OPT Bar & Restaurant

OPT is now Echuca’s premier late night venue. For the past 13 months, OPT has been run by Jacob Coad, a 22-year-old who grew up in the Echuca-Moama region. His focus has been on making OPT an inclusive venue for the community. OPT has hosted a number of major events, including the highly successful fundraiser for Xavier Edwards in July. OPT prides itself on being the most flexible function venue around, specialising in hens, bucks, birthdays and netball/ football trips. It can cater to functions of 12 to 60 people on the scenic Balcony Bar, the perfect place to enjoy a gorgeous sunset. OPT Bar & Restaurant is located at 272–276 Hare Street, Echuca.

Riverbank Moama

Owned and operated by Nikki and Paul Cohen, who have more than three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, Riverbank Moama is located in the old homestead of the Moama Waters Holiday Park. Riverbank Moama offers indoor and outdoor dining with picturesque views of the Murray River and redgums. Their mission has been to provide high-quality food for people who wish to combine fun and an enjoyable ambience with skilful cooking into an extraordinary dining experience. From classic recipes to new-age kitchen adventures, each dish reflects Riverbank Moama’s passion. Riverbank Moama is open from Wednesday to Sunday for dinner, lunch on Saturday and Sunday, and breakfast on Sundays. In addition to the Excellence in Hospitality nomination, Riverbank Moama is a finalist in the Best New Business award. Riverbank Moama is located at 96 Old Barmah Road, Moama.

Moama Bakery

Moama Bakery has been owned and operated by David Wegener since 2000. Back then there was one shop and eight staff. Fast forward to today, two decades on, the business operates three stores in Echuca Moama and employs more than 100 staff. The growth is a testament to a simple recipe — customer service is at the heart of everything Moama Bakery does. As David puts it, you can buy a pie or a cake anywhere, but it is their service that is the point of difference that brings you back again and again. Moama Bakery has a wide range of pies and pastries (their sausage rolls are exceptional) as well as an array of different breads and rolls. Those with a sweet tooth are more than sated with cupcakes, donuts and vanilla slices headlining a list of tasty treats. Morrisons Riverview Winery & Restaurant

Established in 2000, Morrisons Riverview Winery & Restaurant is a leading wedding venue in Echuca Moama. Located on the banks of the Murray River and overlooking 15 acres of vineyards, it is the perfect place for locals and travellers. It is an idyllic location for a wedding or special event. Offering award-winning dining options, Morrisons works closely with the tourism industry, providing packaged products that attract many domestic and international visitors. Ciurleo’s Ice Cream & Waffle House

Ciurleo’s is a retro-inspired ice cream and waffle house which has been operating in Lockington since 2017. Stocking 24 premium ice cream flavours to choose from and fall in love with. Owner John Ciurleo makes his waffles on site, saying it took six months to perfect the recipe, but they are now “a hero” of the business. Ciurleo’s also stock savoury dishes, baked potatoes, scrumptious hot dogs and their highly-popular brisket burgers. The family-run business also caters for a number of special events, such as a Father’s Day breakfast and Fish N Chips on Good Friday. Ciurleo’s pride themselves on their quality products and quality customer service. In addition to the Excellence In Hospitality nomination, Ciurleo’s is a finalist in the Excellence In Tourism Award.
