REPORT

Global Village has several goals, such as: - Closing of the CXO project - Servicing of all the stakeholders - Give a space for EPs to share their cultures - Attraction of buddies , host families and new partners for next projects - CXY promotion for Summer peak

Unfortunately, when it comes to the last point – it was not fulfilled since almost all LCs had no sign ups or just few of them. This is a huge learning point for all of us for the next years – in case you take all GCPs and avoid all BCPs and make as one of priority promotion for CXY – you can have a lot of results from the very beginning since EPs are live example of things which people can experience.

Date: 10.02 from 10 am till 3 pm Place: Stara Tržnica Tables: 10 (1 AIESEC, 1 for water and snacks +8 EPs) Concept: open space EP stands, each table had an opportunity to try food from different country. No concert or presentations, just music playing on the background. Was connected with food market downstairs. Partners: Stara Tržnica

-

Good servicing of the site (they want to have further cooperation)

-

-

Not proper division of JD within the OC team (especially between two LCs) so at the end communication with EPs was hard – suggestion for the next time: to make one meeting with all EPs and explain them everything Not a target group on place (either older people or not 18 old)

Date: 04.02 from 8 am till 3 pm Place: Europa Shopping Center Tables: 8 (Promo of AIESEC was on EP tables) Concept: open space EP stands, each table had an opportunity to try food from different country. No concert or presentations Partners: Europa Shopping Center -

EPs were super involved (taking care of people and communicating)

-

Bad communication within the OC team (OCP not downscaling proper information, no communication with site so at the end nothing was prepared on site and nobody knew about it) - Didn’t have promo materials because nobody was assigned as responsible (printed them only in the middle of event) - EPs and organizators were late for event - event on Sunday in shopping center – not many people were there during Sunday and no target group (mostly just families)

Date: 10.02 from 6 pm till 9 pm Place: HalmiSpace cafe Tables: 8 (no AIESEC promo) Concept: Format of a concert, place had around 70-80 chairs and stage. There were EP stands, each table had food. Concert was mostly with presentations of each country and time during place for chatting and tasting food. Partners: HalmiSpace cafe -

«Selling» tickets (for free) in advance – knew how many people are expected to come (sold all the tickets before the event) - Got the contacts from some youth organizations for cooperation - Cooperation with site in general – they provided all necessary things (forks, plates and etc)

-

No promo of AIESEC at all during the event - Lack of space on site (not the best place for this concept of event)

Date: 17.02 from 1 pm till 7 pm Place: CENTRO Shopping Center Tables: 7 (1 for AIESEC promo) Concept: open space EP stands, each table had food. There were presentations of each country, host families speeches, presentation of 2% and internships of AIESEC and also some performances (Slovak dances, guitar playing). At the end was ceremony of giving certificates Partners: CENTRO, Billa (provide products for cooking), Universities (promoting on web), E-KU (also promoted us on their page), TV Centrál - location of event - BILLA as partner for ingredients - people participating in ES involved in GV (HF were sharing, kids from school were performing) - invite the primator from the city (he accepted the invitation in Nitra, but at the end couldn’t come) - have dry-runs of all ppts, program of the day before and post it in event - have OC onsite with specific roles divided - have buddies helping with cooking

-

If you have a specific program – make it under 3 hours (people are getting bored and leaving if one presentation of a country takes 20 minutes) - Don’t rely on the internet on site

-

20 minutes for 1 presentation is too much – people are getting bored In general it’s better to make agenda in more interactive way to involve people Try to put tasting food at the very beginning – otherwise there will be nothing to taste :)

Date: 09.02 from 5 pm till 8 pm Place: City Arena Shopping Center Tables: 11 (1 for AIESEC promo) Concept: open space EP stands, each table had different workshops, quizzes + opportunity to try food from different country. No concert or presentations, just small speeches with microphone Partners: City Arena, Mesto Trnava, 2 Universities (for promotion)

-

location of event (people from different villages close to Trnava were coming)

-

security on the place
