considered
The exhibiting designers and companies must be able to present products characterised by innovative and original design on a high international level. Exhibitors are expected to present new products of the same high quality at every show. To participate at New Note exhibitors are invited and selected based on the following criteria:
Innovation: Exhibitors must be innovative when it comes to products,
design concept and brand. Quality: Products must be of high international quality. International standard: Exhibitors must have a high international standard or potential. Product development: Exhibitors must have continuity in their product development.
Stand Stand layout must be kept simple with only exclusive products on display. Exhibitors should therefore avoid overloading their stands with products and are expected to make an additional effort with stand layout in order to create an extraordinary experience for the visitors. Formland reserves the right to evaluate exhibitors from time to time to maintain the high level of design. Therefore, a New Note exhibitor cannot be guaranteed a stand in the hall at each show and may expect to be moved to another hall, if there is no re¬newal of collections and/or stands. In addition, there is no guarantee that the physical location of stands will be the same every time. The purpose is to ensure that the hall is constantly renewed.
Upcoming designers
New Note is the place where young talents are introduced to the industry, and wild cards can be distributed to noteworthy young designers. The “Upcoming Designer” exhibition shows projects by young designers and design students.

INDUSTRIAL EDGE
After a period with focus on handcraft and nature, we see a new tendency to extend beyond the early industrial era and not least - the factory. Inspiration comes from the early 20th century, when the small industries moved to the outskirts of the cities. Today, the old factories and warehouses are revived by small companies, setting up “workspaces where they combine office space and production facilities. This has provided new opportunities for local production - like in the old days, but where craftsmanship and simple industrial production are extendend with the use of modern technology. This trend generates products with a high degree of utility. Function and simplicity are important elements in a more unpretentious approach to design than previously seen. Instead, the focus is on creating meaningfull products for daily use.
