These past months saw the widest variety of events - different formats, speakers, venues and occasions. From factfinding to networking, you’ll find it at MDBC!

AGM / TALK BY INVEST SELANGOR Last June, MDBC held its Annual General Meeting (AGM) over Financial Year 2014 at the Hilton Petaling Jaya. Before the formalities of the AGM, the 40 members who were present also attended a talk on “Doing Business in Selangor”, presented by the Hon. Dato’ Teng Chang Khim, Selangor State Executive Councilor for Investment, Trade and Industry, SMEs & Transport. Also present were representatives from Invest Selangor. Sven Schneider (Acting Senior Manager, Head of Corporate Communication & Strategic Planning Division) and the team from Invest Selangor help interested companies set up their business operations in Selangor and solve any problems that they may face. Invest Selangor which was recently rebranded, is the investment promotion agency of Selangor. According to Dato’ Teng, Selangor is the most advanced and developed state in Malaysia. “Selangor contributes more than 23% to the Malaysian GDP and the

state economy has been growing faster than the national average for many years. On average, Selangor’s economy has been growing at 6.5% (GDP growth) a year for the past 8 years. Domestic and foreign direct investments have been an important part of this success story.” The Dutch are a significant partner with a big role in investment into the

state. Currently ranked at 13 of the top foreign investors into Selangor, the value of Dutch investments stands at roughly RM 882 million and includes a number of interesting Dutch corporations such as MDBC member companies CEVA Logistics, Philips, and Shell. The Selangor government hopes that their future plans for the development of the state will continue to attract these investors. In 2014, Invest Selangor established 5 core clusters. Each cluster includes a range of industries from aerospace to pharmaceuticals and will offer better planning instruments through their new industrial agenda. When the project has been fully implemented, further development will be made in complementing services, which would likely include logistics, education or IT / ICT services. Dato’ Teng also announced two initiatives related to IT / ICT. “It is the intention to open Selangor even more to the world and become a significant player in the global trade network. In order to achieve this, we have to focus on a few new platforms offering tools to assess the world. I believe that Selangor needs to conquer the digital arena for its small and medium sized enterprises as much as for all other resident companies. Accordingly, we will strengthen trade networks through the recently founded Selangor Information Technology and E - Commerce Council (SITEC), and further enhance the creative

and digital start up scene via our Selangor Digital Creative Centre (SDCC). These initiatives will provide mentoring and guidance, seminars and networking opportunities for SMEs and startups to tap their digital potential”. The Selangor government is making efforts to help put local companies on the map and raise awareness of Selangor to foreign corporations via the Selangor International Expo 2015, planned for 26 November at the Mines Exhibition and Convention Centre. “We will present Selangor through our 5 core clusters and intend to include complementing business services such as logistics. Our main theme is the influence of halal concepts on business and how to tap this market potential. I certainly invite all members of MDBC to join our exhibition and be a part of the biggest trade event in the state”, added Dato’ Teng. A panel discussion with Dato’ Teng, Sven Schneider and MDBC Vice - Chairman Jacques Hartman (Director, Business Process Excellence, Asia Pacific of CEVA Logistics) enabled attendees to address in depth questions and concerns they had about conducting business in Selangor and the future plans of the state. Visit to DiGi MDBC visited DiGi Telecommunications for a briefing on how DiGi has incorporated CSR and Sustainability into it’s core business. These initiatives proved to be innovative and informative as it gave attendees a look at how an organization can and should think outside the box to create opportunities for melding CSR and Sustainability initiatives with your core business. DiGi provided a number of examples which ranged from policies to encourage car pooling amongst employees (by reserving covered parking within the building premesis only for those who car pooled to work, making car pooling easier by providing information on fellow employees who lived close to one another, and by providing incentives / tokens of appreciation for those who did car pool), to providing special reserved parking spaces in the covered parking lot near

the doors for pregnant staff, making their headquarters Green Building Index (GBI) certified (their Data Center located across the street is already GBI certified Gold, and ensuring that every employee (from CEO on down) spent some time interacting with clients at one of their stores. While there, members also had the opportunity to tour the DiGi facilities, seeing first hand many of the CSR and Sustainability initiatives being put into practice by the DiGi team. MDBC PENANG: OVERVIEW OF THE PENANG PROPERTY MARKET On 25 May, the MDBC Penang Chapter organised a talk on Penang Real Estate (past, present, and future). Hosted by Henry Butcher Real Estate Co., this exciting 2 hour seminar was presented by Dr. Jason Teoh, Henry Butcher’s Manging Director. According to Dr. Teoh, an overview of the Penang real estate market would take a lot more than the 2 hours which would be allocated to this seminar, but he would provide attendees with the important

highlights of that history. Malaysia, and Penang in particular, has seen a very gradual rise in real estate prices over the past 10 years. Of course all the attendees asked Dr. Teoh for recommendations on what to buy, and what is hot in the Penang market. Remarkably, he mentioned new style retirement homes. Following a study trip to Japan, Dr. Teoh noticed this big gap in the Penang market and recommended it as a good investment. The highest growth (18.5%) over the last 5 years has been

in landed property, which isn’t surprising as there is little on offer with the limited space available in Penang. CYBERJAYA NETWORKING & BRIEFING Cyberjaya forms a key part of the Multimedia Super Corridor in Malaysia. An IT themed city, Cyberjaya has extensive and intensive fiber optic cabling; it has a telecommunication backbone running primarily on fiber optics known as the Cyberjaya Metro Fiber Network (CMFN). CMFN offers full redundancy throughout the network and is part of what enables many data centres to be located in Cyberjaya. Cyberjaya also has an electricity service standard at 99.99%

KLM LAUNCHES NEW APPS KLM Royal Dutch Airlines recently launched its new smartphone app for iOS and Android. As soon as the customer opens the app, it shows the most relevant information and the best next action to take. In addition, a simplified booking tool, one tap check in, quick payment and effortless seat changes further contribute to a better and more personal customer experience. “With this new app, we have reached the next level of anticipating our customers’ needs, keeping them one step ahead of their journey. Together with our

customers we will continuously improve and further develop the app and our other mobile services”, said Tjalling Smit (Senior Vice - President E-Commerce, Air France / KLM). Earlier this year, KLM also launched their smartwatch apps. Available on both the Android and Apple platforms, users will be able to check their flight overview any time after making a booking. Users start receiving trip-related notifications 24 hours ahead of their departure. Upon entering Amsterdam Airport Schiphol’s “geofence”, passengers automatically

receive a notification with gate information and their boarding time. An hour before departure, passengers will receive a message with their boarding pass, ready to be scanned at the gate. Final notification with the seat number is sent just before departure.

AIRBORNE OIL & GAS SUPPLIES TCP FLOWLINE TO PETRONAS Following the successful completion of a 3 year qualification program of subsea flowline for hydrocarbon service, PETRONAS has requested Airborne Oil & Gas to supply a TCP (Thermoplastic Composite Pipe) Flowline for a pilot project, intended to be installed later this year. The scope includes the delivery of a 550 meters TCP Flowline, ancillaries, offshore installation, engineering and field support. The 6 inch ID TCP Flowline is to be installed in 30 meters water depth connecting two platforms located offshore Malaysia. Datin Rashidah Karim (Head of Operational Technology, PETRONAS Carigali) said, “At PETRONAS we recognize the potential for the use of Non-

EXACT ANNOUNCES PARTNERSHIP WITH FORMULA 1 DRIVER - MAX VERSTAPPEN Max Verstappen, the talented Toro Rosso Formula 1 team driver, recently signed a personal partnership agreement with Exact, a global frontrunner in cloud based business software for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). The partnership underlines a match on drive, mentality and ambition between the Dutch driver, whose sights are set on a top podium finish, and the Dutch software company that is focused on becoming a global top three player in business software in the cloud for SMEs. MAMMOET: WESTERMEERWIND WIND PARK Recently the Van Oord / Mammoet joint venture drove the last foundation pile into the bed of the IJsselmeer, completing the foundation work for the Westermeerwind wind park. The installation of the 48 foundation piles in the bed of the IJsselmeer went extremely smoothly. Westermeerwind Project Director Peter de Weijs said, “We are very satisifed with how well the installation of the foundation piles went. Despite the fact that we were dependent on the weather, everything proceeded extremely smoothly. The construction of the Westermeerwind wind park is right on schedule”. The entire wind park is expected to be completed in February 2016.

QATAR AIRWAYS LAUNCHES DOHA - AMSTERDAM SERVICE Qatar Airways, the award-winning fivestar airline, has commenced services between Amsterdam and Doha with the inaugural flight landing at Schiphol Airport on 16 June, welcomed with a traditional water cannon salute. Amsterdam is the airline’s first destination in The Netherlands and its 34th in Europe. Passengers who arrived on board the inaugural flight were welcomed by hostesses in traditional Dutch dress and were presented with wooden tulips as part of the celebrations. AN INSIDE LOOK: BESI APAC - HENK - JAN JONGE POERINK BE Semiconductor Industries N.V. (Besi) is a global company with its headquarters in Duiven, the Netherlands. It operates seven facilities for production and development activities, as well as eight sales and service offices across Europe, Asia, and North America. Besi is engaged in one line of business: the development, manufacturing, marketing, sales and service of semiconductor assembly equipment for the global semiconductor and electronics industries. Here in Malaysia, Besi APac, located in Shah Alam, is headed by Henk - Jan Jonge Poerink (Senior Vice President Global Operations & Managing Director, Besi APac). A graduate of University of Twente in the Netherlands with a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Henk - Jan has now been with Besi for over 5 years. MDBC: Besi has an extensive presence throughout Asia and Europe. Could you share with us some of the differences between the Chinese and Malaysian operations? HJJP: Throughout the years, Besi has successfully acquired several companies originally based in Switzerland, Austria, USA and the Netherlands with their own unique operational style, identity, background and culture. The operations in the European sites were later on shifted to Asia and consequently, the Asian operational culture was blended in.

Despite different origins across the world, Besi is a global company that emphasizes strictly on the standardization and we portray ourselves with a single identity and image to our stakeholders. This is achieved through the utilization of the state-of-theart ERP tools such as SAP and IBM Lotus Notes in all sites that enables a common working database for activities like knowledge transfer, supply chain management, engineering change control, work instructions, production planning, etc. In terms of internal key process flows, it is a one to one ‘copy exact’ for both Asian operation sites coupled with the ISO 9001 compliances. In summary, there are no significant differences between the Chinese and Malaysian operations and key processes apart from the logistic aspect that the individual site is definitely closer to the respective customers located either in South East Asia and the Far East to provide a faster and efficient service. MDBC: Besi selected Malaysia as its first foreign production base. Can you share some of the history of Besi in Malaysia, reasons for selecting Malaysia at that time and your advice for other Dutch manufacturing companies who are currently considering Malaysia as a base of operations? HJJP: Fico Malaysia was setup in 1982 as a sales and service hub in Petaling Jaya to serve some of our main customers that opened several operational sites across

Malaysia. It grew gradually into a spares manufacturing facility in Shah Alam in 1991 and 10 years later, Fico Malaysia achieved ISO 9001 and 14001 certifications and began manufacturing machine modules for Fico Netherlands.

The production transfer was followed by another important milestone which was the achievement of the Leadership Excellence and Lean Six Sigma in Besi Apac and today, Besi Apac operates with 450 staff in a space of 10,000 m2 that is capable to generate yearly revenue of approximately 600 million ringgit. Malaysia was selected as the main manufacturing facility of Besi mainly due to its strategic and disasterfree location in Asia, customer proximity,

MDBC: Given how global business has become, we find that a lot of supply chains are becoming international (parts are sourced from multiple regions, assembly takes place in a different one before it gets shipped back to the “home country” for distribution world wide). Is this the case with Besi? And can you share with us some of the pros / cons of this set up? HJJP: In the past, parts were sourced from multiple regions, assembled into machines in Besi Apac and shipped back to the “home countries” for final test before delivered to the customers mainly located in Asia. This manner of business is called “non-direct shipment” in Besi and incurred a very high operation cost. This had to change, so in 2010 strategies were streamlined so that not only machine parts are localized and purchased from the local suppliers. Besi has developed local suppliers to a level so they are able to assemble

semi-finished modules. These semi-finished modules are integrated in the machine in Besi Apac and subsequently, application and final test are carried out in Besi Apac by the local engineers that are fully qualified and trained before being delivered directly to the end customers. Two strategies involved here are called “Complete Module Outsourcing” and “Direct Shipment” that contribute towards the exponential growth of Besi’s profit margin in the recent 5 years. The main advantages of this strategy are; reduction of operational costs, cost price reduction, efficient inventory management, increased ramp-up and ramp-down flexibility and better on time delivery. One of the cons is that we are becoming more dependent on our suppliers. In another words, the development initiatives and strategies will not be limited only within Besi boundary itself but also across the complete chain of suppliers that we are highly dependent on in order to minimize the risk of this dependency. MDBC: Given the significant drop in the value of the Ringgit recently, how has this affected MNCs such as yours? HJJP: For Besi it has been a benefit as we export 90% of our machines outside Malaysia. Due to the low Ringgit our machine cost price is lower as we sell in US dollar. So overall the devaluation of the Ringgit has increased the margin for Besi. For a company that is not exporting goods and has to import goods from Europe or the USA while reporting in Ringgit it must have a great impact, this is luckily not the case for Besi. MDBC: Though there are a number of ways to counteract currency exposure, which approach do you think is best for organizations such as yours? HJJP: As Besi is a global company we have a global treasury strategy and try to hedge our foreign currency exposure for all Besi sites. Another method is to create a so called natural hedge, by purchasing as much as possible in Ringgit or US dollar. To achieve this we need to localize the majority of the components in Malaysia. For example; we have taken a risk mitigation step when the Swiss franc increased 20% to the Euro overnight. All of the materials and modules supplied by Swiss suppliers were negotiated to change from Swiss franc to US dollar and the production of the components has been transferred to local suppliers where possible. The program is now almost finished and has helped Besi to mitigate the Swiss franc exposure.

HJJP: The devaluation of the Ringgit will spur the export of Malaysia, but reduces the import of the country. This could be an advantage for local companies and could create growth due to the increased export. MDBC: How will this affect your supply chain? (Your vendors, suppliers, etc) HJJP: For our overseas suppliers there is no impact as they sell in Euro or US dollar. For our local vendors that have to purchase some parts in Europe or the USA there will be cost pressure. However besides the negative currency impact there are also some positive macro-economic impacts that help to mitigate the devaluation of Ringgit; like the low commodity pricing at the moment for raw materials i.e. steel etc, freight cost is lower due to the lower oil and petrol price and interest rates on loans and credit are at a record low level. MDBC: How will this affect your clients? HJJP: Besi international & regional clients are not affected because Besi will not increase its equipment sales price. Our selling price remains in US dollar. Local clients in Malaysia are potentially affected as they purchase our equipment in US Dollar while their cost and reporting is mainly Ringgit based. So far we didn’t see a downward trend in local sales orders in the past quarter. MDBC: What is your outlook for 2016? HJJP: Overall 2016 will be a challenging year as for our semiconductor industry an overall 10% reduction is forecasted by VLSI, one of the most important research and benchmarking organizations in our industry. For Besi we might outperform the market due to the launch of iPhone 7, iWatch 2 and a fast growing need for sensors in the automotive industry for the selfdrive functionality or safety assistance in cars. The future will tell but in our business looking ahead for three months is already a huge challenge. We will introduce two brand new technologies to the market for Thermo Compression Bonding and Wafer Level Molding, these techniques will make 1 terabyte memory chip technology and 40 megapixel cameras for mobile devices or cars possible, so we are ready for the coming years. For Asia we will continue to grow in Malaysia and China, and with us, our suppliers will grow.

STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM DIA BRANDS Estée Coenraad (4th year International Business and Management student from the International Business School of the University of Applied Sciences in Amsterdam), and Eline Heida (3rd year International Communication student from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Groningen) are here in Malaysia as part of the MDBC Student Internship Program. Keen on travel, meeting new people, and experiencing new cultures, both have grown up in an international environment but have never experienced the business environment in Asia. As part of their studies, an internship abroad helps them gain cross-cultural experience and puts their knowledge from school into practice. They started their internship journey at DIA Brand Consultants Sdn Bhd. DIA Brands is a strategic brand consultancy with offices in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, and has strategic partnerships across Asia and the rest of the world. In June 2014, Geomil opened their branch office in Kuala Lumpur (their first outside of the Netherlands) in order to be support their business in the region. On the third day of my internship

Tasked with a market research project with a focus on Myanmar and Indonesia, Pepijn must search for potential customers, contact local authorities to investigate building codes and approach universities and other institutions to promote Geomil’s technologies. SHARING DUTCH CYCLING & WATER EXPERTISE HELPING TO DEVELOP KL’S CYCLING INFRASTRUCTURE

On Monday, 7 September, the Embassy, together with DBKL organized a seminar on cycling infrastructure. More than 150 participants from different city councils, representatives of the Malaysian cycling community, cycling NGO’s, federal infrastructure authorities and related companies watched interesting presentations from the Dutch companies and joined a lively debate. During the entire week an exhibition on Dutch cycling infrastructure was installed by the Embassy at the lobby of the Kuala Lumpur City Hall near Merdeka square.

Kuala Lumpur (KL) is the national capital and most populous city in Malaysia. It is among the fastest growing metropolitan regions in South-East Asia, in terms of population and economy. Like most cities today, KL is plagued by traffic congestion, cars being the main mode of community in KL.

Cycling in the Netherlands is enabled by the excellent cycling infrastructure (such as cycle paths, cycle tracks, protected intersections, numerous bicycle parking, and by making cycling routes shorter, quicker and more direct than car routes) available in most cities; it helps to encourage inhabitants to cycle.

The local government has been making a more concerted effort to change KL into a green city. Along with efforts to clean up their rivers, creating “green lungs”, and overhead walkways (to encourage workers to walk to meetings rather than drive), the local government has been looking at additional ways to make KL more people friendly and ease the traffic congestion.

Engineers Heijmans, consultants APPM and Witteveen+Bos and bicycle manufacturer Pon Holding, owner of brands like Gazelle, Cervelo and Union joined the fact-finding mission. To gain a more intimate look at KL and understand the city, the delegation joined Ambassador Molenaar and new KL Mayor Datuk Mohd Amin Nordin Abdul Aziz for an orangethemed bicycle ride during the car-free Sunday on 6 September, after which the KL cycling infrastructure facilities were explored (by bus).

Recently, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has been showing more attention to cycling with the organization of the biweekly car - free Sundays and the introduction of dedicated cycling lanes. Knowing this, the Netherlands Embassy invited a group of Dutch companies involved in bicycles and bicycle infrastructure in early September to visit KL. The Dutch are well known cycling enthusiasts. It is the go-to mode of transport in the Netherlands, with 31% of the people listing the bike as their main mode of transport for daily activities.

DUTCH WATER EXPERTISE As people in and around Malaysia will probably know, the country is coping with a lot of water issues; large river floods but also smaller urban floods. As the Netherlands has a lot of expertise in this field, it seems logical that there is a market for the Dutch in Malaysia. But is it really as straightforward as that? This is what the Embassy’s new intern, Joreen Merks (MSc student Water Management and Science Communication at the TU Delft), will be researching between August and December 2015. With her technical knowledge of water and background in communications she is going to look into the possibilities for the Dutch water sector in Malaysia. She will promote our expertise, look for partners in sharing knowledge and business and will try to get insight into the water sector in Malaysia. MDBCONNECTS 3RD ISSUE 2015

MY in NL RABO INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS DAY 2015 More than 400 entrepreneurs, 35 network partners and Rabobank advisers shared their knowledge and experience during the Rabo International Business Day in Utrecht on 8 September, making the RIBD one of the most important and practical events on international business and entrepreneurship. Organised for the fourth time, RIBD2015’s theme was “Your Business in 2020”, discussing what companies and entrepreneurs would need to do in order to be and continue to be successful internationally. Which international markets are promising to commence businesses and to focus on. Therefore a dedicated lunch session on ASEAN was included in this year’s program. Several experts shed their light on the developments in ASEAN and the potential for Dutch companies. After the welcome by Marcel van Doremaele (CEO Rabobank Singapore), H.E. Jacques Werner (Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Singapore) gave an introduction on ASEAN and the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). In his presentation ‘ASEAN:EU 2.0?’, Michael Every (Rabobank Asia’s Head Financial Markets Research) gave his view on what ASEAN’s priorities should be. ASEAN is certainly no EU, but offers huge opportunities.

PENGERANG DELEGATION IN ROTTERDAM PIJ Holdings Sdn Bhd (PIJ), a Johor government linked company, together with its subsidiary Perisind Samudera Sdn Bhd (PSSB) and a representative of Johor Petroleum Development Corporation, visited Port of Rotterdam last September. PSSB has been given the right to develop 800 acres of strategic land near Pengerang Integrated Petroleum Complex (PIPC). PSSB plans to develop a Pengerang Oil and Gas City (POGC) where the focus will be on commercial development and the support services for PIPC.

As PSSB is finalising its development masterplan, the purpose of the visit was to have a better understanding of the development phases, components and requirements of an Oil and Gas City such as Rotterdam. The Port’s briefing was conducted by ir. Willem Dedden (Senior Project Manager), Carlos Zepeda (Business Analyst) and Jaap van Dalen (Sr Business Manager Oil & Refineries). An important meeting between the ASEAN Dutch Chamber Network (ADCN, currently comprising of the Dutch Chambers in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia) and the Netherlands Council for Trade Promotion (NCH) took place to discuss increased cooperation with NCH’s relevant ASEAN Chambers in the Netherlands and the organisation of NCH-led missions to ASEAN for Dutch business delegations.

DIGI CYBERSAFE SCHOOLS Extracted from the BCSRM Newsletter DiGi publishes nationwide online safety survey report, Safety Net: Capacity Building among Malaysian Schoolchildren on Staying Safe Online. DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (DiGi), together with its CyberSAFE in Schools programme partners (Malaysian Ministry of Education, CyberSecurity Malaysia and Childline Malaysia), shared the results of the first nationwide survey on internet safety and digital resilience of Malaysian school children. The announcement was made at the launch of the National Survey 2014: CyberSAFE in Schools report, themed Safety Net: Capacity Building among Malaysian Schoolchildren on Staying Safe Online. DiGi’s CyberSAFE in Schools programme is a smart public-private partnership initiated by the Ministry of Education Malaysia, DiGi, CyberSecurity Malaysia and Childline Malaysia to create awareness and empower students and teachers with digital resilience skills to stay safe on the internet, and at the same time engage teachers and parents to help children learn about safe online practices and positive digital citizenship. The 2014 CyberSAFE in Schools survey gathered responses of approximately 14,000 schoolchildren nationwide who participated in the CyberSAFE in Schools workshops over a period of nine months. The survey, which examined several dimensions of internet-related behaviour: online safety, cyber-bullying, support networks and personal concerns, was tabulated and processed by Taylor Nelson Sofres Malaysia Sdn Bhd and analysed by education research experts, Professor Kuldip Kaur and Professor Karunathan Chinna. Respondents were required to respond to a list of questions, before and after the workshop. At the launch, Dato’ Mohamed Sharil Tarmizi, Chairman of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said, “The success of our National Broadband Initiatives has seen more Malaysians across the nation embracing the digital lifestyle and enjoying its benefits for both business and social purposes. Mindful of the increasing need to safeguard them,

Key Findings High risk factor 1: Although more than 80% of those surveyed view online safety as important, 40% of children do not know how to protect themselves on the internet. Comparisons between age groups show that children aged 15 or less are more vulnerable to risk than those between 16 - 19. High risk factor 2: 83% of children do not undertake a broad range of actions to protect themselves on the internet. 30% report that they either take no action at all, or take only one action toward online safety. High risk factor 3: 45% of all school children exercise low levels of online safety. Despite this, 52% say they feel safe on the internet. Another 38% are unaware of the need for multiple steps that can be taken to safeguard themselves on the internet.

Adult intervention 1: All age groups reported incidences of cyber - bullying, with 25% reporting that they have been bullied at least once. 45% prefer to disclose information about negative experiences to their parents, friends, and siblings. However, teachers, school counsellors, and public help - lines do not appear to be part of the main support system for talking about such incidents. There is a need to take measures toward increasing resources for children to get help if needed. Adult intervention 2: A number of children across all demographic variables reported that they did not have know - how about online safety and protection. There needs to be a concerted effort to harness the energy of the internet to highlight possible dangers that may arise due to the lack of knowledge, as well as to educate children, parents, and teachers about safety and protection.
