Reeg is passionate about serving her community. Currently she serves as a Board Member to Marshall Hospital, Planned Giving of the El Dorado Community Foundation, and member of the Assistance League of Sacramento’s Advisory Board. She is past Chair of Los Rios Community College Foundation.

Certified Financial Advisor Shari Merle has been helping clients pursue their retirement dreams with expert financial planning throughout El Dorado County since 1988. Having previously owned a tax practice, Shari is able to take into account the tax ramifications of her clients investment decisions, and works with them to reduce their tax liability in order to let more of their money work for them.
Her career choice was initially driven by curiosity. “I’ve always been extremely intrigued as to how and why some people ended up so well off and others didn’t,” she explained. “It wasn’t necessarily how much they made. It was what they did with it. The decisions they made or didn’t make. I have the discipline and tenacity to assist those who want help with financial security.”
She is passionate when offering her advice to others interested in getting into the financial planning field. “Always, and I mean always, with no exception, do what is right for the client first and not yourself.” She explained that over the years she has come across many in her industry who put themselves as the priority and not the client. “That might work for a short time but it is not sustainable.”
Her passions outside work are one of the furry kind, animals and animal rights, and traveling, by biking and hiking. “All of our vacations are active and I know that’s what keeps me young.”
Shari has no interest in slowing down. “Ten years from now I hope to be doing exactly what I am doing today, which is building portfolios for clients, hiking and biking the world and making contributions to animal rights organizations.”
She hopes her legacy will be, “That I made a difference and I cared.”

Giving back and helping her community is what Edward Jones Financial Advisor
Suzy O’Neal gets to do every day.
For seven years O’Neal has helped clients come up with a financial plan for their future while volunteering at her church and being a part of Cameron Park Rotary and the Shingle Springs/ Cameron Park Chamber of Commerce.
“I love helping others and I’ve done that my whole life,” O’Neal said. “I’m inspired everyday by the people I’m so fortunate to work with and I wanted to continue that in my business.”
For 17 years O’Neal worked in the nonprofit field. She said her love of giving back to the community was how she transitioned to becoming a second-generation financial advisor at Edward Jones.
Growing up, with her father being an advisor, she learned how to be financially stable and has taken those skills to help out her community.
When a new client sits down in O’Neal’s office to talk about a long-term financial plan or strategy, the first thing she does is get to know them because each client brings a unique set of circumstances.
“I want to make a meaningful difference in my clients lives by helping them achieve their financial goals,” O’Neal said.
Her husband also gives back to the community, and also served in the U.S. Navy for 14 years.
O’Neal said in 15 years she hopes her kids will see that their mom has given her all to the community and family.

I would like to thank everyone for their vote for #1 Favorite Daycare and continuing to trust us with your precious children. I love being part of this community and helping children learn and grow. With 4 children of my own (now 25, 22, 13 and 12), my own journey began in the daycare preschool eld because I was unhappy with the care and education I was receiving.
I have been blessed to have a large facility in El Dorado Hills where I employ 30 loving teachers and care for 200 children. We offer education and care for babies, Preschoolers, Pre-K, and private Kindergarten. Don’t be fooled by
our large size, our teachers make each classroom homey and warm. The kids have lots of outdoor space to play, we are on over an acre and have 4 large playgrounds, a soccer eld, and a an organic garden. The Gift of Kids outdoor area gives the kids space to explore, garden, and play on age appropriate playgrounds.
The teachers at The Gift of Kids Daycare and Preschool include talent that brings us music, yoga, and even Spanish on a daily basis. We have been working with soccer shots for over 8 years and have a very structured and advanced curriculum! Teachers here are all educated in
child development, CPR and First Aid certi ed, and make it a priority to continue their education.
The Gift of Kids Inc. is celebrating 24 years in business, with 14 years in our same location, Business Park 1. We could not have done it without the many wonderful families here in the community that I have called home for 20 years! Again...Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me live out my dream in a business that I love and families that continue to bless us with their children. We have newly renovated the inside of our school, so come by to check it out and say hello anytime!

Annie Aubrey, Chief Executive Officer at Chuck’s Wellness has been in the industry for eight years and in her current position for nearly five years now, two of which have seen the adult-use dispensary in Placerville open to the public.
Aubrey admits to shifting careers a few times in her life. She has even spent time in Africa building schools and forming women and youth groups. Ultimately, Aubry was led to the cannabis industry.
“What I found when I worked in cannabis is I can reach more people,” she said. “Whether it be to listen to their health issues, support them by suggesting products or intuitive guidance to help them move from where they are into where they want to be.”
Aubrey admits that, like any retail business, the industry can be hard work albeit with some rewards.
“One thing I think all the employees love about working [in the industry] is that while you’re working in retail, you form relationships with people and you genuinely get to be of service to your community.”
Aubrey said she would like her story to inspire.
“They too can put in the work and become whoever they dream to be,” she said. “Always say yes to the challenge to grow, it’s there to teach you something about yourself. When having to choose between two things, always pick the brave choice.”

Sometimes our life plans change and although change can be scary, it can also be a good thing. Sixteen years ago, one El Dorado County woman made a change that would affect the rest of her life.
“My degree was in English education and when we moved to El Dorado County in 2000, I couldn’t find a teaching job,” said Christie Johnson. “So I went into banking and when I left banking, I came over to Edward Jones as a financial advisor’s assistant, we call them branch office administrators. I worked for that advisor for four years and when he changed firms, I chose to go get my license.”
Johnson has been in the investment industry for 16 years and in her current position as an advisor for 12 years.
As an advisor, she gets to work every day helping clients realize their financial goals and dreams.
“I like that each day is different and the market changes, people’s lives change,” she said. “You get to celebrate things with clients. You also have the honor of walking through some pretty tough things with them.”
Johnson added her goal is to be someone that people can rely on and trust.
“I would like to be known for making a positive difference in my client’s lives and not just financially,” she said.
In addition, Johnson hopes that she leaves clients in a better place than when she started working with them.
The office on Fowler Way in Placerville is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

When small businesses are vying against big corporations for attention on the internet, Vickie Christensen’s decades of experience in digital marketing can provide a competitive edge. With attention a premium in the digital age, being found easily and quickly on the internet can make all the difference in generating a consistent and growing customer base.
Wellman Works Ltd., Christensen’s company, builds internet visibility with web design, internet marketing and building Google business profiles to ensure that “clients will land on your brand.”
Christensen first moved to El Dorado County in 1979, and started working with computers in her first home business shortly afterward in 1980. She worked in the internet industry as a senior network engineer before starting her current business, Wellman Works, in 1997. Going back to school in 2009, Christensen sharpened her skills further by studying business marketing, fusing her education with her internet technology background.
With Christensen’s skill set perfectly combined to help others navigate the digital landscape, Wellman Works helps small businesses and individuals create their own footprint on the internet.
What does Christensen consider the primary goal of Wellman Works?
“Help small businesses have the same advantage as large corporations within their budget,” she replied.
Christensen’s passion for the work is obvious, as her vision of the future 10 years from now is almost identical to her vision for next week. She wants to keep with her work, creating web sites and helping small businesses get found on the internet by “being best friends with Google.”

As evidenced by her mouthwatering cuisine, Jarunee Fleming comes from a long line of head chefs from top Thai restaurants. With 26 years in the restaurant business, Fleming has been co-owner and head chef of Thai Paradise for 15 years and has made the eatery a local favorite.
Coming from Bangkok, she sought to introduce Americans to authentic, delicious and healthy Thai food. “I make my special recipes to make people happy,” Fleming said. Indeed, her farmto-fork dishes with locally sourced produce and fresh meat and seafood brought in daily make her dishes flavorful and unforgettable, always bringing customers back for more.
But Fleming isn’t content to remain complacent in her success. She has mentored several past employees in opening their own restaurants, encouraging them to adhere to the high quality fare and service she offers at Thai Paradise.
“My advice to them has been to treat employees well, manage the business of running the restaurant, cook with the best ingredients and the best recipes and have a true passion for the restaurant business,” said Fleming.
“I wish my legacy will be that I have helped increase and improve the culinary culture of Thai food here in the U.S.,” Fleming shared.
On days when she isn’t whipping up a plate of spicy Drunken Noodles, Fleming also enjoys taking care of a beloved garden. “I especially like taking care of my roses and Thai herbs growing at our restaurants,” she confided. “And I love spending time with my family.”

If you are like most folks, you probably don’t know a whole lot about cannabis.
In fact, more than most other industries, there is a lot of misinformation and fear related to this product and its use. Our mission here at Chuck’s Wellness Center is to inform consumers. We know education and awareness are lacking in all aspects of this industry. In this article we share information about the products we sell and debunk some of the myths and concerns around cannabis.
Did you know that all living creatures have an endo-cannabinoid (endo=internal) system, also referred to as your ECS? is system’s primary job is to regulate all the other systems in the body.
e ECS has been linked to the to the following processes: appetite and digestion, metabolism, chronic pain, in ammation, immune system response, mood, learning, memory, motor control, sleep, cardiovascular system function, muscle formation, bone remodeling and growth, liver function, reproductive system function, stress, and skin and nerve function. e ECS has two primary receptors, known as CB1 & CB2 receptors. Together they help to balance your system and regulate your bodily functions. Further, your body produces endocannabinoids constantly, and they are always in your system. You may have heard of a “runners high”. is phenomenon is mistakenly referred to as endorphins but it is in fact an endocannabinoid e ect.
Did you know that cannabis is a phytocannabiniod (phyto = plant) found naturally occurring in the cannabis plant? THC andCBD are two of the primary cannabinoids that are most familiar. However, there are more than 100 cannabinoids found in cannabis plants and in the products you can buy. THC, CBD, and these other cannabinoids interact with your ECS by binding to receptors, just like your naturally produced endocannabinoids. is allows you to experience a range of e ects on your body and mind, some more desirable than others.
For example, THC may help to reduce pain and stimulate your appetite. But it can also cause paranoia and anxiety in some cases.
Learning to nd the right cannabinoid and dose is where we come in.
Did you know we are asked daily “Can I use cannabis products to treat ailments without getting high?” at’s a good question! THC is the cannabinoid that
causes the “high” feeling. Taking other cannabinoids like CBD in conjunction with THC can calm the psychoactivity a great deal, and will calm anxieties and paranoia too. Other popular options like taking just CBD or CBG (the “mother cannabinoid”) impacts our natural receptors without psychoactive e ects.
Cannabis products are available in a large variety of cannabinoid mixtures and doses.
ere is a right t for nearly everyone. We call it nding the “sweet spot”. We always suggest you start slow and low until you nd the balance you seek.
Did you know that all products sold in our store are tested, precisely dosed and purchased from a CA licensed business? We do not and cannot legally sell cannabis unless it is traced from plant to product in our stores, from licensed business. Alternatively, there are no regulations on the traditional market or over the counter CBD that you nd in drugstores or other venues. e quality you nd in a licensed cannabis dispensary means you can trust the product you are purchasing.
Cannabis is thousands of years old and was a part of e very doctor’s, homeopath’s, and homemaker’s medicine cabinet for ages. e medicinal use and bene ts of this plant have been tainted by lies and a culture of suspicion today. We want to do everything we can to shi the narrative and teach the truth.
Chuck’s Wellness is open 7 days a week. ere is no appointment or purchase necessary to enter our store. We are here to help inform you on what might be the best place to start your next step in addressing the ailments you struggle with. Living with pain or bad health can wreak havoc on all aspects in our life: jobs, relationships, family, and fun. We believe if everyone spent one day in the dispensary, they would walk out with a completely di erent view of the work being done to support each person who visits. ere is a reason we do this work and that reason is YOU.

In 2019, Angela Dameri, with her business partner Jeff Trexler, co-founded Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices NorCal Real Estate, a franchise owned by Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway. Achieving this milestone demanded a rigorous vetting process and impeccable real estate credentials. Today, Dameri & Trexler have accomplished remarkable success, selling a billion dollars in real estate.
Dameri’s journey began with an MBA and a job in the biotech industry. However, Dameri’s love of real estate drew her to start renovating and investing in houses, ultimately earning her real estate license in 2004. She became a Top Producer in her first year and has consistently been a top agent in the region. Recently, Dameri earned Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Chairman’s Diamond Award, an honor bestowed on the top one half of one percent of agents worldwide.
“I’m always trying to create a win-win situation,” Dameri explained. “I want the buyers and sellers to feel confident about the process. To do this, I focus more on the customers than the sale. I’m looking to create long-term relationships, not just quick sales. Social media cannot replace a handshake and getting to look someone in the eye while setting goals and weighing options.”
This people-first philosophy has served Dameri well. It is not uncommon for clients from many years ago to reach out again for her help; in fact, she had clients from 10 years ago inquire if she could help their daughter. “It’s hard work, but you must always be planting seeds,” she said.
“I can’t ever see myself retiring,” Dameri joked, “Although I hope my legacy is being remembered by the people I’ve helped and that they recall me fondly.”

Sometimes our chosen path gets detoured and that detour can lead to bigger and better things. For one El Dorado County real estate agent, that journey has lasted for more than 25 years.
“After college, I thought I was going to go into something completely different but I got recruited into the title business,” Michele Stewart said. “I was an escrow officer for 15 years in commercial escrow.
When I left, I decided I wanted to get onto the other side of the desk and sell so I started my own business in 1999 and did that up until 2014. I sold residential and commercial real estate and then joined the Century 21 brand as a manager and I'm still at it.”
Although she had planned on a different career path, the real estate business was nothing new to her.
“I grew up in the business,” she said. “I heard about it at the kitchen table. My parents were both in real estate and title, my mom was an escrow officer for 50 years.”
Stewart’s office in El Dorado Hills has 45 real estate professionals.
“I actually coach, mentor and assist them along with doing some business myself,” she said.
Stewart added she’d like to be remembered for her leadership.
“When my real estate agents look back and see where they started and how they got to where they are I would love to be that person that comes to mind that when they were ready to give up, I wouldn’t let them and I kept them going,” she said.

Starting a business can be a daunting experience but with determination, hard work and the right attitude, that business can blossom into being a success.
Tiffany L Andrews, CWLS, CFLS, owner of the Law Office of Tiffany L Andrews, P.C. in Folsom and Fairfied, said early in her career she worked as an associate for other law firms, however, while going through her own tumultuous divorce, and becoming a single mother overnight, she found the only way she could meet her childrens’ schedules, their needs and make the kind of money she needed to support her family, was to go out on her own.
“I’d always wanted to be a business owner.” Andrews said. “But, it was becoming a single mom literally overnight and having no choice but to protect my kids that forced me to do it. Now, after facing COVID in 2020 and knowing what I have now seen would occur in 2021, with my oldest son Sgt. (Retired) Tyler Vargas-Andrews being blown up and almost losing his life in Kabul, Afghanistan, it was one of the best decisions I ever made.”
Andrews is a dual specialist in the areas of family law and dependency law and her main goal is to continue to strive and serve the community.
“Sometimes, academics and training can only go so far and it is what fires you and you have walked through in life that often coupled with the academics and training that sets a good attorney apart from others,” she said.

Building up a business is never easy. The hours are long and it can be very time consuming but for Nicole Alexander and her husband Denny, Sacramento Area Wood Specialists has been a labor of love.
Nicole has been involved with the business for about 15 years and said her, husband, Denny learned how to install flooring and he started his own company and worked out of an inhome office.
“We had one van and worked out of there, then we opened the showroom and became a corporation,” she said.
Serving the Sacramento and El Dorado County areas, Sacramento Area Wood Specialists located in Rancho Cordova, was founded in 1998 and specializes in installing prefinished hardwood, laminate, carpet and vinyl flooring for residential and commercial properties.
Nicole said her goal is to ensure the customer’s needs are met and that the job is done correctly. “I want to make sure the customers are happy,” she said. “At the end of the year my goal is to make sure we have had a successful year and that we have room for growth and goals for expanding the company.”
In 10 years Nicole hopes that she and her husband have grown the company to the point that they have project managers who can run things and she and her husband can travel.
When she’s not working, Nicole spends time with her husband and two children aged 17 and 15. They also enjoy attending church every Sunday.
The store is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and weekends by appointment.

Cyndi Romano loves helping people.
“Closing escrows for all my borrowers is rewarding and especially for my first time home buyers,” she said. “I love to let them know they are now HOMEOWNERS!”
She has been in lending since 1984, been in mortgage lending since 1989 and been an originator since 2000.
For those contemplating a lending career she said, “Get ready to learn something new every day for the rest of your career. Our field is constantly changing — like many, I suppose — and we need to keep ourselves educated and updated.”
More important than her career is her volunteer work she does with the El Dorado County Association of Realtors, Honor Our Troops.
“I’ve been involved with them since 2007 and I’ve been the committee chair since 2010,” she said. “The mission of Honor Our Troops is to send care packages to deployed service members who are from El Dorado County or have a family member in EDC, provide scholarships for returning veterans and their children and provide thank you gifts to veterans and active military service members when they purchase a home in El Dorado County.”
As for her career, she enjoys educating those she works with and, of course, her clients. “I also enjoy being able to promote other local businesses when my clients or others in my sphere need a referral,” she added.
She plans to continue living, working and playing in El Dorado County and wants to be known for supporting and serving veterans and the local community.

Cindy Minghelli said she has always had a special place in her heart for animals.
“When I saw and heard how cruel people can be, I could not stand by and do nothing.” Minghelli took action. She founded Agee Wildlife/Fat Kitty City located in El Dorado Hills, and is responsible for saving the lives of thousands of felines over the past 17 years.
Her passion for rescue started early in her life, following in the footsteps of her parents who spent their lives rehabilitating small animals in the wild. Fat Kitty City began with 35 feral cats, today, the free roaming cat sanctuary is licensed for up to 150 cats, some feral, but many are friendly, loving cats looking for a second chance. Minghelli’s advice to anyone thinking about getting into rescue is to remember that the needs and interests of the animals come first.
“Your heart has to belong to the animal and believe in what you are doing,” and stresses the importance of having a thick skin. Her strong faith helps her get through the ups and downs that come along with life as a rescuer. “I ask God to give me strength and courage to do what needs to be done,” she said.
She has recently taken up tennis and calls her friends who understand her, “Gift’s from God.” Ten years from now, Minghelli said she still sees herself involved in the day to day operations of Fat Kitty City, but in a less active role. She hopes to be remembered by her organizations, Agee Memorial Wildlife/Fat Kitty City Humane Society.

Summer Bradley, Chief Financial Officer/Co-owner of Pure Life Collective and Sacred Roots did not initially want to go into the business. When husband Kelly approached her with a passion for medicinal cannabis she agreed to learn more about the industry.
“My husband and I attended classes at Oaksterdam,” said Bradley of the cannabis education college in Oakland.
Armed with an education they opened Pure Life in Diamond Springs in 2011. Their second foray, Sacred Roots opened in Placerville in 2021.
“It was fate,” said Bradley about going into business. With her husband’s expertise of medicinal marijuana and her background in business, marketing and finance they were well suited to take on the challenge.
Bradley said that running a business does not leave much time for other passions but confesses that her two sons are her favorite. Besides an abiding love of music Bradley has an affinity for the community and being of service in any way she can.
“It’s always been important to me to help serve in my community.”
For those entering the industry today, Bradley advises seeking out solid partnerships and employees, “that bring something to the table,” adding that recruiting people who share a passion for the industry is key.
“We are very proud of what we have been able to accomplish,” said Bradley adding that she would like her legacy to be about the work that she has done destigmatizing cannabis and blazing a trail for contemporary and future cannabis businesses in the region.
Sellers pay thousands of dollars in commission fees and should expect more service from a Listing Agent, not less. A typical Listing Agent will hire a professional photographer, put up a For Sale sign in your yard, do some print media advertising, and syndicate your home to the major real estate websites. We do more than your typical Listing Agent. If you hire us, you work directly with us and not an assistant.

Patti Babish is a real estate agent with a particular niche. She specializes in ranch realty for those with more than just a house in mind.
“When we purchased our home in El Dorado County it was a very big move,” said Babish, who has been in the industry for 16 years and a realtor for 14. “Moving a ranch is not easy, and I didn’t feel our agent was truly aware of all the details and lacked experience in such a unique situation. My family encouraged me to be a ranch realtor.”
While her inspiration for getting into the business was her personal experience, her ability to be true to herself and work from the heart are her primary goals.
“I want all my clients (buyers and sellers) to feel like I handled every aspect with great detail and care,” she said. “I’m happy with what I’ve built for myself.”
As a person who feels she “listens” to her clients, Babish said, “I truly care and put my clients needs as my top priority. I’d love to be known as the true ranch expert.”
Highly involved in the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office in different ways, Babish said she spends a great deal of time helping them out “through Thrive 10-35 and helping the sheriff build up his kids’ support programs.”
Babish spends time with her horses and family when not helping clients. She and her husband of 30 years have one son.

Molly Carter opened Brass + Oak in 2019, her brick-and-mortar home goods and interior design shop on Main Street in Placerville. Serendipitously, it is across the street from Heyday Café, owned by her husband, Ben.
At 17, Carter left her home town of Placerville. In San Francisco she earned a degree in Interior Design, followed by work in the interior design field in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Carter says that after 10 years of exploring big cities she found there is still a lot to love about her home town. Upon her return, she offered full service interior design from construction to remodels to clients from Sacramento to Lake Tahoe.
Brass + Oak allows her to extend her clientele to people who don’t need full service. For those who would like assistance, she offers one- or two-hour design consultations in the shop, including furniture layout, furniture upholstery, rugs, lighting and home décor. A number of her favorite items can be purchased online.
Carter believes everyone should have access to beautiful, functional spaces.
“When you walk into a beautiful environment, it can change your mood completely,” she said. She named her store Brass + Oak to reflect the combination of her casual laidback life growing up in the country and her experiences in big city life. She calls the style California Modern Eclectic, an approach that encompasses a range of styles from mountain modern, California casual, midcentury modern, to classic luxe.

Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises

Susie Davies, Chief Executive Officer at Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises, has been in the industry, serving individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities for an impressive 50 years. She has been at MORE for 40 of those years. If asked about retirement she maintains that she has at least another 10 years, if not more, in her.
She started on this journey way back in the early ‘70s when she attended Colorado State University to obtain her BS in occupational therapy. After some internships she was hired in Santa Clara to develop a training program for students in middle school and high school with intellectual and developmental disabilities. What she didn’t realize then was that she was creating groundbreaking programs for this population. This was in 1973 when, according to Davies, the people they served were seen as incapable of learning and were often locked away in institutions contrasting the current model of acceptance and integration into the community
“We won Best in State and I got to travel all around the country training teachers,” Davies said.
She started at MORE in 1983 and recently celebrated her 40-year anniversary with the organization.
Davies said the clients who MORE serves inspire and inform her work. “These people are unique,” she said and, “truly are a privilege to support.”
She added that those with developmental or intellectual disabilities should not be seen as lesser individuals.
“Their insight into people is amazing,” she said. “They know who to trust and who genuinely cares about them.”
Family, friends and the community are Davies’ passions outside of work. She said these blend in with her work focus as well. Much like the credo of MORE, “Full inclusion for all,” Davies strives to make the community a better place for everyone.
When not at her desk, or somewhere in the MORE facility, Davies can be found at a civic event or charitable affair, “Supporting this community to be better for everyone.”
Susie Davies hopes to have demonstrated in her life and by example, that living a life of being in service to others is the best life lived.
Robin DeBruler opened Graphix Ink almost 17 years ago just as the recession was beginning. Fortunately, Robin’s skill set not only included a graphics design degree but also a background as an advertising and marketing director. Expert knowledge of all the products available along with a fierce determination equated to success. Customer satisfaction is always her number one priority. Delivering a fast turn around and a quality end result makes her the local “go-to”. It’s still a thrill every time she sees a billboard, sign, printed materials or

Laurie Vaqueiro has one goal in mind when she and her staff open Massage Envy’s doors and welcome clients — make a positive difference in the lives of others.
“My husband and I always believed in the benefits of massage,” Vaqueiro shared. “I heard about Massage Envy … (and) joined as a member,” she continued. “I was inspired on my third massage on March 16, 2006.”
Massage Envy in El Dorado Hills opened exactly one year later. Highly trained staff offer total body and facial services in a relaxing environment.
Vaqueiro said her passion for the industry has made the business successful and enjoyable. That passion extends outside Massage Envy’s walls as well, she added, explaining that everything related to physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness piques her interest.
And while Vaqueiro’s focus has long been to make other people’s lives better, she is looking to slow down in the next decade or so and eventually enjoy retirement with her husband. “Glorious days ahead,” she noted.
And because of her efforts, as well as those of the exceptional Massage Envy staff, Vaqueiro said she hopes her legacy will be seen as doing her part “in bringing Heaven to Earth.”

Keyt started VibesUP 17 years ago.
The store on Main Street carries her products that she and her helpers hand make locally. There’s everything from pain and allergy support to healthy products for pets and kids.

“My parents, luckily, said to hold off and try natural things,” she said. And, after a year of trying different natural remedies, they finally found one that worked.

There’s a familiar saying. “It’s The Real McCoy.” Successfully selling Real Estate for over 30+ years, Kari McCoy enjoys helping families reach their goals! Her clients’ needs always come first.
Kari believes there is no substitute for extensive, hard-earned experience. Kari is a black belt Realtor who knows how to handle every step of the home selling process hands-on. She understands the process and it leaves no room for excuses or delays. Her constant goal is long-term relationships that are beneficial to all parties.
With over three decades of experience, she has handled virtually every type of transaction. Kari has earned the Certified Residential Specialist designation, making her especially qualified to handle even the most difficult transactions. She is also a “Accredited Staging Professional” which gives an edge to any potential client.
“If you’re in it for the money, forget it,” Kari insisted. “But if you’re in it to change peoples lives and feel good about doing something for other people, it’s highly, highly rewarding.”
Between buying and selling homes, she enjoys golf, gardening and cooking. And 10 years from now, she envisions herself handing the real estate baton to her daughter who is already entrenched as a third generation Realtor. But for now, she relishes getting multiple offers for her clients. “I’m having fun,” admitted Kari. “Real Estate is just so exciting. Heather Daniels has been a firearms instructor at DefenseShot for more than 12 years. Together with her husband John Daniels, a retired peace officer, they provide top-rated classes and Carry Concealed Weapons (CCW) Permit instruction in Northern California.
“The goal is for all of our DefenseShot students to be well trained, happy and amazed that it was much easier to be trained and ready than they thought possible,” she said. “When people contact me to get started, they usually assume it will be difficult or stressful. I always reassure them that we will take care of them, and it will be zero stress and lots of fun.”
Daniels has a special passion for helping woman like herself.
“I like to help other nice, caring people by encouraging them to come get their CCW,” she said. “Our classes are usually 50 percent ladies and 50 percent gentlemen. Statistics indicate that it’s even more important for ladies to conceal carry than men because women are targeted more often. Today, many guns are so small and light that, when combined with our special holsters, they are very comfortable. Ladies really appreciate it when I help them pick the most comfortable spots to carry concealed. Since we are shaped different and tend to wear different clothes than men, we can carry in different places that work better for us.”
Outside of work, Daniels focuses on Jesus.
“The most important thing for people to understand is that what I want to leave as a legacy does not point to me,” she said. “It points to the good news. Not religion, but relationship. It’s so simple and easy. It’s the only thing that a person can do which lasts forever.”

Corinne White started at White Hot Tees after a very successful career with the California Department of Corrections and retired as an Executive Division Chief after 28 years. “This was quite an achievement, not only due to being a woman in the ‘90s breaking the glass ceiling in a male dominated environment but I was also profoundly deaf,” she said.
Six years after she started working at corrections she was implanted with a stateof-the-art hearing apparatus called a Cochlear implant and hears “pretty darned good with this incredible device. Most people don’t even know I’m deaf and I forget to tell them!”
She also started riding motorcycles in 2003 and soon became the first woman director of the Folsom Harley Owners Group. The motorcycle group had yearly fundraisers and she met her husband Brad when ordering screen printed T-shirts for an event. They fell in love, got married and she stared an entirely new adventure helping him run his well-established business, White Hot Tees. The hard working crew at White Hot Tees is like a family and makes coming in to work rewarding.
“My goal is to ensure each client feels like they were provided with extra-ordinary customer service,” she said. A caring individual she likes brining joy to others and really likes spending time with her husband and work partner Brad. She added, “I am also shamelessly obsessed with my son, his wife and my four grandchildren who are so much fun!”
Down the road she plans on relaxing on a sandy beach with a refreshing drink and soaking up the sun with Brad and thinking, “Even when they told me I was too small, too deaf or too much of a sissy-girl to do it ... I did it anyway!”

Danielle Dutton, a Broker Associate at Gateway Sotheby’s International Realty in El Dorado Hills, shared why what she does touches her so profoundly.
“Real estate transactions often represent significant milestones in people’s lives; being able to contribute to their happiness and success is incredibly gratfying.”
Since 2004 she has stayed in a business that some deem too stressful with the uncertainty in the real estate market, working hard without the guarantee of making a sale and other challenges.
Dutton explained, “The real estate industry is constantly evolving, offering endless opportunities for personal and professional growth. It requires staying current with market trends, learning new skills and adapting to changing client needs.”
Although the job can involve working long and odd hours when others are relaxing after their 8 to 5 workday, Dutton stated, “I love real estate because it allows me to run my own business and work toward my personal goals of success.”
To those considering a successful career in real estate, Dutton advised, “Remember, success in real estate takes time, dedication and perseverance. Stay passionate, focused, adaptable and never stop learning.”
Dutton is also passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of El Dorado County’s children and teens. Being actively involved in the El Dorado Hills Area Foundation helps her to connect with others who also want to make a lasting impact in the lives of the community’s youths.
When she isn’t helping others to make their dream come true, she makes her own come true in her stained-glass shop enjoying the captivating effect she can create.

Tumble Time celebrated 25 years of teaching gymnastics in Cameron Park to children small and large in 2022. Becky and Joe Trageser started the business in a building near the Cameron Park Airport. Today, Tumble Time operates from an 8,000 square-foot building near Cambridge Road. That building will be dedicated to young gymnasts 5 and under when the new 15,000 square-foot building under construction next door opens.
In June, girls and boys from Tumble Time competed in the National Gymnastics Association National Championships in New Orleans. Competing at different skill levels in a field of 2,000, nine Tumble Time athletes were top finishers, and 10 more scored in the top 10.
This year there are 850 children in over 70 different classes, and enrollment is expected to increase following the professional competitions at the Summer Olympics.
In 2021 Jennifer Peters and Haylee Brown became co-owners. They like the Trageser’s approach of gymnastics training as a foundation for whatever the gymnasts do in life, and the emphasis on keeping it fun.
Peters moved to Pleasant Valley at age 4, and now lives in El Dorado. Tumble Time has been part of her family for more than 20 years.
Brown grew up in Utah. Gymnastics has been her passion since she was 3. Tumble Time is the perfect fit for her.

Alicia Davidson of Placerville has turned her unconditional love and passion for animals into a business, providing the best care for any pet at her business Placerville Dog House.
She has run the dog kennel for about three years and gives pets the best attention and care when their owners are away.
Located in Placerville, the business describes itself as “a fully transparent, openplay, home-based” animal boarding and daycare facility, treating all pets with compassion and kindness.
“My advice (to those coming into the industry) would be similar to that of dealing with children. Never forget to have patience and maybe try to look at things the way they do,” Davidson said. “As adults, we tend to overanalyze and can easily miss the simple picture right in front of our snouts.”
With customer reviews lauding the care Davidson shows for their pets, she has proven your furry ones will be in good hands when utilizing her services, which include boarding, half- and full-play care time, dog walking and pet transportation services.
Davidson has always had a passion for animals which dates back to her childhood, but her real start came while working for a pet company that had clients in assisted living communities, creating special bonds with the pets and building a reputation with her clients. She turned passion into pay and opened up Placerville Dog House.
Davidson said she hopes to be known as someone devoted and successful in making animals happy.
“Currently, my goal is to establish a healthy number of regular long-term customers.

Evelyn McGrath has been in the senior care industry for more than 30 years, the last 15 of which have been spent serving Eskaton Village Placerville as the community’s Executive Director.
Though McGrath served in various positions within the healthcare industry, it was with the senior community that she found her footing. She leads with compassion and patience and strives to make a new friend in every new resident. Her expertise has proven valuable and has enabled her to advocate for quality care for aging adults.
She is the first to assist the elderly in day-to-day encounters, oftentimes being a voice for those who need it, and providing a listening ear for those who simply wish to reminisce.
With McGrath’s retirement, a new chapter begins. She will be moving to South Carolina after retirement to be closer to her two daughters and their families. She looks forward to being reunited with her cherished grandchildren, who lovingly refer to her as their “Nana,” and “Best Friend,” an honor she adores.
McGrath has led a life filled with gratitude and generosity. She gives to her community, her work, her family and her children.
Her oldest daughter Jacqueline recalled, “Growing up, my mom always made a point to ensure that my sister and I were fed, clothed, clean and happy before she could rest. On her most exhausting days, she put us before anything else. She has applied that same selflessness to everything else in her life and it has made her so successful in her career. I can’t think of anyone more devoted or loyal to those residents than her.”
Over the last 20 years I have helped 100’s of home buyers and sellers realize their dreams. Many of you know me for my love of handing out seed packets. Pleasant Valley Pet Clinic has been serving pet owners and their pets in El Dorado’s South County communities since 1991. It is a full-service veterinary hospital, providing veterinary medicine, diagnostics, dentistry and surgery.
When the previous owner needed to sell the practice, staff and clients in this largely agricultural area were concerned that the personal relationships they all enjoyed might be lost.
Amy Nichols, who is an RVT, or Registered Veterinary Technician, had been practice working as manager and lead RVT. In 2021, she agreed to purchase the practice.
Nichols grew up in Grizzly Flat and has happy memories of her childhood riding horses in the national forest. She started working as a front kennel assistant at age 16, and has been working with dogs and cats and their owners ever since.
Nichols said she is a people person as well as a pet person. She treats the whole pet family. She said the first task is to gain the trust of the owners. She added that owners today are more attached to their pets. They want to make sure their pets are comfortable and have long, healthy and happy lives.
She noted that COVID changed people’s relationships with their pets. Being more isolated, people became more attached to their pets. Now dogs especially are allowed at workplaces. Nichols said the practice has been growing, and she hopes to add after-hours and urgent care services.

Sol Nisbet has had an extensive career in the financial services industry, which has led her to her current vocation as a real estate/mortgage agent.
“I started working for Placer Sierra Bank in 2006,” said Nisbet, who was formerly in law enforcement. “In 2007, our small bank was bought out by Wells Fargo Bank.”
Becoming manager of the Cool branch, Nisbet held the position for four years before moving on to obtain her mortgage license in 2014 and her real estate license in 2021.
“The real estate license has allowed me to be self-employed,” she said. “Working for a mortgage broker out of Granite Bay gives me access to more than 60 lenders.”
Her access to those lenders allows her to provide the best rates and outstanding service to her clients. Her inspiration for choosing her current endeavor was her own “terrible experiences” making her want to focus on the “client experience.”
With her love for people and what she does, Nisbet thrives on hard work and helping others.
“At the end of the day, I have two goals: to become the best version of myself and improve someone’s life,” she said. “I love people, I love life, the ups and downs, I’ll take it all. My motto is ‘love harder’.”
She and her husband, Josh, have been married for nine years and have four kids between them. They live in Georgetown.

On March 2021, Placerville native Jennifer Teie opened The Green Room Social Club in the heart of Placerville’s historical downtown. She left a long successful career in real estate to pursue her dream of creating a social club centered around music. Teie is an aficionada of many kinds of music and a friend to musicians. She, along with her husband, purchased the building at 251 Main St. to produce and promote quality live music and entertainment in an intimate and inviting venue.
Experience in construction, project management, music production and event planning contributed to her imagining the renovation. She invited musicians she knows to create the stage they would want to perform on, including lighting, sound and video. Backstage, she designed a luxurious green room, the room where performers wait to go onstage and where they relax after a show.
After nearly 2-1/2 years as owner of The Green Room, Teie has much to be proud about.
The Green Room is open seven days a week with first-rate music and entertainment.
Membership in the social club is growing. She contributes to the vitality of the city’s historical district through her business taxes and fees, and through cooperative arrangements with other businesses. Through the Green Room Artists Fund Program established by Arts and Culture El Dorado, donations go directly to performing artists.
She provides quality entertainment dedicated to the local community and guests. She has plans for more to come.

Kimberly A. Strand has been an attorney for 16 years. She began working for her firm about nine and a half years ago, and loves what she does.
With an uncle as an attorney, Strand was inspired to pursue her own legal career. “I became a partner in the firm Ellerman Strand in the beginning of 2022,” she said. “I’m a member of the El Dorado County Women’s Fund, Cameron Park Rotary Club, a board member for Placerville Dry Diggins Dolphins Swim Team and Gold Nugget Soccer Club, and participate in my children’s school. I think it is very important to be present in the community we live and work in.”
As an attorney, Strand said she feels devoted to her clients. “Whether that means finishing an estate plan so that they know their loved ones are provided for once they are gone, or helping a child care for and protect an aging parent, my goal is easing a client’s burden. I can take actions that alleviate their stress and shoulder some of the weight for them.”
She encourages those coming into her industry to find a mentor for guidance through their early days of practice.
“Your career really becomes such a huge part of your life,” said Strand. “Make it something that you are passionate about.”
Strand continues to build on the firm that Karen Guthrie and Jana Ellerman created. She and her husband, Brian, have been married for 14 years and have three children.
Marilyn Goff has been the go to Realtor in the Sacramento, Placer and El Dorado counties for more than 37 years. She began her career as a part-time real estate assistant when her three children, two girls and a boy, were still young. Within her first year in real estate she was the No. 2 producer in her then company, Cook and Cook, and continues to be Lyon Real Estate’s top producing agent year after year. Her time away from real estate is spent volunteering at her church and spending quality time with her family. Something she advises to anyone looking at a career in real estate, ensure a balance between work and family. She also enjoys riding her bike and working out at Mini’s House of Pain in El Dorado Hills. Goff hopes her legacy will be, “that people know I cared deeply about them and that they could ensure their trust in me and my work.”
Ten years from now she said she sees herself to be happily retired and volunteering most of her time in her church, but still spending quality time with her family, which now includes 13 grandchildren, whom she calls, “the apples of my eye.”

If there is one thing that defines Jennifer Tommasini, owner of The Gift of Kids Daycare and Preschool, it’s that she absolutely loves kids.
That led her 24 years ago to start a childcare center when she couldn’t find affordable quality childcare for her own children while she was working as a manager of a large restaurant chain.
At the time she only had two children. She now has four and remains just as dedicated to providing the best care possible for children. “You have to be passionate about what you’re doing and passionate about kids,” she said.
Tommasini said her business began as an in-home daycare that grew to her facility in El Dorado Hills where she and her staff provide a clean, safe and nurturing environment for kids ages 6 weeks up through private kindergarten.
Gift of Kids has a partnership with Quality Counts El Dorado and teachers are provided stipends, scholarships and professional development with an amazing coach. Gift of Kids also offers an apprentice program on a state level that helps teachers gain skills and education in child development through a mentor program and free education in child development. Lastly, Gift of Kids partners with local colleges for college students to get their hands-on training through mentor teachers at GoK.
Tommasini said one thing she looks for in teachers when interviewing them is that they are passionate about children, saying that when parents drop off their children, “They can tell the kids are happy and excited about their day because they feel loved.”
Her staff of 30 now serves 200 families, providing children with a variety of educational, artistic and active programs.

Stephanie Haley feels so fortunate to be living in the beautiful foothills of Northern California.
“Thirty-two years ago I told my dad we (my husband and I) were moving from Michigan to California,” she said. “His response — ‘Get on a plane and don’t look back. California is beautiful!’ He was right!”
After initially renting in Sacramento, the couple ventured out and discovered a charming new community in the “Hills of El Dorado” by Forecast Homes.
“We were enchanted,” she said. “While living the lifestyle of our dreams, I started on a new career path as hostess for Forecast Homes, moving on to sales agent and opening new communities in Elk Grove, Sacramento, Rocklin, Wheatland and back to my favorite location — El Dorado Hills, this time to K Hovnanian’s 55+ active adult community, a gated community for those who enjoy tennis, swimming and many activities in the extensive clubhouse.”
She found that for some clients moving from their family homes could be very emotional.
“I learned that by caring, listening and understanding their emotional upheaval, I could keep the move smooth and seamless,” she said.
“As a RE/MAX Gold agent working in the most recognized brokerage in the world, I will bring that same caring, listening and understanding to meet your expectations,” she said. “I will work with you through any challenges to find acceptable solutions.”
If you or a family member needs a patient, compassionate, knowledgeable Realtor, call Stephanie Haley today at 916-990-5057 to start a creative plan.

Sheri L. Hoffman, an attorney at Hoffman & Hoffman has been perfecting her craft of creating wills and trusts for 28 years.
Sheri and her husband, Joe, opened their Folsom law office in January 1995 and serve clients in Folsom, El Dorado Hills, Cameron Park, Placerville, Rancho Cordova, Fair Oaks and Sacramento.
She wants to make sure her clients are properly prepared and able to take care of their loved ones after they pass away.
“Talking about death and dying is difficult, but making sure that your loved ones are protected is important,” Hoffman said. “Helping clients balance those two principles in a way that they feel confident and secure keeps me coming to work every day.”
She became enamored by estate planning while in law school at Golden Gate University School of Law which led her emphasis to be wills and trusts once her office opened less than a year after she passed the California Bar Exam. Sheri is a California State Bar Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust law, an accreditation not all attorneys have accomplished.
Hoffman loves the challenge that each client brings because they all have different goals, assets, worries and fears. She takes each client’s situation and puts together a personalized plan that will leave her clients feeling secure.
“I want my legacy to be the hard work and dedication that I gave to our law practice and to our clients,” Hoffman said. “I get such satisfaction working with clients and helping them plan for passing their legacies on to their loved ones.”

Margaret Holland has been a Realtor for 21 years. She became a broker in 2009 and founded Holland Realty. A true entrepreneurial spirit, she has begun a new venture as the owner of a retail building in Diamond Springs as of April 2022.
“I love this historical building built in 1887 which is the home of my real estate office, a clothing boutique and soon to be wine tasting room as well as a place for local arts and crafts,” she said.
Having spent much of her life as a caretaker and housekeeper and then into management for a large storage facility, a suggestion changed her career path.
“My father heard me on the phone at work one day and suggested that I would do well in real estate,” she said. “He planted a seed that I would never have dreamed of. Now I continue to care for people but it is in a different way, helping with one of life’s biggest challenges, buying or selling a home.”
She hopes to touch a few people along the way and help others realize success. For others thinking about a real estate career or buying a building she said go for it. “Jump in and do. Don’t wait until you think you know it all. You never will. Care about your clients first and business will come.”
When not working she loves to paint and entertain.
“I host paint parties now and then and have opened up my space for other business owners to share their businesses,” she said. “I also love to spend time in the pool and walking my Schnauzer. I attend many community events and love this community.”

“It is a privilege to serve as Marshall Medical Center’s President and CEO, but I am equally proud of the other roles I assumed when I arrived four years ago: neighbor, friend, partner and community advocate. The truth is, many who read this will know me not from visiting my office at the hospital, but from meeting me at an event around town,” said Siri Nelson.
“The spirit of community that is so important to me is also at the core of what makes Marshall unique. We are more than a hospital and clinics. Marshall stands as a world-class healthcare organization, managed locally and built by, and for, our neighbors more than 60 years ago. That is the extraordinary legacy that brought me here, and it is never lost on me.
“Our care teams come together to support the health and well-being of our patients and area residents, providing exceptional care to all. Our providers know your name, understand your needs and those of this community, and will always be here for you when you need them most.
“Their efforts are drawing national recognition from U.S. News and World Reports and the American Heart Association, among others. The Chartis Center for Rural Health recently ranked Marshall a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital, placing us within the top 4% of rural and community hospitals in the nation.
“The recognition we receive nationally reflects the extraordinary care and programs we deliver locally. These awards celebrate the collaboration necessary to care for our growing community through the years and they underscore the importance of the proactive work now being undertaken to ensure we continue to grow and enhance our services for the future.
“Marshall, its providers, and staff are uniquely positioned to understand the needs of our region and its residents. We are bringing pioneering preventative care and cutting-edge treatments to each of our core programs to best care for you. We are expanding our presence in El Dorado Hills to meet the growing needs of the area’s population and, in more remote areas like Georgetown, we are finding innovative ways to increase access by removing key barriers to care.
“Marshall is here to make a difference in the lives of those in our community. That’s what brought me here and it’s what excites me most about our future.”

Katherine Ryan has been a real estate agent for almost three years. Prior to that she was in the area of operations and management for construction companies and a payroll company.
She was not inclined to enter the real estate field but believes God played a part in her ultimate career choice.
“This was not a field I would have originally chosen for myself,” she said. “However, there is purpose behind this choice. I am a people person and being a real estate agent ultimately will allow me to fulfill my God given purpose by connecting me to the right people as well as to the properties.”
“My ultimate goal now is to connect with people that will allow me to reach the goal set before me and at the same time, allow others to realize a dream in their life,” she said. “I am very passionate about giving back to our heroes (law enforcement, firefighters, healthcare professionals, educational professionals, military and clergy).”
She pointed out to be successful you need to be patient and work the system. “Listen to those that have gone before you and don’t take anything personally,” she added.
A person who lives by faith being kind, compassionate, loving and caring for her family is important to her. She also finds time to enjoy reading, cooking, hunting, fishing, gardening and travel.
In the future she would like to see herself giving back as much as possible to the community and ultimately having numerous safe houses established. She would like to see her family continue to help end human trafficking and continue to open houses around the world.

For Christeen Reeg, the field of finance is more than numbers and balance sheets. It’s about the person. Reeg began her professional career in banking right out of high school. She continued with her education while employed, gaining knowledge, and experience and a degree in business. After 20 years in banking and a graduate degree in organizational behavior, she entered the field of financial advising and is currently with CAPTRUST, a registered investment advisory firm.
From the very beginning, her passion has been to help people realize their dreams and to plan for a future that is well-lived. Reeg has endeavored to help her clients understand how money is invested.
“As a woman, I have a huge advantage when I talk to other women,” she said. “For example, women who are going through transitions. It might be they are now single, divorced or widowed, but they are in a transition. I work to empower them not to be afraid of money or making financial decisions.”
When working with couples, Reeg directs her attention to both partners. “Can you imagine — several years ago, a wife could not even get credit without her husband’s signature?”
She discussed how the pandemic brings up the need for a possible financial “tune up.” She described the need to communicate with family and letting them know where to go and who to see should anything dire happen. She mentioned the need to reevaluate previous financial and estate decisions in the context of current circumstances.
Her approach is wholistic vs. transactional. She wants to hear what matters to her client. “The person is the key,” she said.
Dental Director Chalise Morgan, DDS, and Physician Assistant Marlene Rubio-Damian have each dedicated more than a decade of their lives caring for patients at the Shingle Springs Health and Wellness Center (SSHWC). Both professionals are inspired by their work and the profound connections they have formed with their patients and the community.
As young women, each of them had experiences that inspired them to their destiny.
Dr. Morgan said, “My Aunt, Linda Weckerly, and her professor, Phoenix Sinclair, were my inspirations. Dr. Weckerly was one of only a handful of female dentists in her dental school class at UCSF. While I was in high school, she invited me to a dental conference where she introduced me to her mentor and clinic professor, Dr. Sinclair.”
Marlene Rubio-Damian said, “In high school, I demonstrated proficiency in the sciences, which fueled my aspiration to pursue a career in the medical domain.”
Over time, Rubio-Damian also became acutely aware of shortcomings within the healthcare system, “Particularly in its lack of welcoming my family and me.” She explained, “These poor experiences became the driving force behind my dedication to ensuring an elevated experience for my prospective patients.”
Dr. Morgan and Rubio-Damian are both grateful for where life has led them.
Dr. Morgan said, “I truly enjoy my patients and our team. I’ve tried to inspire the next generation to consider pursuing the dental field.”
Rubio-Damian said, “It has been an honor to work here and serve this community.”

Sandra Prow has been in the industry for 40 years and a loan officer for 25 years.
“I started off as a loan processor when a friend recommended me for the job,” she said.
“I stayed in the industry because I love the idea of home ownership. As a loan officer, I love the flexibility of the hours in my day. I work when my clients need me — including evenings and weekends. In sales, I enjoy the networking aspects in and outside of the mortgage business.”
Her professional goals are to be known as someone who is honest, dependable, knowledgeable and the “go to” person for mortgage financing.
“I am there for those who need me,” she said.
“I strive to be involved with my work community,” she said. “I enjoy being an active Affiliate member of EDCAR.”
She pointed out this job can be very rewarding — but it is tough. You need to keep up on the industry changes, new technology and networking.
“It is great to help people obtain the American dream of home ownership,” she said. Her family is her greatest passion and always comes first, including her husband of 40 years, her 86-year-old Mom, her two girls and their families including four grandsons.
She also attends and volunteers at Federated Church.
A future of being happily retired is a wish and being known for as the person who was the “relationship keeper” in their lives.
“I am a care provider, a meal train organizer and my door/house is always open and my dinner table has room for everyone,” she said.

Rachel Librach started working in her mom’s office during her summers in high school.
“I was trained by her in all the behind-thescenes operations of a real estate office,” she said. “That’s where my foundation for real estate began, and it was slowly built year after year.”
She has been practicing real estate for about eight years and is co-owner with her mom Christine Librach of El Dorado Hills Realty and Housing Centric Property Management for the past two years.
Her mother is her inspiration. They work extremely well together and she admires how her mom quickly scaled to the top of her brokerage, broke out and started her own real estate brokerage and property management company, and all the while maintaining her awesome and supporting mom-status.
“My goal is to continue to grow, because by growing our businesses we get the chance to help more people successfully sell their homes and move on to bigger and better things,” she said.
To that end she advises to give 110% effort toward whatever transaction you’re working on.
“I want to be known for my reliable quality of service. I want clients to feel confident whenever I represent them,” she said.
She hopes “to lead a life my parents would be proud of, accomplish my goals — exceeding my own perceived limits. Most importantly, I want to raise a family of strong, independent, ambitious and honest children who have the fight and drive to chase after their own dreams, like how my mom raised me.”

Wendi-Mae Davis has been in the business 34 years. She earned her brokers license in 2004 and has been serving local communities in El Dorado County for 22 years.
The passing of her father when she was 15 and the loss of her family home shortly thereafter changed her life focus.
“My mother did not understand how to ‘fix’ what was happening, or if she even could fix it,” she said. “I vowed to myself then and there, that I would never be in that situation. That I would never lose my home. That I would be sure to learn anything and everything I could about property ownership —most importantly — how to hold onto my primary investment.”
Back then a Realtor played an important role in the process and helped to make sense of everything.
“I appreciated the way she partnered with my mother from beginning to end and beyond,” she said. “Even at my young age I understood the importance of her role. I’ll never forget Miss Dolly Hingst.”
“I realized that I wanted to be just like her,” she said. “To serve my community the way my mother was served.”
She enjoys working with people. “To buy or sell a home is often the most important life event one experiences other than marriage and having children,” she said. “I take my part in the process seriously.”
A professional problem solver, she said it is important to “listen twice as much as you speak.”
She volunteers making the communities she serves better and is thankful for her loyal clients.
