Refurbished utilities will be on display at this year’s expo thanks to Skippy Automotive’s dynamic and youthful approach to four-wheel drive overhauls.

The Seymour company celebrated its first year of operation last month, and brothers Parth and Param Patel take pride in their contributions to their business, despite their diverse roles.

“I tell Parth, you take care of the marketing and I’ll take care of the cars,” Param said.

The brothers pride themselves on having a dynamic crew of workers behind them and on using Australian products and steel in their overhauls which they call “car cuts”.

“We also employ local kids who all have a passion for cars; we all live and breathe fourwheel drives,” Param said.

Skippy Automotive describes itself as a “onestop shop” for four-wheel drive transformations, which usually involve lifting chassis with new suspension kits and performing car cuts to fit new trays.

Also on offer is internal installation of anything electrical, from fridges to new stereo systems. “We want someone to walk in with a fourwheel drive and say ‘I want this’ and we get them what they want from start to fi nish,” Param said.

The brothers bought 17 ha in Tallarook in 2016 after falling in love with the area, and Param said his passion came from tinkering away on his first car, a LandCruiser. Their display at the expo will include some of the high-quality products they use in their installations, and the crew are planning some surprises on the Friday.
