DENILIQUIN ROVERS A-GRADE

Gabrielle Barlow (C/WA/WD)

- As the captain, Gabby leads by example, inspiring her teammates with her dedication and performance. Her leadership and tactical awareness make her an invaluable asset to the team. Gabby is known for her exceptional physical strength, making her a formidable presence on the court.

Carissa Bulmer (GA/WA)Thommo's amazing speed allows her to swiftly navigate the court, outpacing opponents and creating opportunities. Her capability to quickly turn and release the ball under pressure is outstanding, facilitating smooth and effective attacking plays. Thommo's relentless determination is second to none.

Natalie Sampson (GK/GD/WD) - Nat's ability to effectively read the play makes her a strategic asset on the court. She excels at turning over the ball with timely intercepts, disrupting the opposing team's flow. Despite her friendly demeanor, Nat's competitive edge and sharp instincts make her a formidable opponent.

Ella Park (GK/GD/WD) - Ella's amazing speed allows her to cover the court effectively and keep up with fast-paced plays. Her long reach and strong defensive techniques make it challenging for opponents to get past her. Despite being new to the Rovers, Ella has seamlessly integrated into the blue and white

squad, quickly becoming a crucial component of the Rovers team.

Chloe Way (WD/GD/GK) - Chloe utilizes her agile ability to jump and attack the ball, effectively gaining possession. Chloe's invaluable communication skills ensure that her team is always well-coordinated and focused. She is a vital asset to the Deniliquin Rovers and loves a challenge.

Chloe Brown (GA/WA) - Chloe is an accurate shooter, consistently making crucial goals for her team. Her razor-quick speed allows her to swiftly move around the court and evade defenders. Chloe's ballerina-style turns help her create space and effectively drive to the ball.

Hazel Glowrey (C/WA/WD)

- Despite her young age, Hazel's netball skills are impressive and far beyond her years. Her grit and determination are her biggest assets, driving her to excel on the court. Hazel loves nothing more than winning the ball for her team.

Abbey Wills (GS) - Abbey uses her strength to her advantage, making her a formidable presence on the court. Her determination allows her to consistently find space under the ring and convert scoring opportunities with ease. Abbey's ability to mix up her attacking game keeps defenders guessing and enhances her effectiveness.

DENILIQUIN ROVERS B-GRADE

Georgia Van Lieshout (GS/GA) (captain) - As captain, Georgia steadies the ship, providing direction and stability to her team. She uses her speed and power to her full advantage, making impactful plays. Georgia drives hard on the court and is known for her accuracy in the ring.

Isabelle Mcilwain (GS/GA)Bell is beautiful to watch on the court, showcasing her ability to move or hold to gain possession. Her skills are at a high level, making her a technically proficient and reliable player. Bell works seamlessly with her teammates, enhancing the overall cohesion and effectiveness of the team.

Jackie Thorpe (GD/GK/GS/ GA) - Jackie has the ability to play effectively at either end of the court, adding flexibility to the team’s strategy. She provides a unique X factor to the game, making a significant impact with her ability to read the play. Jackie’s versatility, skills and insightful play make her a valuable asset to the squad.

Brittany Kirby (C/WD) - Brit’s understanding of the game is exceptional, giving her a strategic edge on the court. She combines clever decision-making with impressive speed and strength. Brit effectively directs play, attacks with power, and is skilled at winning back the ball when necessary.

Montana Muldoon Leetham (WA/C) - Montana has a strong presence on the court, commanding attention and influence in play. She drives hard to the ball and towards the circle edge, demonstrating determination and intensity. Montana feeds her teammates with precision, enhancing the Rovers offensive effectiveness.

Montana Jones (C/WA/WD)Monty’s cheerful and positive attitude is a hallmark of her personality on and off the court. Despite her positive demeanor, Monty is highly determined and gritty when it comes to winning the ball. She compliments her teammates with her high work rate and excellent court awareness.

Georgia McCulloch (GK/GD)Georgia boasts an impressive vertical leap, allowing her to contest and win the ball effectively. She has the ability to effectively shut

down her opponents and uses her speed to intercept and cut off balls down the court.

Sophie Dudley (WD/GD/C)

- As a first-year player, Sophie wears the blue and white with great pride, embodying the spirit of the Rovers. She is a determined defender who commits fully to every position she plays. Sophie consistently gives 100 per cent, demonstrating her dedication and hard work on and off the court.

Olivia Park (WA/C/GA)Olivia is a pocket rocket, utilizing her dynamic speed and sharp change of direction to drive effectively to the ball. She excels at finding her teammates with precision passes, enhancing the team’s offensive coordination. Olivia’s energetic play make her a crucial and impactful player for the Rovers attack.

Brittany Edwards (GS) (captain) - Britt is a natural leader, both on and off the court. Her exceptional ability to read and orchestrate plays, combined with her precision shooting, makes her an invaluable asset in the attacking end. Her leadership and strategic insight elevate the entire team, guiding them to consistent success.

Jemma Smith (GK) (vice captain) - Jemma Smith leads by example with her relentless work ethic and adaptability. Her tenacious defensive style makes scoring a challenge for any opponent, while her commitment to every role on the court ensures she is a cornerstone of the team’s defensive strategy.

Nicole Felmingham (GA) - Nicole’s explosive speed and exceptional fitness create countless opportunities for the attack. Her dynamic drive and impressive reach make her a prime target in the circle, and her high conversion rate ensures she consistently delivers results.

Makhaya Mitsch (C/WA) - In her debut season with the Rovers, Mak has made an immediate impact with her blend of speed and precision. Her dual strengths in both defense and attack are evident through her ability to secure midcourt turnovers and deliver accurate feeds into the circle.

Matilda Glowrey (C/WD) - Till stands out as a swift and determined midcourter. Her well-executed defensive maneuvers, including sharp turns and blocks, effectively neutralize opponents and generate crucial turnovers for her team.

Shané Bothma (WD) - Shané transitions from juniors with versatility and energy. She excels in any position, consistently putting in 110 per cent effort. Her adaptability and commitment shine through in every game, making her a valuable team player.

Erika Martin (GD) - Aging up from juniors, Erika Martin has made a significant impact in the defensive end. Her dominant presence and relentless pursuit of turnovers, combined with strong drives through the midcourt, solidify her role as a key defensive force.

Lorna Davison (GK/GS)Joining the Rovers from the UK, Lorna brings a wealth of skills to

the team. Her strength, accuracy, and exceptional rebounding make her a formidable presence in the circle, enhancing both defensive and attacking plays.

Carissa Holmberg (allrounder) - As the coach of the C squad premiers in 2023, Carissa Holmberg offers invaluable guidance and support. On the court, her adept ball skills and tactical play shine, making her a versatile and reliable asset in any position.

Millie Joice (allrounder)Millie is a dynamic and versatile player, known for her speed, strength, and positive attitude. Her ability to seamlessly connect with teammates and give her all in every game makes her an essential part of the team.

Chrissy Hurst (team manager) - As the 2023 A-grade league best and fairest, Chrissy Hurst brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team. Her leadership and expertise significantly contribute to the team’s success, both on and off the court.

Sarah Purtill (assistant coach)

- Sarah is an invaluable asset with her extensive knowledge and experience. Her calming presence creates a supportive environment where players can thrive, and her strategic insights greatly benefit the team.

Jemmah Conallin (coach) (WA) - Jem is a dynamic and influential coach. Her motivational leadership off the court and her strong feeds and drives on the court make her a key figure. Her ability to switch seamlessly between attacking and defensive roles provides a strategic advantage for the team.

Mollie Leetham (captain) - A very dependable player, Mollie is a strong leader and consistently offers guidance and support to everyone on the team. Her ability to control the play of the game in the midcourt has been pivotal to our team's success. Mollie has been our key Wing Attack player this year with her passes into the ring being firm and consistent, coming from a shooting background Mollie is able to read where the shooters are intending to play before they’ve even set themselves up.

Jemma Kerr (vice captain) - An experienced, smart and strong midcourt player. Jemma’s ability to read the plays of her opponent and guide our players before a play has even been made has been the key to our midcourt players. Jemma has the ability to run out a whole game in Centre and control the entire game but can also play either Wing position and make just as big an impact.

Lauren Butcher - A dependable and consistent sharpshooter. Lauren’s accuracy is undeniable. Her ability to shoot from anywhere in the ring makes it very hard for her defenders. Lauren is able to create much needed space within the ring as well as having a strong hold on her players.

Millie Joice - Returning player to the club

Millie very quickly found her place in the ring. Her ability to move around her defenders and

her accuracy and consistency makes Millie a bombshell in the ring. Millie is a smart and efficient shooter, consistently making space in our attacking end.

Abby Whitehorn - Our little pocket rocket. Abby’s ability to move through the court and create much needed space has been a vital part of the team plays. She is effectively able to move between all midcourt positions easily. Abby’s presence is always felt when she’s on the court and isn’t to be underestimated.

Emma East - Emma is a strong and consistent defender. Her ability to hold her player and her reach for intercepts has made her a defender to watch. Her ability to effortlessly swap from Wing Defence to Goal Defender or Keeper makes her a very versatile defender.

Olivia Wells - Newcomer to the club Liv effortlessly found her place in the midcourt. Liv’s speed and consistent ability to stick to her player has made her a very strong player in our team. Liv has improved every week and has taken everything asked of her in her stride and has become an exceptional player.

Jas Dean - Another newcomer to the club, Jas is a sassy and speedy player. Constantly annoying her opponents by always being with them and getting countless intercepts. Jas will put her body on the line and is always there to back up her teammates. She has shown her

ability to be best team player and even with a broken ankle taking her out for the second half of the season she was the voice on the sideline every week cheering the team on.

Prue Meharry - Prue is an experienced and strong defender, constantly in her opponent's space making it hard for them. Her ability to hunt down loose balls and rebounds makes her a defender shooters hate to come up against. She consistently give 110 per cent every game and has one of the best pick me up chats with the team to make sure everyone keeps their head up.

Kelly Thorpe - Kelly is a very reliable, calm and focused defender. Holding key position in Goal Keeper Kelly is the calm our defending ring needs. She is always creating countless turnovers, effectively shutting down the shooters and keeping them out of the ring and always puts plenty of pressure on her opposition.

Carissa Holmberg - Carissa has the versatility to play any position. Her accuracy in the goal ring and ability to create space and hold her player has made her a perfect third shooter for the team, all while being able to jump into defence at the other end of the court and still hold just as much consistent play. Carissa has also been known to fill in the Centre position and lead a strong midcourt.

DENILIQUIN ROVERS RESERVES

Adam Bodey (1) - An experienced and powerful ruckman who may feature in the finals should he get his body right. Will combine well with Kirbs and provide the midfielders with silver service.

James Kirby (4) - An experienced tall who will shoulder the ruck duties throughout the finals. Is a strong kick of the football, and known to kick goals when resting forward.

Hayden Gardiner (9) - A versatile player that gives the side plenty of drive across half forward. With a damaging left foot, clean hands, and pace to burn, Hayden will prove extremely valuable to the forward line unit.

Daniel Mison (captain) (13)Mouse is the captain of the side and the ultimate leader, clubman, and back man. Always gives it his all and has been known to play just as hard off the field.

Matt Horne (co-coach) (14)Horne takes care of the coaching role alongside Bam and has been known to hit the scoreboard. His son Jake thinks he’s ready for a nursing home however putting this aside for now, he will be looking to guide his team well throughout the finals campaign.

Jaidyn Druitt (15) - A versatile player who contributes to the side week in week out and remains extremely calm with football in hand. Jaidyn will be playing his best football throughout the final’s series.

Ben McCalman (Co-Coach (16) - Bam is a hard at it midfielder who smiles as he is about to hit a pack. He has the ability to break open a game and will be a vital cog in the Rovers engine room this finals campaign.

Connor Didcock (21) - A first year player that continues to impress with his ability to read the play, his composure with the football, and continual run off halfback. Will be an X factor for the Rovers this finals series.

Alex Rourke (23) - Rourkey has been a great contributor to the side for well over a decade, whether he be playing down back or through the midfield. His leadership and voice on the field has been as important as his ability to win the contested ball.

John Glowrey (club president) (25) - Plough is the Benjamin Button of the Deniliquin Rovers Football Club, plays with his heart on his sleeve and continues to lead from the front with his attack on the football. Has also been known to hit the scoreboard in a leap year.

Ben Littmann (27) - A seasoned campaigner who knows how to win

Mcilwain, Max Caruso, Adam Bodey, Peter Howley and Charlie Hussey.

in finals, having captained Blighty’s most recent reserves premiership. A workhorse player with clean hands, a damaging left foot, and arguably the best tattoos at the club.

Scott Howard (28) - A Rovers veteran with the ability to play in almost any position. Does drag the average age of the playing group up however, can still take a hanger when all things line up correctly. Will be a vital part of the forward structure and sure to be leading from the front.

Taj Payne (32) - Whilst injuries have impacted his season, Taj will be relishing the warmer weather and will offer plenty of dash to the side, excellent energy coupled with some silky skills.

Harry Mcilwain (33) - Arguably one of the most exciting youngsters at the club and due to return from injury this week. Always gets to the right spots and can finish in front of goal, a key player to the side’s success.

Nicholas Stubbings (35) - Stubbo has played off halfback all year and continues to run in straight lines. A fearless defender who gets the job done week in week out and will play a huge role in this finals campaign.

Dylan Mills (36) - Millsy is a much-loved member of the side and whilst not recognised as the greatest trainer, leaves everything out on the field each weekend. Will be providing opposition forwards with a headache down back.

Jack Pekin (38) - Operating on a two games on two games off roster, Peko can play a key position forward

or back role, and is equally as good in the midfield. With his versatility and size, he will prove challenging for opposition sides to match up on.

Aden Bermingham (39) - A hard running midfielder that continues to perfect his game and gives it his all every time he pulls on the Rovers guernsey. Will be pivotal to the team’s success throughout the finals.

Shannon Sampson (40) - The silver fox, a reliable and experienced footballer, and Rovers key link to local council. Arguably number one when it comes to the bench press, and having the ability to play in almost any position on the ground.

Mitch Jefferies (42) - The Ferrari has made a huge impact in his second season at Memorial Park. A selfless and reliable back man who possesses a great turn of foot and is rarely beaten in the contest.

Brodie Elphick (43) - A skilful first year player that has continued to improve throughout the season. Has an extensive cheer squad each weekend and will be burning up the wings with his run and carry game.

Darby Watson (44) - Having his first year at Rovers, Darby has continued to run hard up and down the ground creating options and setting up play. This run and commitment to his teammates will help see the side go deep into the final series.

Matthew Wade (47) - A traditional hit up forward that loves country footy and possesses the best beard at the club. Wadey has a big presence on the ground with both his attack on

the football and his voice around the contest.

Cooper King (48) - Coming off the back of a premiership in the thirds, Coop has been a good target up forward this season. With an ability to lead up hard at the footy and a clean set of hands, he’s sure to be troubling the goal umpires in the coming weeks.

Max Caruso (49) - A nuggety midfielder that makes opposition players shutter with his attack on the footy. Can go forward and kick a goal, and leaves nothing left in the tank each time he plays.

Zack Thompson (52) - Has been a revelation since joining the Rovers last season. With an ability to play in any position, he possesses great ball awareness and a win at all cost attitude. Thomo leads from the front and will play a huge role in the finals.

Tristan Fitzsimmons (53) - Has slotted into the full forward position and provides the side with a focal point in front of goal. With a great set of hands and a fluent kick at goal, he will prove hard to stop this finals series.

Matthew Johnson (54) - A crafty back man who can push into the midfield and have an impact. Reads the play exceptionally well and if he can get his body right, he will play a pivotal role down back.

Hayden Doncon (55) - Playing his second final series in the lunchtime game and continues to haunt forwards with his defensive pressure. Will be working hard to ensure our

backline unit holds up well.

William Dudley (57) - A reliable halfback that continues to improve, is clean by foot, and plays his role each week. He will be providing the side with plenty of dash from the back half of the ground.

Simon Stubbings (team manager) - Stubbo is arguably one of the most well-prepared volunteers at the club and turns up with a huge smile on his face every week. His big personality, and dedication to the team including the coach’s is second to none. Stubbo with his input from the interchange will be pivotal to the side’s success this finals series.

Peter Bermingham (interchange manager) - Birmo is a pivotal member of the team controlling the on field moves and rotations from the interchange each Saturday. His unwavering commitment to the side over several years is testament to both his character and his passion for the Deniliquin Rovers Football & Netball Club.

Charlie Hussey (trainer) - With several players born in the late 70’s to mid-80’s, its fair to say that Charlie has his work cut out. With this said, his dedication to the side goes unquestioned, and he will have the players fighting fit when they run out on Saturday. Great job Charlie.

Peter Howley (goal umpire)Arguable one of the greatest back men to play the game, Pete now takes care of the goal umpiring duties each weekend. A true-blue Rover and reliable club member and volunteer.

Hazel Glowrey (C/GA) - The fierce captain of the team, Hazel leads with unmatched versatility, effortlessly shifting from attack to defence like a well-oiled machine. She powers down the court with the unstoppable force of a freight train, making her presence known to everyone in the vicinity. Haze’s uncanny ability to turn the ball over often has opposing players double checking to see if she’s secretly got an extra pair of hands.

Paige Brown (GS/GA) - A dominant force in the goal circle, Paige shoots with the precision and confidence of a seasoned sharpshooter. Her movement to create space is unmatched, leaving defenders in her dust. A natural leader on the court, Paige orchestrates the play with authority thanks to her sharp eyes and steady hands. And if looks could kill, the opposition would be dropping like flies.

Braelie Wesierski (GA/GS/C/WA) - Brae is a player who is as cool as a cucumber and as consistent as they come. Her steadiness and calm demeanour has the ability to ground the entire team. Whether she’s shooting goals or running the midcourt, Brae adapts to any role with ease, guided by her wise netball brain. When the pressures on, you can always count on Brae to keep her head and lead the team

with her positivity. Lucy Herberte (WA) - A cherished first season player at Roverland, Luce has made her presence known on the court with her moves like Speedy Gonzales. Her lightening fast reaction times for centre passes, powerful drives to hit circle edge and strong feeds into the shooters highlight her rapid progress and growing dominance on the court. With a smile that lights up the room, Luce continually proves she’s a force to be reckoned with.

Chloe Macknight (WD/WA) - A joyous presence on the team, Chloe radiates positivity wherever she goes. Her quick hands are perfect for snatching deflections, and her ability to seamlessly switch from attack to defence makes her a tough opponent to face. Chlo’s knack for shutting down her rivals is matched by the infectious energy she brings to any game. Chloe is a girl you’d always want on your team, a motivational leader and the biggest cheerleader- she’s so upbeat even the scoreboard seems to cheer her on.

Aria Taylor (WD) - Aria is a powerhouse who brings some fire to the game. She’s known for her ability to shut down opponents with her relentlessness and perseverance and adapts into her roles beautifully. Over the season her

skillset has flourished, making her an indispensable asset in defence. If she’s marking you, she’s like a shadow you just can’t shake. Aria is the ultimate team player, always ready to back up her team mates and do whatever it takes to support the team’s success.

Amy Holloway (GD/GK) - An under 15’s player who quickly cemented her role within our teams defence. A fearless risk taker and high flyer, Amy makes intercepts and rebounds look effortless as she soars through the air. Consistently showcasing her valuable defensive skills and netball smarts, we are very lucky to have Amy apart of our team this season. And if there were a highlight reel. Amy would be all over it.

Reagan Behsman (GK/GD) - Grounded and always reliable in defence, Reags uses her quick feet and knack for confusing opponents space to her advantage. With a formidable defensive mindset, she excels in rebounding and applying intense hands over ball pressure. Reagan’s ability to lead on the court is evident in her unwavering focus and the way she commands the defence with both confidence and poise. Reags is so adept at keeping attackers on their toes, it’s like she’s got a built in radar that makes sure they never get comfortable.

DENILIQUIN ROVERS THIRDS

Jesse Jervis (1) – Jerv is a running machine with pace to burn who loves kicking big goals on the run. He uses his voice to demand the footy and has hit top form at the right time of the year. Is set for a super finals campaign.

Spencer Cowley (2) –

Safest hands in the Picola League, Spenc always gives a target up forward, but can also go into the ruck or down back when needed. He’s leading the team’s goal kicking and is due for a big bag.

Cayden Hawley (3) – Big Dos is a strong centre halfback that just does his job, and normally against bigger opponents. Loves doing sprints at training, which has paid off and it shows on game day with his speed and agility around the ground.

Baxter Cowley (4) – Bax is a silky left footer who always seems to have time to use the footy, could be a super star if he could only kick a bit straighter to his brother. Has become a regular in the seniors and is set for a big finals campaign.

Rylan Wade (5) – Wadey broke his leg in the pre-season and is out for the year, but still gets around the club to support the boys.

Andrew Croker (6) –Crokes is the team’s number one defender who always

gets the opposition’s best forward. Has shut down some of the league’s best this year. Another to play seniors and will be very important in the finals.

Alex Harvey (7) – vice-captain - The bull of the midfield, Blocka always leads by example. Has taken his footy to another level this year and has played senior footy as well, he will set the tone for the team during the finals.

Brody Wills (8) – Crafty forward who is always in the right spot. He loves to take hangers and kick bananas, also brings a bit of class in the midfield as well. ‘Shake’ forms one half of the dynamic duo.

Dexter Hardman (9) –Very reliable defender who reads the play well. He loves to intercept the ball and run it out of defence, rotates through the midfield and plays like “Pendles”. ‘Bake’ forms the second half of the dynamic duo.

Max Watson (10) – Big and strong utility who unfortunately has missed half the season due to family holidays. Wato has shown plenty of improvement this year with his marking and goal kicking. Will have to play a number of roles during the finals.

handful of games this year due to him living away for school, but when he is in the team he brings that extra grunt and aggression towards the contests and doesn’t take a backward step.

Ben Hayes (12) – Quiet defender who never gets beaten one on one, loves the contested stuff and winning the hard ball for his teammates. Haysie can always be relied upon to shut his opponent out of the game.

Noah Dunn (13) – Clever forward in his first year of thirds, great skills and knows where the goals are. Dunny is always looking to improve each week and works hard on the training track.

Jack Van Lieshout – (captain) (14) - The team’s skipper Tall Timbrr always leads the team on and off the field. A dominant ruckman who always gives his onballers first use, can also slip forward where he never gets out-marked.

Henry Learmonth (15) –Super consistent player in his first year of thirds, who can play anywhere on the field. If not tagged he is very dangerous if allowed to run and bounce the footy. A video of Hen Dawg’s first goal is still getting likes on social media.

Jack Hussey (16) – Huzz has only been training for

the last six weeks but has fitted straight back into the team. Yet to kick a drop punt in a game but has been very valuable in the ruck and as a tall forward with his high marking.

Landon Flisher (18) – Big improver of the team since the start of the year and plays any position his team needs him. Flish only trains Thursdays nights due to family functions every Tuesday. Always gives 100 per cent at every contest, you can never wipe the smile off his face.

Ethan Connolly (19) –One of the Rovers most consistent players this year who just competes all game. Etho loves to put the ball under his wing and run, is very dangerous when breaking the lines and kicking long into the forward line.

Isaac Behsman (21) –Determined utility with a beautiful long left foot kick. Issy loves the challenge when rotating through the midfield and mixing it with the big boys. He always takes the game on, has missed a few games but is ready for a big finals.

Nick Fanning (23) - Always reliable footballer in his first year of thirds, has found a home in the backline as a key defender and usually plays on a taller opponent. Strong

under pressure, and never gives up until he wins the footy.

Fletcher Campion (24) – Fletch is the team’s future number 1 ruckman, but in his first year of thirds has filled a number of different positions. Can play both ends of the ground, is a strong overhead mark and has worked really hard on his kicking.

Andrew Smith (26) – High flying forward who always creates a contest. He is the teams barometer, when he’s up and flying the team’s going well. Smiddy/Lloyd could be the X-factor of the finals.

Reagan Macdonald (28) – Reags is a first year player at Rovers, who is a no fuss defender that just loves the contest. Nothing flashy about the way he plays, he just brings effort, pressure and determination.

Nathaniel Taylor (31)

– Didn’t start playing until halfway through the season. Since then, Natho has not put a foot wrong, he is super quick around the ground and always gives 100 per cent at every contest.

Luke Holloway – Vice Captain (33) – Holla is another leader of the team that has had a great season, who can break the game open running out from halfback. Always puts his head over the footy

at the contests and is a bit unlucky not to get rewarded more often from the umpires.

Brendan East (coach) –First year back coaching, and looking to fill the big shoes left from last years super premiership winning coach Chris Maher. Has set the standard for moustaches for the team, with no one even coming close. Loves a bit of banter with the boys and running.

Tim Van Lieshout (assistant coach) – Big Timbrr has finally come across to the dark side and left the netball behind. He is always calm and collected on the sidelines, and he brings great knowledge to the team as a premiership player. He loves showing up the boys on the training track, especially one of the ruckman.

Benji Hardman (runner) – most elegant looking runner in the Picola League, that always delivers the messages with poise. The coach can unfortunately only deliver one message a quarter, as he gets a little lost trying to get a kick on the way back.

Stacy Hardman (unofficial team manager) – always has all the paperwork effortlessly set out and ready to go. Nothing is ever an issue as she has probably already done it for you.

Ruby Cowley (GS/GA) (captain) - Ruby is a very competent player who has excellent ball skills. An accurate shooter who always shows leadership on the court. Never fails to impress.

Sienna Elphick (C/WA/GA) (captain)

– Sienna is a talented, reliable player who

never gives up. Her speed and accurate passing makes her a game changer.

Bae Willis (GA/C/WA/GS) - Bae is a hardat-it player whose speed and creativeness on the court makes her difficult to play against. Shooting superstar.

Amy Holloway (GD/GK/WD) - Amy is a powerful, competent defender who owns the ring. Amy frequently shuts down her opponents with her intercepts and rebounds and can switch the play with ease.

Eve Meharry (WD/GD/GK) – Eve is a versatile, athletic player who is able to put consistent pressure on her opponent. Eve’s height and arm span results in several tip offs and intercepts.

Lexi Hussey (WA) – Lexi is a team player who works hard to further develop her netball skills. Lexi has the ability to wait for the perfect opportunity to pass into the ring.

Isabell Macknight (WD/WA/C) - Izzy is an athletic midcourter who shows grit and determination and will attempt any opportunity for an intercept.

Amelie Bulmer (WA/GA/GS/C) – Am is a consistent player with great netball skills who receives centre passes with ease and delivers accurate passes into the ring

Emily Harvey (GK/GD) - Em is a talented strong and solid defender who reads the play

well to take intercepts and rebounds. Very strong under the post.

Zoe Basset (GK/WD) – Zoe is a tall defender who is consistently developing her defending skills with numerous intercepts and rebounds every game.

DENILIQUIN ROVERS FOURTHS

Bentley Hardman - co-captain - Super skilled and dominant onballer who racks up possessions at will. Probably the best onballer in the league and still has another year left in the under-14s.

Jacob Holton - co-captain - Tough as nails onballer. Despite an injury-plagued season, he’s back at the right time. Leads by example with his hard-at-the-ball attitude.

Stuart Benger - vice captain - Stuie is a hard-leading, strong-marking full forward who has kicked 35 goals so far this season. Can also play onball to great effect.

Tom Way - vice captain - Super reliable defender with a strong mark. Leads by example and is very rarely beaten.

Oliver Dunmore - vice captain - Ollie has missed a large part of the season through injury but is back for the finals. An important part of the backline.

Alex Ledwidge - First-year player who has fitted into defence well and has improved with every game.

Jake Harvey - Had a great year at fullback. Attacks the ball hard and sets up attacking moves from defence. A vital part of our finals campaign.

Henry Campion - Youngster showing significant improvement as the season progresses.

Kayden Leech - First-year player also

showing improvement with each game.

Dannon Leetham - First year at the club. Can play ruck or forward and has kicked 36 goals for the season to date. Great mark and probably the best ruckman in the league.

Lincoln Meharry - Athletic ruckman with pace to burn, a strong mark, and a long, accurate kick.

Xander Strong - Super quick, skilful player and great tackler. Will be a very important part of our finals campaign.

Sam Conallin - Plays onball with great skills and consistency. Has had a fantastic year and always features among the best players each week.

Ged O’Donnell - Skilful youngster who is a strong mark and long kicker. Will be a great player for the club in years to come.

Lara Strong - Very important part of the backline. Runs straight at the ball with a great mark, long accurate kick, and is one of the best tacklers on the team.

Cormick Hardman - X-factor small forward who is skilful and elusive. Has scored goals at crucial times in most games.

Michael Benger - Mikey is small in stature but big in heart. Has kicked multiple goals in tough games against strong opponents. His tackling and defensive work in the forward line are impressive.

Mark Godfrey - Probably the most improved player in the side. Runs straight at the ball, has good skills, and doesn’t waste possessions.

Angus Knuckey - Displays silky skills for a young player and is one of the best kickers in the team.

Callan Glenn - Best kick in the team. A left-footer with elite skills and pace, he sets up much of the attacking play from halfback and the wing.

Jobe Unwin - Has had a great year and has slotted into the halfback role effectively. Possesses great skills and pace.

Jett Lynch - Top-age first-year player who has fitted well into the forward line. Accurate kicker and strong mark.

Ryan Bulmer - Completed his first full year of fourths footy. Has improved with every game and will be a great player in the coming years.

Haydn Sampson - First year at the club and has fitted in really well. Controls the backline with accurate kicks and strong marking. One of the most important players in the team and will be vital for our finals chances.

Sam Strong - Hard at the ball with pace to burn. One of the best tacklers in the team and never takes a backward step.

Taj McCully - Highly skilled youngster who has had a great year, regularly featuring among

the best players. A definite star of the future. Harley Benger - Quick and skilful with a long kick and strong mark.

Blayde Lines - First year of footy, has fitted in well, and has shown improvement with each game.

Reece King - Completed his first full year of fourths. Made an immediate impact with his attack on the ball and great skills.

Kywahn Button - Late starter to the season but has fitted into the side very well. Strong mark and accurate kick.

Kelsey Clark - Highly skilled with a very strong overhead mark. An important part of our forward structure.

Carter Sartore - Played his first game this year and did not look out of place. Shows great skills for someone so young.

Stacy Hardman (team manager) - A very important part of the team. Always has things organized and ready to go on game day.

Benji Hardman (runner) - Always there to help the kids with advice and guidance. Delivers messages with speed and precision.

Peter Wills (coach) - A superb coach with extensive experience in junior football. Very encouraging to all the kids and has won the League Junior Coach of the Year in the past, and is deserving of it every year.

Nina Glowrey - Nina is one of our two spirited captains. Known for her fiery passion and quick wit, Nina leads with a mindfulness that uplifts her teammates. Netball runs in her blood, and her dedication on the court is second to none. Even though her pre-game pump up music is questionable, it somehow gets the girls up and about.

Ava Braybon - Ava is the other dynamic captain of our team. Ava is a true powerhouse on the court, dominating every game with her presence and skill. Her enthusiasm and energy is infectious. She is known for being the loudest cheerleader. You will hear her from a mile away! With Ava leading the charge, our team is unstoppable.

Marlie Mison - Marlie is a standout player on our side. Her persistence and exceptional spacial awareness set her apart, making her a crucial asset during every match. Her strong drives and ability to feed the ball with precision ensure that her teammates are always in the best position to score. Her hidden talent is knowing exactly where everyone is — sometimes before they even know it themselves!

Jorja Woolston - The pint-sized dynamo. Don't let her height fool you—Jorja is the most tenacious player you'll ever see. Known for her fearless and immaculate hard passes, she’s always in the thick of the action. Her netball smarts

are off the charts, making her a strategic force on the court. With Jorja around, no loose ball is safe, and her teammates always know they have a secret weapon ready to spring into action.

Zoe Harvey - Zoe's consistency and hard work in defence make her a vital player. She may be silent, but her bravery on the court speaks volumes. Always focused and ready to take on any challenge, Zoe's quiet determination ensures that our team's defense is rock solid. With Zoe guarding the ring, you can be sure the opposition will have a tough time scoring.

Lilly Boyer - Meet Lilly, the sharpshooter of the team. Lilly's accuracy in shooting is matched only by her smart movements on the court. Fast and agile, she weaves through defenders with ease, always finding the perfect spot to take her shot. Her quick thinking and speed make her a formidable opponent, and her teammates know they can count on her to deliver when it counts.

With Lilly leading the charge in attack, our team is always a threat to score.

Olivia Armytage - Olivia is our string-bean, straight shooter. AKA the smiling assassin. Olivia's toughness on the court is balanced by her ever-present grin.

A holding genius, she excels at maintaining possession and creating opportunities for her team. Liv's precision and resilience make her a formidable player, always ready to outmaneuver opponents with her skillful holds. With Olivia in the game, you can expect a blend of tenacity and joy that keeps everyone on their toes.

Meg Meharry - Meg is the baby of the team, but don’t be deceived by her age because Meg is as hard as nails and never gives up. A killer defender, she’s relentless in her pursuit of the ball and always ready to challenge any opponent. Meg's determination and toughness make her a crucial part of the team's defence. The future of our team looks bright and fiercely competitive with Meggy on call!

Lara Horne - Lara, the polite yet formidable force of our team. Known for her impeccable manners off the court, Lara transforms into a defensive powerhouse during the game, shutting down any opponent who comes her way. With a sharp eye for the ball and a sneaky approach, she’s always one step ahead, intercepting passes and disrupting the opposition’s plans. Lara’s blend of grace and grit makes her a standout player and a true asset to the team.

Georgia Danckert - Georgia is our team's precision passer extraordinaire. Known for her direct movements and daring passes, she has a knack for making plays that keep the spectators on the edge of their seat. While some of her bold passes might give her coach a few grey hairs, they always land perfectly where they need to be. Georgia’s daring style and accuracy ensure that every game is thrilling and successful, making her a key player in our team.

Three sides make their way to finals

Three teams will represent the Mathoura Timbercutters in the Picola League finals starting this weekend, and all are netball sides.

B-grade:

Mathoura finished with a win-loss record of 11-4, and one draw. As a result the team finished in fifth position on the ladder alone on 46 competition points, with 775 goals for and 528 goals against.

Longest win streak: six games, rounds 10-15.

Last game: Mathoura 61 def Jerilderie 37. The side will play Tocumwal in the first elimination final at Tungamah tomorrow, with the game starting at noon.

C-grade:

Mathoura finished with a win-loss record of 8-7, and one draw.

As a result the team finished in seventh

position on the ladder alone on 34 competition points, with 621 goals for and 549 goals against.

Longest win streak: three games, rounds 8-10.

Last game: Mathoura 39 def by Jerilderie 49.

The side will play Strathmerton in the second elimination final at Katandra on Sunday, from 1.30pm.

Under-13s:

Mathoura finished with a win-loss record of 10-6. Following this the team finished in seventh position on the ladder alone on 40 competition points, with 386 goals for and 330 goals against.

Longest win streak: three games, rounds 12-14.

Last game: Mathoura 29 def Jerilderie 21.

The side will play Katandra in the second elimination final in Katandra on Sunday, from 10.40am.

BLIGHTY UNDER-13S:

Savannah Bain (WA/GS/GK): A co-captain of the team who leads with great skill and determination. Savannah can play in any position with poise and accurate passing to settle the team and support her teammates.

Lily Petersen (GA/GD): Co-captain of the team who works hard all game in either attack or defence. Lily reads the play to pick off intercepts, shutting down her opposition. She leads by example with her never give up attitude and high work rate.

Amelia Armytage (GK/C/WD): A versatile player who gets numerous intercepts with her long arms in either defence or attack. Whilst proving herself as a formidable defender, Amelia can step into the midcourt with swift movement and enthusiasm.

Alexis Bucholtz (WA/C/WD): A first-year

player, Alexis can beat any defender with her quick movement and determined nature. Always on her toes, she moves the ball into attack and accurately feeds shooters.

Ella Charlton (GA/GS): A consistent shooter who has led the team throughout the season with her accuracy and movement in the goal ring. Ella moves the ball well in attack and is rarely beaten by her defenders with an impressive shooting style.

Shelby Huckin (GD/GK/GS): A versatile player who can easily switch from defence to attack or vice versa. Shelby has stepped up from under-11s displaying improved, skills, confidence and netball knowledge. Her talk on the court is always encouraging, making her an asset to the team.

Ellie Miller (GS/WA/GD): A very

determined and aggressive player who will give 100% no matter where she plays. Ellie moves well in attack to make space and support fellow shooters while also being able to apply immense pressure in defence to shut down any shooters.

Lena Seely (WD): First year player who has shown great improvement and confidence in the WD position. Lena shuts down her opposition, getting many deflections and assisting, loose balls and assists in moving the ball down the court.

Kaydnce Sibraa (C/WA): A talented midcourter who shows impeccable skills and determination. Leading the midcourt with strong drives and accurate passing, Kaydnce reads the play well and feeds the ball into attack to support shooters.
