Rob and Barbara Armstrong, Part Time- Resident Golf. The Armstrong’s are both retired and are avid golfers. They are members of Marsh Creek CC, St. Augustine, FL and former members of Orchard Creek CC, Waynesboro, VA.
Alex and Jessica Bernstein, Sport Membership. Alex a Glass Artist and Owner of AGB Glass. Jessica is a City Planner for City of Asheville although( she has spent much of the last year as a de facto virtual third grade teacher!). They have a son, Max age 9. They are previous members of Grove Park Inn and are looking forward to having fun and socializing with other families at CCA. Other interests include: Alex is an avid cyclist while Jessica prefers running and they love to travel together as a family and can’t wait to get back out and about and on a plane to a fun destination soon. Community/charity passions: They are supporters of ATRC in Celo, NC (Appalachian Therapeutic Riding Center); Alex serves on the board for both the Asheville Art Museum and the North Carolina Glass Center. Deanna and Sid Border joined the Sport membership. Deanna is Senior Immunology Account Executive with Abbvie. Sid is the Broker/Owner of Carolina Historic Homes. They have two sons, Eli age 15, and Logan age 11. We would like to thank Kelly and Will Rice for their sponsorship.
Caley and Bret Bowman, Sport. Caley is a Broker with Mosaic Realty. Bret is the Owner of Asheville Ascent Group
(landscape design). They have two children; daughter, Breezy, age 8, and son, Canyon, age 6. The Bowman’s joined for the pool, tennis, social, networking, and community for the kids. Other interests include mountain biking, skiing, hiking, and travel. Community passion – environmental improvement.
Colin Byrd and Stephanie Duncan, Junior Sport membership. Colin is Project Manager for McMaster Construction &
Real Estate Group. Stephanie is Co-Owner of Duncan & York, a downtown Asheville retail shop. She has also been doing interior design for the last 14 years. They joined the club for the social, fitness and pool, and they both enjoy playing golf. Other interests include being at the beach, travel, music, woodworking, designing spaces together, fishing and hiking. We would like to thank Lindsay Woodruff (the other owner of D&Y) for her sponsorship.
Not Pictured: Christi and Nicholas Butts, Sport. Christi is a Sales Representative with Abbvie. Nicholas is Owner/Operator Audio, Inc. They have one son, Kane age 14. The Butts joined the club for the social connections, pool, tennis and gym to work out and participate in the classes. Other interests include biking, gardening, cooking and traveling. Dr. Michael and Erin Chester, Junior Executive Golf. Earl a Radiologist with Triad Radiology Associates. Erin is a Senior Data Consultant with Premier, Inc. They have two children; a son Ian age 8, and a daughter Alexis age 5. They are previous members of Whitefish Lake Golf Club. The Chester’s are looking for a family-oriented club where the kids can meet other children and getting the entire family into golf and play tennis. Dr. Chester is an avid fly fisherman and played tennis at Idaho State University and enjoys tennis. Community/charity passion: Interested in helping people find temporary and permanent housing when they’ve become homeless.
Michelle and Paul Farago, Sport membership. The Farago’s are former members of the club. Michelle is a non-practicing Chiropractor. Paul
is an Acupuncturist. They have two children; son Sam age 13, and daughter Eleni age 11. The Farago’s are looking forward to enjoying the
pool, tennis and neighborhood connections. Other interests include boating on Fontana Lake.
Karen and Brett Fuhrman, Sport. Karen is the Owner of Further Yoga and Boutique. Brett is the CFO of The Association of Boarding Schools. They have three children, a daughter, Hannah age 14, two sons, Will age 11 and Andrew age 8.
Paul and Donna Garrett, Part-Time Resident Golf. They are retired and live part-time in Gold Canyon, AZ. The Garrett’s are avid golfers and look forward to expanding their friendships in Asheville. We would like to thank Dennis Kwiatkowski for his sponsorship. Brian and Amber Goff, Resident Full Golf. Brian is Director of Investments with United Community Bank. Amber is Director of School Counseling at SC Whitmore School in Columbia, SC. They have two sons; Hayden age 6 and Thompson age 3. Dr. Patricia and Hap Gray, Part-Time Resident Golf. They have retired; Patricia Healthcare and Hap Restauranteur. Past members of Red Tail Golf Club, Avon, OH. Present members of PGA Golf Club, Port St. Lucie, FL. The Gray’s are avid golfers and looking forward to making new friends in Asheville. Not PIctured: Clint Cogburn, Junior Golf. Clint is Associate Attorney with Ward and Smith, PA. Clint grew up in the club. He enjoy working out, playing basketball, water sports, Clint to looks forward to the recreational activities and social interactions of the club. Dr. Brian and Cadence Cohen, Resident Full Golf. Brian is a Urologist. Cadence is a Spa Owner. They have four children; son Leyton age 16, daughter Hannah age 16, son Ari age14, and daughter Samara age 13. Their main interest is golf and pool. Other interests include travel and Brian enjoys bourbon.
THE KILLIAN FAMILY THE MCFATTER FAMILY
Hannah and William Heedy joined as Junior Sport members. William is a Patent and Trademark Attorney with Van Winkle Law Firm. Hannah has worked in real estate. Their daughter, Eleanor, just turned 2 years old. William and Hannah enjoy travel, fitness, live music, and attending Asheville Tourists games. The Heedy family is excited to be a part of the CCA community and would like to thank Ashley and J.D. Torres for their sponsorship.
Derek and Brittany Huninghake, Junior Sport. Derek works in Finance for Buncombe County as a Senior Account Technician for BCSO. Brittany is Regional Sales Manager for Wastequip, based in Charlotte, and travels across NC/SC/VA . They have two children; daughter Avery age 3 and son Miles age 5 months. The Huninghake’s are looking forward to the pool, exercise classes, social experiences, meeting new people, and fun experiences for the children. They are getting adjusted to being a family of 4 but enjoy hiking, having fun with friends and family, sporting events and travel. Ross and Mandy Jackson, Junior Executive Golf. Ross is the SE Area Sales Manager for Motorola Solutions, Inc. Mandy is a Customer Success Manager for People.ai. They have two children; son Lochlan "Loch" age 2, and daughter Isla age 4. The Jackson’s are looking forward to meeting new people, enjoying the pool, and playing golf. Other interests include traveling. hiking and music; Ross plays drums and guitar, Isla is starting piano, and Loch just began playing the drums. Mandy enjoys the alone time while the kids work on their music skills and is also an amateur gardener.
Brett and Cari Killian, Junior Executive Golf. Brett is a Mechanical Engineer with Lockheed Martin – NASA Orion Space program. Cari is the Director of Implementation Services for Great Minds. They have two daughters, Cora age 7 and Daisy age 5. The Killian’s moved here from New Orleans where they spent lots of time listening to live music and enjoying festivals. They are enjoying the change of scenery and loving the mountains and hiking. The Killian’s are looking forward to playing golf and taking advantage of the family friendly events. Community/charity passion: JDRF which supports Type I diabetes research.
Barrett and Anna Grace McFatter, Sport membership. Barrett is an Attorney with Stone &
Christy. Anna Grace is a Realtor with BeverlyHanks and owns Traveling Chic Boutique. They have a daughter, Caroline age 16 months old. The McFatter’s look forward to utilizing the pool, fitness, tennis and meeting new friends.

Matthew Nardotti and Natalie Gray, Junior Sport. Matthew is a Manager for Cisco. Natalie is a Lawyer with Westall, Gray & Connolly, PA. They have two sons, Walter age 3 and Warren age 1. They would like to become more active and involved members of the Asheville community and improve their tennis game. Community/charity passion: Pisgah Legal Services. Collin and Jenni O’Berry, Junior Executive Golf. The O’Berrys are owners of the Altamont Property Group, a real estate brokerage with Keller Williams Realty. They are co-owners of Pilot Cove, a hospitality development bordering Pisgah National Forest in Brevard, as well as USA Raft, an adventure resort on the Nolichucky River in TN. Ron and Janet Pfeffer, Part-Time Resident Golf. Ron retired from a diverse career in Environmental/Utility/Education/Corporate Training areas. Janet retired from a career in Finance/Strategy M&/ A. They are current members of the Golf Club of Amelia Island and past members of Trump National in Charlotte. They are looking forward to making new friends in Asheville and playing our challenging Donald Ross course while improving their golf games. Other interests include hiking, bird watching, bird photography, biking, kayaking, paddleboarding, traveling, and spending time with their adult children and grandchildren. Q Advisory Partners and D-BAT Asheville. They have three children; two sons, Jay age 15, and Tommy age 13; daughter Annie age 9. The Secretarski’s are looking forward to spending time with old and new friends, enjoying the pool, pickleball, fitness, and dining. Josh Smith and Caille Jimenez, Junior Golf Membership. Josh and Caille recently relocated from Raleigh to Asheville while Caille pursues her Doctorate Degree as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist at Western Carolina University. Josh started his career in software sales at Red Hat - IBM upon graduation from East Carolina University in 2017, and is currently a Field Sales Rep for accounts located in Tennessee, Georgia and Florida. When Josh and Caille aren't hiking with their two dogs (Maple and Bodhi) they enjoy playing golf, boating or spending time at the beach/lake. Community passions include coaching a youth travel baseball team, where Josh contributes to the growth and development of young men on the field and within their communities. Russell and Donna Wenner, Resident Full Golf. Russell is a Senior Investment Strategist with Wells Fargo Bank. The Wenner’s live in Biltmore Lake are looking forward to meeting new friends and enjoying the social interactions the club provides. Russell is an avid golfer and ready for the comradery of a good golf game. Donna really enjoys working out at the pool and fitness facility. Logan and Lindsay Woodruff, Sport membership. Logan is an active investor in the markets. Lindsay is the owner of Duncan and York. They have two sons; Thomas age 6 and Henry age 2.
