CENTER NEWS McLean Community Center 2021 Governing Board Election The Governing Board and staff of the McLean Community Center strongly encourage all qualified residents to vote for members of MCC’s 2021-2022 Governing Board. Your vote sends a very important message of your support of the Center’s programs and services.

Open Voting: Open Voting began on Wednesday, March 17, at MCC. Residents may vote in-person or by mail. To request a ballot for your household, you may fill out an online form on the center’s website, www.mcleancenter.org, phone 703-744-9348 or send an email to elections@mcleancenter.org. Please indicate how many adult or youth ballots are needed for your household. The requested ballots will be mailed to your home. The package will include a pre-addressed return envelope for each ballot. A signed affidavit must accompany each completed ballot. Please mail or drop off your ballot to McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Avenue, McLean, Va. 22101. Open voting will end on Saturday, May 15, at 5 p.m. All ballots must be received at MCC by 5 p.m. to be counted.

In-Person Voting Opportunities: Vote between the hours of 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. at McLean Day 2021—A Drive-Thru Celebration, on Saturday, May 15, at McLean Community Center, 1234 Ingleside Ave. You may also vote in person during the Center’s Earth Day McLean—Act Locally drive-thru event on Saturday, April 17, 9 a.m.–noon.

Qualifications to Vote: 1. You must be a resident of the McLean Community Center tax district (Dranesville Small District 1A); however, you need not be registered to vote in the general election. 2. ADULT VOTERS: You must be at least 18 years old on McLean Day, Saturday, May 15, to vote for adult candidates (born on or before May 15, 2003). 3. YOUTH VOTERS: You must be 15 through 17 years old on McLean Day, Saturday, May 15, to vote for youth candidates (born May 16, 2003 to May 16, 2006). Youth voters may vote for one candidate from each of the two high school boundary areas: McLean or Langley high schools. You must live within a boundary area but need not attend the school.
