Session on Charitable Trusts & NGOs Changes on Tax Laws and CSR related challenges The Chamber under the auspices of the MCCI Commi�ees on Direct Taxes & CSR organised a Session on the Charitable Trusts & NGOs - Changes on Tax Laws and CSR related challenges on 3rd December 2021. Mr.Vikram Vijayaraghavan, Co-Chairman, MCCI Direct Taxes Commi�ee welcomed the par�cipants and introduced the Chief Guest. The Keynote Address was by Mr.K.Ravi Ramachandran IRS, Commissioner of Income Tax (Exemp�ons), Government of India. Ms Rajashree Natarajan, Chairperson, CSR Commi�ee delivered the formal vote of thanks.
In the Technical Session, Ms.Subhashini Ganapathy , Founder Partner, Subashini & Associates LLP addressed on the Charitable Trusts & NGOs – Changes on Tax Laws and CSR issues & challenges. A�er the detailed address, the Q and A session was moderated by Mr.Vikram Vijayaraghavan & Ms Rajashree Natarajan, Chairperson, CSR Commi�ee. The queries were answered by Subhashini. Ms Vidya Durai , Co-Chair, MCCI CSR Commi�ee delivered the formal vote of thanks. The session was a�ended by 120 par�cipants and the feedback was posi�ve.

Shri.U.Udayabhaskar Reddy, Chairman, MCCI Logis�cs commi�ee gave the Welcome Address. Shir.R.Srivatsan, Addi�onal Asst.Director, NACIN set the context and introduced the Chief Guest. The Chief Guest Shri.K.S.V.V.Prasad, IRS., Addi�onal Director General, Na�onal Academy of Customs Indirect Taxes & Narco�cs (NACIN) addressed the par�cipants on the importance of these regula�ons and the schemes. A�er the Chief Guest’s Address a Shri. Venugopalan Nair, IRS., Assistant Director Assistant Director – Training . Na�onal Academy of Customs Indirect Taxes & Narco�cs (NACIN) made an elaborate presenta�on for the benefit of the members. The presenta�on was followed by a Q and A Session and the queries were addressed.

Seminar on EXIM Bank’s New Ini�a�ves for Indian Exporters (jointly with EXIM Bank) The Chamber organized an Outreach Seminar on the “EXIM Bank’s New Ini�a�ves for Indian Exporters” on 28th December 2021 jointly with EXIM Bank. Ms. K. Saraswathi, Secretary General, MCCI welcomed the par�cipants. Mr. J. Krishnan, Member, MCCI General Commi�ee & Partner, S Natesa Iyer Logis�cs LLP set the context by delivering the opening remarks.
Mr. B. Karthikeyan , Assistant General Manager & Regional Head, Export-Import Bank of India (India Exim Bank) made a detailed presenta�on on the various export Ini�a�ves offered by EXIM Bank. A�er the Presenta�on, there was a Special Address by Smt. F.D. Initha, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, Govt. of India. General Commi�ee Mee�ng The General Commi�ee mee�ng was held on 11th December 2021.
Expert Commi�ees Mee�ng The Expert Commi�ee on Direct Taxes had a mee�ng on 8th December 2021 to discuss the issues for submi�ng the Pre Budget Memorandum on Direct Taxes. The Expert Commi�ee on GST had a mee�ng on 10th December 2021 to discuss the issues for submi�ng the Pre Budget Memorandum on GST. The consolidated Pre budget memorandum was sent to the Ministry of Finance on 22nd December 2021.
