Founded in June of this year, we at McLemore Luong are definitely the new kids on the block within the Houston A+E community. We are very excited about this new venture and having the opportunity to participate in our first team effort that gives back to the community that has given so much to us. So, when it came time to create a theme for our sculpture the script pretty much wrote itself. With the owners and several employees spending their elementary school days in the early 90’s, the term ‘new kids on the block’ is one we are all very familiar with. Between the pop band and the childhood book full of quirky poems of the same name, our neon-colored memories brought us to the following play on words – “The New CAN on the Block”. This theme combines both a fun expression of where the firms stands today along with our commitment to serve the community, which in the particular instance is feeding Houston one can at a time. Our firm may be small, but every contribution helps the mission of ending hunger. If the whole block gets together there is no limit to what we can do.
