Even as a startup, we knew we wanted to document and share our growth as a community and company. Alec's wife has pu daughters' lives since they were born - and it's the most precious book in their entire library. In this same spirit of memory, this our Beginning. We're excited to document the infancy of the change we're initiating and the community we're building to ens after we're gone. We're looking at our first clients and projects and what we are looking forward to as we continue into 2022 part of this Beginning. We are grateful for the relationships that inspired us to start this journey, the relationships we've esta even know we had until we started. Great People Creating Better Architecture. We think of our team as a tight-knit Community ‒ a group by association with a desire for a common goal. Starting a company is a challenge, but the hardest part by far is assembling the Community. We ended 2021 with 7 full-time employees, all with the goal of developing fresh, creative, and highperforming spaces that shape their surroundings for the better.

How are we doing things differently? Ultimately, we want to change the business of architecture by making it more collaborative and creating an environment where the bottom line is a driver of the firm but is not the only driver. One of the first conversations we had about how to make McLemore Luong successful centered on how we attract people to the studio. Architecture has a huge attrition problem, so we began questioning our hiring and management practices. We decided that the best way to get people to work with us was to promise and encourage their ability to have a voice, provide a challenging but work-life balanced livelihood, and offer flexible, competitive benefits. In turn, our clients receive a better, happier, and healthier version of our team - Great People Creating

Over the first six months of our first year in business, we succeeded beyond our initial expectations. We're excited to share our many milestones and accomplishments - none of which could have been reached without our talented team, amazing clients, and supportive family and friends.
