2014 INNER BRISBANE MARKET REPORT fortitude valley | newstead | teneriffe jake mackay

A word from Jake Mackay

It’s a really exciting time to be involved in real estate in the inner city market of Brisbane, all you have to do is drive around the inner city suburbs which are a hive of activity with construction, new retail/ cafÊ precincts and public spaces. The apartment market has seen consistent activity over the past six months with interstate investors continuing to dominate the market particularly in the sub $500k price point. Larger apartments in suburbs such as Newstead and Teneriffe are very popular with those downsizing from houses looking for easy access to the CBD and of course the lifestyle perks of the area. Currently there is over 40% less property available for sale in inner city suburbs than this time last year. This has created a distinct trend of lower days on market which we anticipate will continue into the immediate future. I offer a market update via video electronically, residents in the area have found the information in this valuable to keep in the loop with the market trends every quarter, to receive this please contact me on the below details. If you are considering buying or selling in the inner Brisbane market, I look forward to providing experience, knowledge and resources needed to achieve the best possible result for you.

“I engaged Jake to sell our apartment in Teneriffe. From my first phone call to Jake I was impressed. His communications both verbal and written are excellent. He kept me informed of all activities associated with the successful sale of the apartment in a timely manner and was always available to respond to any enquiries that I may have had. I have dealt with a number of real estate agents throughout Australia and Jake is certainly the best. His professionalism, enthusiasm and honestly are beyond reproach. D.
