John Paranchi I hope you and your family had a fantastic Christmas and we wish you the best for the year ahead. 2017 was another fascinating year for Sydney Real Estate with further increases early in the year followed by an easing off in the second half. My team and I were proud to have sold just under $80 million worth of property with an average sale price of close to $2.1 million. Your local McGrath team was responsible for 296 sales locally worth over $530 million dollars which was slightly up on last year. Our average sales price was $1,990,000 and we entered over 10,000 buyers into our data base. The year ahead is shaping up to be an interesting year. Many experts are predicting an easing of price growth with some expecting slight falls. An oversupply of apartments combined with tougher lending criteria, especially for overseas buyers, will affect apartment prices. Houses on the other hand are still undersupplied in many areas, especially locally. We expect that A-grade local properties to be popular whilst those with slight negatives showing an easing of demand.
