Dr. John and Sara Burns joined as Junior Executive members. John is a urologist at Mission Hospital. Sara is a nurse practitioner working in Information Technology. They have two children, Thomas (age 2) and Lucas (1 0 months). John and Sara are both from Mississippi, but are so excited to now call Asheville home. The Burns family enjoys hiking and exploring all that WNC has to offer. They are looking forward to utilizing all of the amenities at the club and forming lasting friendships with other families.

George D’Angelo and Laura St. Clair joined as Part-Time Resident members. They are both retired. George is an avid golfer and member of Cliffs Walnut Cove and Naples National, Naples, Florida. They look forward to the golf, food and social amenities of the club. For fun they enjoy biking and travel. Community/Charity passions include the theater. We would like to thank Kevin O’Connor for his sponsorship.

Matt and Kial Doumar joined as Junior Executive Golf members. Matt is the Founder/CEO, Good Uncle (wholly owned subsidiary of Aramark). Kial is the Director of Corporate Events for NBC. The Doumar’s are looking forward to finding competitive golf games, improving their tennis skills, meeting people as they are new to Asheville, enjoying dinner and drinks by the revered culinary team, and having a club to bring their future children to. For fun they enjoy fly fishing, hiking, camping, traveling, starting and growing side businesses, and live music. Community/charity passions –not yet in Asheville as they are new residents. In New York, they were board members of YANY (Young Audiences of New York), an organization whose mission is to use art, in all of its forms, as a catalyst for exploring creativity and advancing equity among youth and families in New York City’s culturally rich yet under-served communities.

Leigh Cohen and Julie Thurman joined with a sport membership. Leigh is a ceramic artist who also owns Claying Around, a paint your own pottery shop in South Asheville. Julie is an esthetician by trade and has a small eyelash extension and skin care business. They enjoy going to concerts, vacationing with family, and traveling to new destinations. They look forward to using the workout facility, having drinks by the pool and a reintroduction to tennis. We thank David and Suzie Carter for their sponsorship.

Mackenzie Deegan and Nathan Diehl joined as Heritage Golf members. Mackenzie is a Receptionist with the Charlotte Street Animal Hospital. Nathan is a Logistics Coordinator. They have a daughter, Lux age 7. Mackenzie and Nathan look forward to enjoying the amenities the club offers that will promote being more active physically and socially. For fun they enjoy riding bikes, roller skating, playing at the lake, camping, hiking with their dogs, going to the beach and watching lots of sports. Michael and Ashley King joined as Junior Executive Golf members. Michael is the Owner of three local health clubs in area “Workout Anytime”. Ashley is the Finance Supervisor for GPM. They are looking forward to playing golf, pool, networking and creating new friendships. For fun they enjoy their boat at Lake James and travel as much as possible. Community/charity passion: Helping out at animal shelters. We would like to thank Robert McBride, member at The Reserve for referring the King’s to the club.

William and Katie Miller joined as Junior Golf members. William is CEO, Aimpoint Digital, LP, a IT consulting company. Katie is a Nurse. They have a son, Liam age 1 . They have recently moved to Asheville from Atlanta, Georgia. The Millers are looking forward to utilizing the amenities the club offers, networking, meeting new families and friends. Other interests include hiking, travel and food. Community/charity passion includes helping the less fortunate!

Mark Shulimson joined as a Sport member. He is retired and loves the game of tennis and has been enjoying the courts often since joining in June.

Billy and Jetta Pyatt joined as Resident Golf members. Billy and Jetta are Co-Owners of Catawba Brewing Company. They’re restarting their golfing hobby after a long hiatus. They look forward to utilizing the course, practice facilities, gym, and dining as a pleasant diversion from work, and as a place to enjoy the WNC outdoors while staying healthy and fit. Other interests include camping, hiking and general traveling.

Dave and Dawn Rubin joined as Resident Golf members. They are in the process of moving from Marco Island, Florida and are searching for a new home in North Asheville. Dave retired three years ago from the Petrochemical Industry as a Vice President of Sales. Dave is an avid outdoorsmen, including golf, mountain climbing, backpacking and pickle ball. Dave and Dawn love to travel, hike and are wine enthusiasts. They look forward to developing new friendships at the club..

Jake and Christi Stansell joined as Junior Executive Golf members. Jake is the owner of Stansell Industries, a textile and industrial machinery company. Christi is a Speech Language Pathologist. They look forward to enjoying the golf, leisure and community opportunities and cultivating new friendships at the club.

Brad and Emily Wareham joined as Sport members. Brad is the Senior Director of Global Sales for ADP. Emily is an Agent with Asheville Realty Group. They have two children, daughter, Avery age 1 2 and son, Chance age 8. The Wareham’s look forward to enjoying the pool, fitness (when open), and the children’s activities the club offers. Other interests include hiking and travel. Community/charity passions include Central United Methodist church. We would like to thank Ali Hirt for her sponsorship.

Charles and Patricia Zellerbach joined as Resident Golf members. Charles is a retired Business Executive, Pulp and Paper and retired Professor. Patricia is a retired Professor. They look forward to playing golf, meeting people and being engaged in the club events. Other interests: Patricia is a writer. Charles paints and plays guitar. They like to travel, go to museums, hiking and being a part of other interesting activities that may come along. Community/charity passions –women and children abuse causes.

Marc Nussbaum and Stephanie Sutton-Nussbaum joined as Resident Golf members. Marc is an attorney, President of Reeder & Nussbaum P.A. Stephanie is an Esthetician and aspiring Interior Decorator. They have a son, Hunter age 1 5 and a daughter, Hailey age 1 0. Both children love to play competitive tennis with the USTA. They have known Director of Tennis, Bill Barber for years and look forward to spending more family time playing golf and tennis and enjoying all the club has to offer. The Nussbaum family also enjoys hiking, biking and traveling.

Jessica Dickinson joined as a Junior Executive member. Jessica is the Owner of Jess Dickinson Properties. She is looking forward to playing golf and socializing at the club. Other interests include the beach, surfing, brewing beer and swimming. Her personal goal is to achieve playing in the US Women’s Mid-Amateur golf tournament. We would like to thank Brandon and Megan Powell for their sponsorship.

Will and Elizabeth Ponder joined as Sport members. They have three children. Son, Wyatt age 1 1 , daughters, Anneliese age 9 and Charlotte age 6.
