The origins of Pasta The origins of Pasta started in China, about 1270 years ago. Marco Polo imported from China. Pasta is very popular in Italy. The ingredients of pasta are flour, eggs, salt and water. There are a lot of recipes of pasta, usually you boil pasta and after you add a sauce, for example tomato, oil, herbs , meat, bacon‌ The typical pasta is spaghetti and macaroni. My favourite dish of pasta is tortellini with oil and cheese.
