Speaking of warmer weather and the future, I’ve had the privilege of reviewing this newsletter prior to publication, and I am simply amazed by all of the activities our staff has put together for your enjoyment. One great aspect is that we encourage visitors to most of our events, so do not hesitate to invite your friends, neighbors and colleagues to an event that you think they may enjoy. If your guest is thinking about joining the club, let me know prior to the visit and I’ll even cover their guest fees!

Same goes for golf, tennis, fitness, or anywhere else you would like to host a prospective member. As the grass turns green and flowers bloom, visitors at the club!

CLUBHOUSE

Greetings,

I would like to express my gratitude for the overwhelming support that I have received since assuming my new position I am beyond thankful for each and every one of you and your kind words of encouragement. Our club truly emanates a family atmosphere, and I am grateful to have found a second home at our club Our members and team make Sedgefield a unique and extraordinary place and I am thrilled to transition into my new role.

I have taken immense pleasure in overseeing the Food and Beverage team over the last few years, and I am excited to be more involved in the entire operation under Scott Stuart's leadership

Many of you have inquired who will be assuming the role of Food and Beverage Director Evan Morris has been a member of our team for several years, and I have had the pleasure of watching him advance in his career. He has been my trusted right-hand man for quite some time, and we are fortunate to have him on our team Evan has been the Food and Beverage Services Director for nearly two years, and I'm confident he'll excel in his new role as Food and Beverage Director.

Please join me on congratulating Evan as he steps into his new role!

A Note From Your Director Of Catering

If you're anything like me, you've likely prepared your garden for the upcoming influx of spring plants that will soon hit your local garden supply store The idea of home-grown cucumbers, vine-ripened tomatoes, and juicy watermelon fills my mind with thoughts of delicious farm-to-table recipes. This time of year offers the opportunity to shop locally for North Carolina-grown produce, with nothing quite comparing to hand-picked NC strawberries straight from the fields Blended with fresh greens, additional berries, and candied nuts, and tossed with a champagne vinaigrette, they make for a light and refreshing summer salad It's just one of the many ideas that get my taste buds excited for the season!

If you're planning an event at Sedgefield or the Cardinal by Pete Dye, I urge you to sit down with Chef Ron and I to discuss your vision and ideas We have an unlimited range of options, from specialty themes to menu styles, and we're excited to bring your ideas to life Whether you're looking for farm-to-table freshness or a seasonal selection of menu items, like the summer berry salad you desire, we're thrilled to work with you to plan your next special celebration You can bring us your own ideas or let us help create a vision that complements your event Either way, we're here to help and excited to plan your next event!

In the meantime, I hope to see you preparing your gardens for the season or enjoying one of our fresh, garden-inspired menu options in the coming weeks

See you soon, Travis
