CULTURAL ADAPTATION

CULTURAL TOUR: TOKO-TOKO TRAIN July 12, 10 AM - 4 PM

We will take a train ride through the scenic Iwakuni countryside. After lunch, we will ride the Toko-Toko Train through the Kirara Yume Tunnel – a tunnel of decorations made from glowing stones. On the way back to base, we will stop at the ‘Pure Line Nishiki’ rest area for specialty souvenirs of wasabi and konnyaku potato. Bring lunch and additional yen to cover personal expenses. Participation fees paid at registration. Nishiki-gawa Seiryu Line: Adults ¥870, Child (6-11 years) ¥440. Toko-Toko Train: Adults ¥500, Child (4-11 years) ¥250. Sign up June 12 - July 9 at the IR&R office in Bldg. 411, Rm. 101. §253-6161 The Cultural Adaptation Program offers guided bus tour of local venues and attractions. The only requirement is that you pre-register in person with the Information, Referral and Relocation Office in Bldg. 411, Rm. 101. The tour is open to all SOFA status personnel and their dependents age 5 and older. If this is your initial tour, childcare will be provided for dependents under the age of 5 and those requiring after school care. You are responsible for completing the registration packet at the: CDC (253-5584)/SAC (253-4769). Participation in subsequent tours will require participants to pay for childcare.**Minimum of 5 patrons are required for this trip, otherwise it will be cancelled. **
