Head into winter with Maison

Maison Fireplaces will showcase a range of highly efficient, cleanburning European cookers, stoves and fireplaces from leading Italian and European manufacturers La Nordica-Extraflame, Thermorossi and Kobok at this year’s expo.

The brands are designed to exceed the highest environmental standards, producing more heat with less wood. They do this by using the latest combustion technology and operating with up to 89 per cent efficiency, which allows the fires to make the best use of wood as a renewable source of energy for home heating.

Maison Fireplaces’ heating systems are unparalleled in design, heating performance, efficiency, ease of operation and product versatility. The comprehensive range of builtin fireplaces use vertical and large horizontal door openings and are available as double sided, corner and large panoramic models.

The free-standing radiant heaters heat in the same way as the sun. Radiant heat, also known as the healthy heat, heats solid objects rather than the air. With radiant heat there is less air movement, which reduces house dust, and there is less drying of the air.

Radiant heat results in temperature difference from floor to ceiling of 2˚C to 3˚C compared to 12˚C to 15˚C with convection heating. That means less  kW are needed to warm a home and less wood is consumed.

Maison Fireplaces’ John Irwin said customers reported using one third of the wood they had used previously to heat their homes, which resulted in significant dollar savings.

The Maison range also includes traditionally styled and modern wood cookers, with or without hydronic options.

“The new Forno (oven) wood heaters are ideal to enhance your indoor/ outdoor entertaining areas,” John said. Visit Masion Firepalces’ mobile showroom at the expo, their Mansfield and Wodonga showrooms or www.maisonfireplaces.com.au for more information.
