Speech Highlights for Park and Recreation “After many years of planning, ROMARE BEARDEN PARK opened in Third Ward last summer to tens of thousands of visitors and has taken its rightful place as the new crown jewel of the City and another natural attraction for natives and newcomers alike. State of the County Address 1/30/2014 In his first State of the County Address as chairman of the Mecklenburg Board of County Commissioners, Trevor M. Fuller presented a positive outlook for the future of Mecklenburg County. Chairman Fuller recognized the accomplishments of various County departments and noted the importance of economic development by announcing the creation of a task force on poverty and economic mobility. In his speech, Chairman Fuller touched on the topics of Poverty, Education, Economic Development, Human Services, Public Health, Environmental Services & Tax Assessors.
