Ross Gaddes is the NZ Schempp-Hirth agent and owner of Auckland’s Sailplane Services. In June last year Ross and his wife Sally left Drury’s perpetual winter rain and headed for some European sunshine. The Arcus, a new prototype twin seat sailplane had just been revealed to the world by SchemppHirth and as the NZ agent Ross felt he had to get over there and check it out.
