This innovative wall decoration company imparts an element of bespoke to any interior space with the underlying key being your creative direction. Each and every piece is made to order to ensure its unique flair and individuality. The Wallsticker Company is the result of two women being on maternity leave and combining their talents to create an opportunity

to work from home while raising their children. Nursing backgrounds were of no help here, however, Jen had always found expression through designing and Fi enjoyed the art of public relations and sales. Blending their respective talents gave birth to a formidable creative team. “We tried a bit of painting and started out by creating personalised children’s canvasses. 5

They became hugely popular and the business rapidly grew from there,” says Jen. A testament to their self-taught skills and inherent creativity, late 2006 brought with it a welcomed light bulb moment where they discovered that canvass art could become wall based art. The process began through implementing the designs of a graphic artist and producing a mcgrath.com.au

As the wallpaper trend reemerged, this business savvy pair decided to develop their own signature range. They set the tone with a baroque print and gradually expanded into a compilation of designs by Jen, signature ranges and affiliations with photographers.

Three years later in 2009 it became clear to this dynamic duo that they had outgrown the confines of their working shed and upgraded to a more professional office nearby. The popularity of wall art grew and so did their brand’s success, landing them with the Victorian Micro Telstra Business of the Year award in 2011.

“We help people create their ultimate space by allowing them to customise their design and therefore create something that is unique and special to them,” says Fiona.

“This was one of the most amazing feelings; we did not know that we had won until the actual night. Post award we saw more interest in our product from businesses.”

As expected the year of 2012 brought with it more achievements including the expansion of the removable wallpaper range and a second office to house their rapidly expanding business. With a broad target market consisting of anyone who has a blank wall, this product appeals to everyone from new parents decorating their nurseries to now adding a contemporary edge to commercial settings such as restaurants, hotels and office spaces.
