Electromechanical Vibratory Feeding Equipment JVI electromechanical vibratory feeders, models UPF and UTF, are based on single mass technology, deliver high capacities, repeatable performance and trouble free service. They are ideal for continuous feeding or batching of dry bulk solid material. Typical applications include discharging hoppers or feeding crushers, mixers, furnaces and scales, feeding bucket conveyors or elevators, as well as spreading for more efficient screening. Electromechanical feeders eliminate the maintenance issues inherent with belt feeders and natural frequency vibratory feeders. The simple, rugged design eliminates exciter springs and tuning problems. JVI Electromechanical feeders are available for capacities up to 5000 TPH. Tube feeder arrangements are available as well to convey material in a small work envelope. They are ideal for conveying friable material, as there are no internal moving parts and no material degradation. All JVI feeders are custom engineered to meet the exact application requirements. Drives Electromechanical feeders utilize two JVI unbalanced electromechanical drives for optimum performance. The drives are designed for continuous duty at 100% force output and they are available in CSA certified explosion proof execution. Suitable for harsh environments, JVI electromechanical vibratory drives provide reliable service and low maintenance. Controllers JVI controllers for electromechanical feeders offer electronic feed rate adjustability. By means of a Variable Frequency Drive, the speed of the drive can be infinitely adjusted during operation. Time intervals for ramping on and off are set via an integrated electronic brake. Design Options There are three models of electromechanical feeders to choose from. The UPF is the most popular model; it is ideal for medium to heavy duty applications and most material types. An innovative option for the UPF is the integrated chute-work package for bin discharge feeders. The feeder, the static chutework and the suspension hardware are one piece of equipment and bolt directly to the hopper outlet flange. This design eliminates cable supports and reduces engineering and installation costs.

The second model type is the UTF tube feeder. The UTF is ideal for closed, dust-tight applications. Additional inspection clean out hatches can be added to the UTF for ease of maintenance. An inlet and outlet socket with dust-tight collar is also an option for the UTF model in applications where dust management is a concern. JVI Electromechanical feeders are available with vertical or horizontal discharge outlets. Easily replaceable trough liners can also be added to reduce wear from abrasive material.
