This is the main color pallete of Decision these colors are to be incorporated into the Table of Contents, Editor’s Letter and Q&A pages whenever possible and if it’s appropritate to the design. These, however, are not the only colors used in the magazine. If a designer feels like primary colors are more appropriate in the design they may incorporate them as long as it doesn’t deviate too much from our look.
Typography: Main font families used are as follows: Myriad Variable Concept Bodoni MT Constantina Minion Pro
Headlines Headlines will be set in Constantina Bold or Bodoni MT Italic depending on the spread. These are the main and preferred fonts for headlines, however depending on the design of the spread they may be subject to change. Headlines for the Editor’s Letter and the Q&A/Preguntas pages are to be set in Myriad Variable Concept Black Semi-extended Italic regardless of design.
Subheads These are to be set in Myriad Variable Concept Light Semiextended. The san serif font is prefered to contast the serif font that is used in the body copy. Must be san serif.
Body Copy The body copy must be set in a serif font to make it more legible to our readers. Preferred font is InDesign’s default Minion Pro set at point 11. For shorter articles and listicles a san serif font may be used. Body Copy for the Editor’s Letter and the Q&A/Preguntas pages are to be set in Myriad Variable Concept light Semi-extended regardless of design.
Pull Quotes To contrast the serif font of the body copy and draw attention of readers, pull quotes are to be set in Myriad Variable Concept Semi-extended italic.
Page Numbers Page numbers are to be set in Myriad Variable Concept Light Semi-Condensed at point 9. The are to be placed along the bottom corners of the page and must include the month of publication
