MCC offers a surplus auction, giving the public the opportunity to reuse items the College has outgrown. MCC will take items that one area has outgrown and put them to use in a new area.

SUSTAINABILITY LEADERSHIP PRESENTATION SERIES (SLPS) Monthly speaker series in collaboration with Central Community College, Joslyn Institute for Sustainable Community, UNL Environmental Studies, University of Nebraska-Omaha Center for Urban Sustainability and Hastings College and Nebraska Recycling council. Covered arts and humanities, environmental justice, information technology and systems, manufacturing and industry, social sciences and transportation systems.

SCORE 29.5 The Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education has developed The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System. STARS is a transparent, self-reporting framework for colleges and universities to measure their sustainability performance.
