Since its creation in 1959, the department has maintained a focus on both student success and research excellence. Outstanding students, passionate faculty members, and dedicated staff all work together to teach, learn, innovate, and create solutions that will lead to a brighter world.

We are proud to be part of McMaster’s Faculty of Engineering, which produces world-leading, collaborative research, while ensuring our students are placed in the centre of the learning process. It’s tremendously gratifying to be part of our students’ journeys.
