We can deliver training on employers’ premises given a minimum group size. We travel across the north and Yorkshire on evenings and weekends as well as weekdays.
An estimated 611,000 workers in Britain sustained an injury at work in 2014/15. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 require all employers to make arrangements to ensure their employees receive immediate attention if they are injured or taken ill at work. This includes carrying out a risk assessment, appointing a suitable amount of first aiders and providing appropriate first aid training. However, having the correct first aid provision in the workplace is not just a legal requirement but important for the well-being of all staff.
First Aid Arrangements Employers, and the self-employed, must make appropriate first aid arrangements for their workplace. They need to consider the workforce, type of work and risks involved. As a minimum you must have: a suitably stocked first aid kit, an appointed person to take charge of first aid, information for employees giving details of arrangements.
First Aiders If, after carrying out a workplace first aid needs assessment, you identify that you need a first aider, they need to be properly trained. Depending upon the level of risk, this might require a one or three day course. Employers need to identify an appropriate training organisation with fully trained and experienced tutors/assessors and verifiers.

To meet OFSTED requirements anyone involved with Child Care and Child Minding must have a first aid certificate appropriate to the age group. Our 2 day Paediatric course follows OFSTED content guidelines and is suitable for those working with children and babies up to the age of 8. We also deliver a one day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course. This is suitable for those caring for children who aren’t required to comply with OFSTED’s Childcare Register or Early Years Foundation Stage Statutory Framework and those who support fully trained paediatric first aiders.
