SUNDAY ROAST The Sunday Roast is a traditionalBritish and Irish main dish that is traditionally served on Sundays, but it can be eaten any day of the week. It consists of roastedmeat, roast potato or mashed potato, with accompaniments like: Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, vegetables and gravy. Typical meatsusedin a Sunday roast are, chicken, lamb or pork,duck, goose, gammon, turkey‌ Origins Yorkshire families let a cut of meat in the oven before going to church on a Sunday morning, which was ready to ate by the time they arrived home at lunchtime. Nowadays people can eat Sunday roast in all England restaurants. Sometimes, in family celebrations, the main dish is Sunday roast.
