Meet the new vice - chairman: jacques hartman Dear MDBC Member, Growing, Active, Excellence These 3 words represent everything we want MDBC to be, and become even more of: a growing, active and professional business council delivering excellent services and opportunities to its members, connecting Dutch and Malaysian business men / women and companies who are doing business in Malaysia and / or The Netherlands. In 2013 I joined the Board of Directors; As a Board Member, I became responsible for the Student Intern Program (SIP) Committee. SIP is a great service to our members as it gets young and eager talented students from The Netherlands for a 5 month period to help out with all sorts of projects and research topics, while offering students a great international working experience. Last year, the Malaysian government made significant changes in their visa application process, changes which left some of our members confronted with HR compliance challenges and leaving some of our interns without
student visas. The SIP Committee stepped in to help guide and advise the MDBC team on navigating these challenges, hopefully resulting in a smoother transition in complying with these new Government guidelines. In May, I was asked to succeed Remco Koster as Vice Chairman of the Board and lead the Executive Committee (ExCo). The ExCo supports our Executive Director, Marco Winter, in more strategic tasks, besides providing governance and advice. The main reason I accepted this role was that I am always keen to improve the services offered to our members, and to understand where we can further extend our support & services. To this end, our members will soon be asked to participate in a survey which will provide us with valuable insights. Your input will help us to shape the strategy of the MDBC for the next 3 – 5 years. More information on this survey will be distributed to all members soon.

May turned out to be a very busy and most interesting month for the MDBC. The always-important, wellattended and interactive HR Forum was followed by fact-finding trips to Johor and Penang.
MDBC Human Resources forum 2015 MDBC’s popular Human Resources (HR) Forum consistently provides new and exciting information, valuable lessons learned, discussion topics, practical case studies and ultimately, the best meeting place to discuss current issues with the experts in HR. This important and informative meeting of HR practitioners ensures the sharing of practical, efficient solutions and best practices across all industries and sectors, from large multinationals to SMEs. This year’s HR Forum was an extra special event with the Malaysian debut of RealEx, an interactive theatre performance that helps people initiate change through an innovative experiential learning method that creates instant resolution for communities, organizations and personal success. RealEx is based on Exchange Theatre, an interactive and transformational theatre that originated in France 20 years ago. It is a powerful tool to engage an audience
on crucial discussions in a unique way: after watching a short scenario, spectators are coaxed into performance, where they are encourage to enact an alternative narrative to what they have just seen, with the desire to test an insight or find a solution to a contentious issue or situation. The second half of this year’s forum featured presentations by MDBC members Randstad and &samhoud. Randstad’s Employment Market Analyst for the Asia Pacific Region gave a presentation on “The Future of Work”, which looks at how work will evolve, and how companies need to adapt based on the demographic, social, and technical change that is sweeping across Asia. A copy of the presentation is available on the MDBC website under The Library. &samhoud’s Senior Consultant and Partner were also on hand to highlight why being a “Great Place to Work” is one of the key success factors in attracting and retaining talents these days. &samhoud,

the MDBC Sustainability Awards 2014 winner in the “Innovation Pioneer” category, was honored with the Great Place to Work in the Netherlands for a fourth time under the medium sized enterprise category. They shared their best practices on how to build a Great Place to Work within an organisation and shared their knowledge on how fun elements can lead to better performance. TRIP TO JOHOR On 13 and 14 May, MDBC members were invited to a very unique and comprehensive 2-day fact-finding trip to Johor. Joining us at this event were members of our colleagues DutchCham Singapore, as well as the Netherlands Embassies in Malaysia and Singapore, inclusive of the two Dutch Ambassadors, H.E. Harry Molenaar (Malaysia), and H.E. Jacques Werner (Singapore). Attendees had an exclusive opportunity to see the developments and meet the main players at the Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC) and were able to get a complete overview on Doing Business in Johor, learning all about Iskandar and Nusajaya. Day 1, Stop 1: The Pengerang Deepwater Terminal is a RM5 billion project located in Pengerang, South Eastern Johor, one of the Malaysian Government’s Entry Point Projects. The vision: to transform Pengerang into the Rotterdam of the East. As a regional energy port and gateway to the region, Pengerang can potentially serve 3 billion people in Asia. Upon completion, the Pengerang Deepwater Terminal will be able to handle the storage, blending and distribution of crude oil, gas and petroleum products. Our delegation received extensive briefings from VOPAK, Dialog Group Berhad, Johor Petroleum Development Corporation and PETRONAS on the current and future developments at the Pengerang Integrated Complex. In addition, Boskalis presented on the reclamation construction works phase 1 which it had undertaken. PIC’s sheer magnitude with the RAPID Project (Refinery and Petrochemical Integrated Development) and associated facilities makes it the biggest undertaking of its kind in South East Asia. The first phase of the project is being undertaken

by a joint venture company (Pengerang Independent Terminals Sdn Bhd) comprising DIALOG, Vopak, and the Johor State Government. Vopak, which is headquartered in Rotterdam, is the world’s largest independent tank storage provider and specializes in the storage and handling of liquid chemicals, gasses and oil products. According to PITSB’s Managing Director Law Say Huat, what has been achieved since commencent in 2009 is quite amazing. A similar size set-up in Singapore took 20 years to complete. Also, the jetty’s berthing facilities for very large crude carriers are unique in the region. According to Petronas’ Adnan Harun, PIC’s capacity of 300,000 crude oil barrels per day (BPD) is twice the size of all other faclities in Malaysia together! Mohd Yazid Jaafar and Izhar Hifnei Ismail of JPDC added that Pengerang covers 31% of all NKEA investments. Stop 2: To Kota Iskandar, the Johor Government centre. Here we received an extensive welcome by the Johor State Economic Planning Unit, Johor State Investment Centre, MIDA Johor and IRDA (Iskandar Regional Development Authority), and were given a complete overview on Investment Opportunities in Johor. Stop 3: That evening, the delegation was treated to an excellent cocktail reception hosted by Eco World Development Sdn Bhd, the developers of several housing estates and business parks in Malaysia and specifically in Johor. Our participants were very interested in the beautiful mock-ups of the EcoBotanic homes and the Eco Business Parks - the integrated industrial hubs in Tebrau. Day 2: The day started with combined briefings in Nusajaya by i2M Ventures and Medini Iskandar Malaysia (MIM).

while the group also made a stop for a briefing at Frost & Sullivan’s Global Innovation Centre. The group then went back to EduCity to pay a visit to the Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology (NMIT), please see page 16 for details. The 2-day trip concluded with a visit to MDBC member-company HQ Pack, where Operations Manager Tan Wen Chong gave a tour and explanation of the manufacturing facilities. INTERCHAMBER WITH MABC MDBC held the annual interchamber with our Australian colleagues at the Malaysian Australian Business Council (MABC) on 26 March at the Australian High Commission. The interchamber
kicked off with a talk by Anthony Dass (Chief Economist, AmBank Group) on the Global Economic Outlook for 2015 - 2018. Focused on the G3 and the developing Asian Economies (China,
India, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia), the talk also provided insight into Malaysia’ structural issues and the country’s potential growth. Guests were able to network after the talk with dinner and drinks provided. A few guests went home with lucky draw prizes provided by both MDBC and MABC. For more photos, please see page 39. MDBC PENANG DUTCH EXPERTISE IN URBAN INFRASTRUCTURE
Together with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, MDBC invited members for a visit to Penang of a Dutch delegation with expertise in Urban Infrastructure. In 2013, the ‘Penang Paradigm’ was published by the Penang Institute: a holistic framework which aims for economic growth, liveability and sustainability and social development & inclusion. Parts of the Penang Paradigm include a third link to the mainland, effective public transport and green technology. As Penang is planning an integrated transport system overhaul, which involves a revamp of all transport components (including improved highway network systems, LRT, trams, Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) as well as new ferry services or perhaps even a tunnel between the mainland and island), ideas for the improvement of public transport systems including rail and water modes, bicycle lanes and bus lanes were welcome.

Menara Shell Offices A Landmark For Enhanced Collaboration, Eco-Friendliness, and Continued Confidence In Malaysia Shell Malaysia last April held the officiating ceremony of its Kuala Lumpur offices in Menara Shell, which was also the Shell Group’s first project in the Asia Pacific region completed under its Connect Programme for new ways of working and enhanced collaboration. “For a number of years, Shell occupied premesis in 10 physical locations in the Klang Valley. Today, we have rationalized our footprint to 2 locations - Cyberjaya and KL Sentral. These offices have been designed to be easily accesible by our employees, customers and business partners, eco - friendly and help reduce our carbon foorprint; thanks to Tan Sri Salim for delivering us a LEED Platinum building, the first of its kind in KL,” said Iain Lo, Country Chairman of Shell Malaysia Limited. Speaking at the ceremony, Guest-ofHonour Datuk Dr. Rebecca Fatima Sta Maria, Secretary-General of the Ministry of International Trade and Industry said,

NMIT rescuesim launch The Netherlands Maritime Institute of Technology (NMIT) recently launched their new simulator system “RescueSim - Incident Command Simulator”. The launch coincided with MDBC’s recent two day fact finding trip to Johor. Attended by members of MDBC, our colleagues from DutchCham Singapore, and the Netherlands Embassies of Malaysia and Singapore, the visit to NMIT included a short briefing and tour for delegates to learn more about NMIT. It covered matters such as a discussion of Malaysian - Dutch cooperation, building a talent pool for maritime sector within Johor and Iskandar, Nusajaya and the launching ceremony of RescueSim.

RescueSim is an incident management simulator that prepares safety and security professionals for incidents by letting them train in a realistic virtual environment, without dangers, costs and time associated with traditional training. With RescueSim, users can try different response strategies for each incident. Professional Instructors can easily build any incident scenario using the intuitive toolbox and have full control over events during the exercise and change the incident real time. Launched by H.E. regus expansion and flexible workplaces Flexible workspace provider The Regus Group is expanding its’ current network of office space in Malaysia to include more areas outside of Kuala Lumpur. Its’ latest centers are located in the new market in Financial Park Labuan and Johor Bahru City Square (JBCS), bringing its’ total number of centers nationwide to 22. Regus helps companies introduce flexible work practices, such as giving employees more choice over where and how they work. Flexible workspaces can also help companies in Malaysia to adopt more productive HR practices, such as flexible and remote working. According to Regus research, over six in ten (63%) firms in Malaysia now think that seamless remote management is possible and almost threequarters (72%) of respondents believe that flexible working adds significantly to productivity and enables businesses to save money. Regus Country Manager Vijayakumar Tangarasan said, “With this launch, Regus now has 22 centers in Malaysia. We believe that there’s serious untapped
potential here, and that’s why we chose to be there as our first centre in that new market. With our research data showing that almost two-thirds of Malaysian companies believing remote management is a significant aid to productivity, the launches of the new business centres in Labuan and Johor Bahru are a positive step forward in validating those findings and will encourage more firms to make flexible working a reality.” Regus’s global research gives clear evidence of the benefits of flexible working. In a survey of over 20,000 business executives, 76% of respondents in Malaysia said flexible working leads to greater productivity. Regus’ growth and investment in Malaysia is part of a rapid expansion of its network across Asia Pacific. Regus Malaysia has now extended their Malaysia network to Kuala Lumpur, Selangor, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Labuan and Johor. AN INSIDE LOOK: SHELL MALAYSIA According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), an estimated 270 billion barrels of oil lie beneath the ocean floor. As the global population increases, energy demand is also increasing, driving international oil companies (IOC) and national oil companies (NOC) to explore the depths of the ocean to tap the potential energy sources beneath the surface. MDBC member Shell has been a pioneer in deep-water oil and gas exploration for decades, delivering more than 20 deep-water projects across the globe and contributing a wealth of knowledge and technology to the sector. Active in Malaysia since 1891, Shell’s business activities in Malaysia are Upstream International, Downstream, and Projects & Technology. They have also established several hub businesses in Malaysia, which provide services and expertise to the Asia Pacific region and, in some cases, globally. Backed by over a century of history and presence in the country, Shell is the petroleum retail market leader in Malaysia, catering to one – third of Peninsular Malaysia and half of Sabah and Sarawak’s market requirements. Apart from being one of the country’s largest networks of retail stations, Shell Ma-
laysia’s operations also include the world’s first commercial gas to liquid (GTL) plant in Bintulu, Sarawak, and a refinery in Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan. Under production sharing contracts with PETRONAS, Shell is the largest natural gas producer in Malaysia. At the helm of this organization is Iain Lo, Chairman of Shell Malaysia. Originally from Sarawak, he is a civil engineer with a Master of Science degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Lo joined Sarawak Shell Bhd in 1990 as a field engineer building offshore platforms. He believes that as the current country chairman, he has the opportunity to develop Malaysia’s talent pool, besides making an impact on Shell’s business and growth. “Malaysia is an important market to Shell and we continue to have confidence in the country. Shell has been in Malaysia for over 120 years and there are still many opportunities for Shell to contribute to the nation. The new Kuala Lumpur offices in Menara Shell are the latest by the company to demonstrate its confidence in Malaysia through longer term investments, innovation sharing, and local impact. Recently, Shell broke ground for a new production support building in Sarawak, which will include one of the largest laboratories for upstream oil and gas in Malaysia. The state of the art lab in Miri will be built to the industry’s best practices for lab design and will house cutting edge analytical instruments to accommodate the growing number of both equipment and staff. Malaysia is also home to the Gumusut Kakap platform. According to Lo, “We are the largest foreign oil producer in Malaysia, our flagship Gumusut Kakap project has an annual peak production of 135kbpd. GK is Shell’s first deep-water project in Malaysia, and we’re very glad to bring our 30 years of experience at the forefront of deep water technology to unlock Malaysia’s deep water potential.” A Joint Venture (JV) operated by Shell is developing the Gumusut-Kakap deep-water field with partners ConocoPhilips Sabah, PETRONAS Carigali, and Murphy Sabah Oil. is located 120km offshore from Sabah in water depths of 1,200 metres, approximately two and half times the height of the PETRONAS Twin Towers. Nick Turner, Malaysia’s Deep Water Venture Leader, says: “Gumusut-Kakap changes the landscape for Malaysia,” and at peak production contributes up to 25% of Malaysia’s oil production. Safely and successfully delivering the project has resulted in increased energy production. The project is the first of its kind in the country, boasting the utilization of innovative technologies. The platform is the first deep-water semi-submersible floating production system (FPS) in Malaysia. The hull floats on four large columns which are partially submerged and anchored to the seabed using 12 two kilometre chains. The capacity it provides, along with its mobility, means it could easily enable future energy discoveries in the area, using the platform as a hub. The platform itself weighs approximately 40,000 tonnes, equivalent to 30,000 medium-sized cars. Not only did the team deliver a mega-project never before seen in Malaysia, it safely completed a then record-breaking 23,000-tonne onshore lift when it raised the platform topsides in order to place the hull underneath. Another point of pride for the project is that the platform was built entirely in Malaysia and directly involved 5,000 workers during the construction. Constructing the platform and its components in-country allowed local staff and Shell the opportunity to work together, using Shell’s deep-water expertise to boost the local company’s capabilities. Shell brought in experts from the Deep Water Centres of Excellence in New Orleans, Louisiana and Houston, Texas in the United States. The centres brought in talent and technology during the construction phase, transferring deepwater knowledge to position Malaysia as a regional deep water hub.

STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM MYLAPS MDBC member MYLAPS Malaysia opened its representative office in 2013. A subsidiary of MYLAPS Sports Timing which has its headquarters in Haarlem, the Netherlands, and regional offices in Australia, Japan, Malaysia and the USA. MYLAPS Malaysia started participating in the Student Internship Program (SIP) back in 2013. According to Raymond Perin (General Manager, MYLAPS Malaysia Representative Office), the advantages of the program are that the students are matched by MDBC and that MDBC takes care of the visa paperwork. From the latest batch of interns, MYLAPS now has 2 students. Their main assignment is to conduct market research on the relevant sports market in the Asian region. “For MYLAPS, this market research is very valuable, it gives useful information on the sizes of the various markets and our market share. With that information we can make decisions on the markets to approach in the coming period” says Perin. “Along with the market research, we al-

Besides Reno Werner (3rd year Logistics Engineering student at NHTV University) and Dion Liqtvoet (3rd year International Logistics & Economics student of NHTV Breda) are both conducting market research for Tasco. Reno is currently doing market research on the Malaysian health care industry. Tasco is considering distributing medical devices and / or pharmaceutical in Malaysia. The tasks Reno is working on provides insight and an important overview of the Malaysian Healthcare market. He is also conducting an internal supply chain analysis to see which assets and / or resources are missing. After both, a gap analysis will be made to provide the company with an overview about the tactical and operational steps that should be taken so that they can serve the healthcare market. Dion is working on automotive market research with a focus on the domestic market, the results of which will provide Tasco with more knowledge regarding the logistic aspect of operating locally. He is also actively involved in internal projects, making this internship a fulfilling experience so far.
“The company culture at Tasco is a warm and welcoming one, from the operating staff all the way up to the Managing Directors,” commented Dion. When asked about why he chose to participate in SIP he added, “I dreamed of being able to do an internship in an exciting and beautiful country like Malaysia. After being here for almost 2 months, I know I made the right choice in coming here. I’m having a great time and will take this experience with me for the rest of my career,” shared Dion. When asked about their participation with SIP, Tasco responded, “The added value of interns from Holland is seen in the high level of academic research and thinking they display. We see that this produces good results and helps the company answer questions it wouldn’t have had the time for. Another important feature is the spill over effect of having western educated students mingle with our own younger local employees. In all fairness this goes both ways, whereby we see the interns also learning fast about Malaysian (business) culture”.

KINGSDAY RECEPTION, THE DUTCH CUSTOMS ATTACHÉ, AND DUTCH PRESENCE AT OGA 2015 KINGSDAY RECEPTION On 27 May, Dutch communities all around the world celebrated Kingsday. The Dutch national day, which is also the King’s birthday, is an excellent opportunity to showcase what the Netherlands is all about, as well as strengthen the relationship between Malaysia and the Netherlands. With a small embassy consisting of only 15 employees in total, organizing a big event like this takes a lot of time and effort. Everyone from the embassy was involved in some way, but a core team of six people was initially responsible for organizing the entire event. Months in advance, the team started planning this event which would take place at the ambassador’s residence. Hosting the national day celebration at the residence rather than a hotel involves a lot of planning and organization. Food
and drinks had to be arranged, along with the set up which included a tent, sound system, bars, tables, and decorations. Learning from last year’s event, the decision was made to have a floor included in the tent which was set up in the garden, enabling everybody to keep their feet dry. This beautiful transparent tent with floor was very well received by our six hundred (!) Dutch and Malaysian guests, and was just one of the many elements that pulled together to create what some have said was the best national day celebration ever hosted in KL. As the embassy does not have a big budget for an event like this, we are ever so grateful to our sponsors; we know that without them, we could never have realized such a well received event. Customs attaché Rick Ligthart visited the embassy in June to tell us a bit more about his work. Rick Ligthart is stationed in Singapore but his work concerns the entire South-east Asian region. The Dutch Customs department has several attaché’s all over the world to help improve import and export between the Netherlands and other countries by working together and trying to streamline paperwork and procedures on both sides. This should, in the end, decrease the time that companies spend on customs procedures, thus saving companies not only time, but also money. Also for Malaysia, Dutch Customs is looking for more ways to ease import- and export procedures on both sides.
NETWORKING RECEPTION WITH THE IRO DURING OGA 2015 A BIG SUCCESS! Even though the drop in oil prices lately would predict otherwise, Oil & Gas Asia had it’s biggest exhibition ever this year with a total of ten halls. Dutch companies were present at the Dutch Pavilion that was organized by Dutch organization IRO. The pavilion was very successful and attracted many visitors, including customers, suppliers and agents. In these times where the sector is in turmoil, building strong relations is even more
important, so the IRO asked if the embassy would host a networking event, as we had also done in previous years. This year we opted for a networking dinner at the residence on June 3rd that was very well received. All the Dutch companies that participated in the Dutch pavilion were present. RANDSTAD: WORKMONITOR Work vs. Private time: Blurred lines Randstad is one of the world’s largest recruitment and HR services providers, with Asia Pacific operations in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, Australia and New Zealand. The Randstad Workmonitor was launched in the Netherlands in 2003 and now covers 33 countries around the world, encompassing Asia Pacific, Europe, and the Americas. Published four times a year, it makes both local and global trends in mobility regularly visible over time. The Workmonitor Mobility Index, which tracks employee confidence and captures expectations surrounding the likelihood of changing employers within a six month time frame, provides a comprehensive understanding of job market sentiments and employee trends. In addition to measuring mobility, it provides insights into employee satisfaction and personal motivation, as well as explores sentiments around key trends sharing the world of work for employees every quarter. According to the Randstad Workmonitor Q2 2015 survey released recently, seven in ten (69%) employees in Malaysia believe that their employers expect them and their colleagues to be available by phone and e mail during their holidays.
Results show that Malaysian employees are finding it hard to switch off from work completely, even during their holidays because they liked to stay involved (47%) as opposed to their counterparts in Singapore (41%) and Hong Kong (39%). Director of Randstad Malaysia, Ryan Carroll, said that the ever-changing landscape of information, communications and technology in Malaysia is causing many employees to find difficulties in striking a work - life balance. “74% of the employees surveyed suggested that employers expect staff to be available outside office hours; these extra work hours do not result in productivity.” “Employee retention remains a key challenge in Malaysia and as we are moving towards a workforce that is mainly dominated by Gen Y who prioritizes their relationship and lifestyle rather than work, it is important that employers take practical action to encourage employees to switch off outside of work.” “Not emailing outside of work hours, setting clear priorities to allow employees to schedule tasks over a reasonable period of time, limiting how often employees can take work home are some ways

Cultural Impact: RealEx BRINGING IDEAS INTO ACTION
Text by Marie Tseng (Director, Cultural Impact) When it comes to implementing change, one of the biggest challenges for corporations and HR practitioners is to translate concepts and ideas into actionable behaviours. REALEX offers an innovative and powerful tool by engaging the audience to witness, acknowledge, reflect and take action on situations that require change at the workplace. During our latest performance at the MDBC HR Forum on 29 April, we prompted HR professionals, entrepreneurs, and corporate leaders to watch, debate, and react to situations of gender tensions in the workplace. After watching scenarios inspired by real life situations, the audience at the Forum were encouraged to reflect on them, share ideas and, most importantly, were compelled to help the characters on stage. Suerd Polderdijk, General Manager of Frames Asia Pacific Sdn Bhd, commented, “I was surprised to hear that the sketches were real life cases. I was left feeling, does this really happen?” The answer to that question came from the audience themselves. After having performed the play, our Game Master checked with the audience to see if the incidents they had just seen felt familiar. A murmur of approval came from the floor. This is the first strength of REALEX: to allow the audience to identify with a situation, exposing challenges people encounter in private and public organizations in Malaysia. What happened next was a lively discussion on how the women on stage could improve their situations. This is the second strength of REALEX: to provoke thoughts and discussions, liberating a spontaneous dialogue that opens a spectrum of responses to the situation. WOMEN AT WORK is not about blaming society or their employers for the situations women find themselves in, it is about helping them to explore better ways to respond to difficult situations, which ultimately can help them perform better. The audience were then encouraged to experiment and to find solutions to the challenging situations exposed. The spectators became ‘spect-actors’ when some members of the audience actively contributed to the play. They could see the impact of their interventions ‘live’ and reflect even further about their relevancy and efficiency. As mentioned earlier, the difficult part in bringing change to an organisation is to move from concept to action. Ryan Carroll (Country Manager, Randstad Malaysia), 6/18/15 8:58 AM clearly saw the value of REALEX: “It is
a good tool for discussing the execution of behaviors rather than just the ‘do’s and don’ts’. Often people are aligned on the concept but are not sure how to execute”. He concluded that REALEX gives people the opportunity to explore different responses and behaviours. However one person expressed concern, “We had a few courageous and outgoing personalities in the room that stepped up immediately. I am curious if it will work among other kinds of audiences, I would imagine it may take some prompting for the audience to come forward and participate.” This reservation brings me to the third and most powerful strength of REALEX. People who come in, not knowing what they are about to experience, will be challenged to get out of their comfort zone. As an immediate outcome, they will be surprised to experience a ‘live’ response to their actions. Whether they took the challenge to go on stage or simply watched from their seats, REALEX had an impact on everyone in the audience. We saw that at the MDBC forum when, after the REALEX session, a speaker’s gender biased remark triggered an immediate reaction from the public! The optimised hull shape of the ART8032 generation Rotortug allows ahead and astern speeds of well over 13 knots. In terms of bollard pull, 84 tonnes over the stern and 82 tonnes over the bow is achieved. The advanced design concept benefits from improved versatility, flexibility, and response time. The end result is a user-friendly, highly responsive tug, with focus on safety and performance.
