A few things that are important for us [eng]

We love things that are fine and attractive, and especially writing instruments. Ballpoint pens which are so good that they become a part of people’s everyday lives. At home, in the office and on the go. Pens which become a constant companion and that would be sorely missed if they were no longer there. Which is why the question “Can I please have my pen back?” is the greatest compliment that someone can pay us and our writing instruments. It is this emotional quality profile that turns them into convincing brand ambassadors. And that is why we provide them with their timeless, fine form. Some are even considered today to be design classics and, years after their market launch, still look as fresh as they did on the first day. And with them, the logo that they carry on their clip. This also explains why, when it comes to the quality of the writing system, we are unwilling to make compromises. Because the fulfilment of the promise to really write well first makes the promise of the brand that is printed on it credible. Just as important is the big portion of Switzerland that it contains. “Swiss made” stands for the people who work for us and earn their living here, and that questions relating to child labour don’t even arise in the first place. It is the proof that we consciously uphold one of the most stringent bodies of environmental laws in the world in the only country on Earth where the dignity of plants and animals is guaranteed in the constitution. And which also means that we send no containers over the oceans to bring back components from Asia or to deliver assembled writing instruments to our customers. Our “Swiss made” is a part of our self-image and stands for sustainable and socially responsible business practices. And we believe that this is something that is recognisable. Originality is a fundamental part of their quality profile. Which is also why we feel that creativity is important. Because we constantly attempt to make what is already good even a bit better. 2

Und es bedeutet, dass wir keine Container über die Weltmeere schicken, um Bauteile aus Fernost zu erhalten oder fertige Schreibgeräte an unsere Kunden auszuliefern. Unser „Swiss made“ ist Teil unseres Selbstverständnisses und steht für nachhaltiges und sozial verantwortliches Handeln. Und wir glauben, dass man ihnen das anmerkt. Originalität gehört wesentlich zu ihrer Wertigkeit. Und deswegen ist Kreativität für uns wichtig. Weil wir immer versuchen, das Gute noch ein Stück besser zu machen. Que se convierten en un acompañante permanente del que uno ya no quiere prescindir. Por eso, la pregunta «¿me podrías devolver el bolígrafo, por favor?» es también el mayor cumplido que se nos puede hacer —a nosotros y a nuestros bolígrafos—. Esta excelente calidad emocional es la que hace de ellos convincentes mensajeros de marcas. Por eso les damos su forma atemporalmente buena. Algunos de ellos son considerados hoy en día como clásicos del diseño y, años después de su lanzamiento al mercado, aún siguen teniendo un aspecto tan fresco como el primer día. Y con ellos el logotipo que llevan en el clip. Por eso tampoco queremos renunciar a nada en cuanto a la calidad del sistema de escritura. Ese es otro de los motivos por los que nos hemos decidido a continuar haciendo la mayor parte de las cosas nosotros mismos. No externalizamos tareas, para conseguir que todo esté perfectamente coordinado: desde el moldeado por inyección hasta la confección, pasando por la impresión. Eine feine, rhythmische Dreiecksstruktur bestimmt die Gehäuseoberfläche des neuen QS01. Das Muster wird im Spritzguss in die Oberfläche des Gehäuses eingebracht und ist authentischer Bestandteil des Schreibgeräts. Der Clip liegt über dem Gehäuse und setzt das Logo im Zusammenspiel mit der dreidimensionalen Oberfläche wertig in Szene.

Approval of production proof

Colours DS and QS We can print every colour within the Pantone (“C” colours), HKS (“K” colours) and RAL ranges. Please always specify which colour (reference number for one of the colour scales mentioned above) is to be placed where. We print in 5 fluorescent colours (yellow, green, pink, orange, sunset orange) on P02 and M02 surfaces.

Production proof As soon as we have received your printing details, we will send you an e-mail showing colours, position and print size. Please check all information thoroughly. If you are satisfied with the result, please send us your approval of the production proof. Once we have received this approval, we start the production.

Colours and Font size PS2 The PS2 boxes are produced using the classic four-colour process. This technique is particularly suited to the reproduction of images and illustrations. Full colours from the Pantone scale (PMS) are mixed using the basic colours cyan, magenta, yellow and black. The result is matched to your Pantone colour as closely as technically possible. The colour of a letter is the result of the overlapping of two or more colours via four-colour processing. Very small or fine letters (< 6 points) may cause problems in readability. For special requests or requirements, please contact us via telephone or email. We’re always glad to help you.

Corrections If you would like to make changes, please send us a detailed email. Please also make sure that corrections are legible. Prior to printing, we will send you a new draft by e-mail containing the modifications. Once again, you are kindly asked to check the proof and send us your approval.

Colours PS3 The PS3 Dual Boxes are customised with a pad printing technique. Font size DS, QS and PS3 Fonts should always be vector files (PATH). We generally recommend font sizes starting from 4 pt. The maximum size possible depends on the printable area available. Stroke weight The minimum stroke weight and line distance depends on what is technically possible and legible: • stroke weight: ≥ 0,1 mm • line distance: ≥ 0,1 mm Inlays DS5 Image inlay With this option, a paper element can be inserted into the clip. The inlay is printed with the classic four-colour process. This technique is particularly suited to the reproduction of photos and illustrations. If you prefer colours from the Pantone scale (PMS) for your inlay, they are mixed from the basic colours (cyan, magenta, yellow and black). The result is matched as closely as technically possible to the Pantone colours.

Der Farbton eines Buchstabens wird im Vierfarbdruck durch die Überlagerung von zwei oder mehr Farben erzielt. Bei sehr kleinen oder feinen Buchstaben (< 6 Punkt) kann dies die Lesbarkeit beeinträchtigen. Couleurs DS et QS Dans le cadre de ce qui est faisable nous imprimons pour vous toutes couleurs des échelles Pantone (couleurs “C”), HKS (couleurs “K”) et RAL. Veuillez s.v.p. toujours indiquer sur la maquette d’imprimerie quelle couleur (numéro de référence dans l’une des échelles de couleurs mentionnées) doit être placée à quel endroit. Nous imprimons 5 couleurs néon (jaune, vert, rosé, orange, sunset orange) sur tous les surfaces P02 et M02.

Bon à tirer Dès réception de votre BAT, nous vous adressons un message électronique sur lequel les couleurs, l’emplacement et la taille de l’impression sont exactement visibles. Veuillez s.v.p. vérifier toutes les indications qui sont faites ici et nous donner le plus rapidement possible votre autorisation d’impression. C’est seulement après cela que nous démarrerons la production.

Couleurs et taille des caractères PS2 Les boîtes PS2 sont réalisées selon le procédé classique d’impression en quadrichromie. Taille des caractères DS, QS et PS3 Les caractères doivent être en format vectorisé (PATH). En règle générale, nous recommandons des tailles de caractères à partir de 4 points. Vers le haut, la taille des caractères est limitée par la surface d’impression offerte par l’accessoire d’écriture du cas considéré.

Expédition- Emballage Nos produits sont emballés dans des boîtes de 50 ou 100 pièces et envoyés dans des cartons de 500 ou 1000 pièces. Les modèles DS2, DS3.1, DS5, DS7 et DS9 sont emballés dans des boites de 50 pièces et les modèles DS1, DS3, DS8 et QS dans des boites de 100 pièces. Le modèle DS10 est emballé individuellement dans des boites de 50 pièces. Cet insert est imprimé en quadrichromie, une technique qui convient tout particulièrement à la reproduction des photos et des illustrations. Autorización de la impresión

Indique siempre en la plantilla de impresión qué color (número de referencia en una de las escalas de color indicadas) debe ubicarse y dónde. Nosotros imprimimos 5 colores fluorescentes (amarillo, verde, rosado, naranja, sunset orange) en las superfícies P02 y M02.

Apto para imprimir Después de recibir su plantilla de impresión, le enviaremos un correo electrónico en el que puedan apreciarse claramente los colores, la situación de la impresión y el tamaño de la misma. Por favor, compruebe todos los datos aquí indicados. Si todo es correcto, le rogamos nos envíe a la mayor brevedad posible su autorización para la impresión. Solamente entonces iniciaremos la producción.

Colores y tamaño de letra PS2 Las cajas PS2 se realizan en la impresión clásica a cuatro colores. Esta técnica es especialmente idónea para la reproducción de imágenes e ilustraciones. Los colores puros de la escala Pantone (PMS) se mezclan con los colores básicos cyan, magenta, amarillo y negro. El resultado es su color Pantone lo más preciso que sea posible técnicamente. El tono de color de una letra se obtiene en impresión a cuatro colores con la superposición de dos o más colores. Approvazione alla stampa

Colori DS e QS Nel limite del fattibile stampiamo tutti i colori delle scale Pantone (colori “C”), HKS (colori “K”) e RAL. Si prega di indicare sempre sul progetto di stampa quale colore (numero di riferimento in una delle scale cromatiche menzionate) è da utilizzarsi per quale posizione. Stampiamo 5 colori fluo (giallo, verde, rosa, arancio, sunset orange) sulle superfici P02 e M02.

Idoneità alla Stampa Dopo aver ricevuto il vostro progetto di stampa, vi inviamo una bozza via e-mail, in cui indichiamo chiaramente colori, posizioni e dimensione di stampa. Si prega di controllare tutte le indicazioni riportate. Se è tutto come vi siete proposti, attendiamo la vostra tempestiva approvazione. Solo a questo punto potremo iniziare la produzione.
