Locator Customer & Inventory Management System (CIMS)

New in version 3.4: Completely revamped sorting function, Upgraded picture uploading capability, Capture multiple email addresses for a contact

The industry’s leading account and inventory management system for over 20 Years!

Using an antiquated system? The Locator CIMS software enables you to capture customers, inventory, wanteds and manage quotes through the online interface. The hosted version will include the required SQL database and .NET (web) front-end. Your company would have a distinct URL (e.g., name.locator-cims.com) with each user assigned a specific login and password. The software would then be available from any high-speed internet connection.

Take advantage of these cutting edge capabilities: •

Use web interface that works like a website, using the same navigation logic so it’s easy to learn.

Capture customer information including contacts, contact information, machinery types, machines owned, quote history, custom search codes and more.

Record inventory details, location, photos, video link, quote and advertising destinations.

Quote machines with photo links directly in email messages.

Quote one or several people, or send information to a distribution list.

Add custom fields for customers, inventory and wanteds, as well as manage administrative settings and users.

Generate RSS feeds to populate your website and send information to advertising destinations like Locator.

AUSTIN D. LUCAS SCHOLARSHIP FUND

2018-2019 WINNER Emma Harris

The Austin D. Lucas Board of Trustees is honored to present the Austin D. Lucas Trust Award to Emma Harris. This prestigious award commemorates Austin D. Lucas’ many years of philanthropy and dedication to charitable works. Each year this award is presented to the scholarship recipient who best exemplifies Austin’s spirit of generosity and dedication to the service of others. “I am so grateful to have been selected as the 2018-2019 recipient of the Austin D. Lucas Scholarship. I am continuing my education at Bowling Green State University and will be pursuing my undergraduate degree in Business - Data Analytics and Intelligence. I am so appreciative that this scholarship will not only minimize the burden of college debt, but allow me devote personal time to volunteering and being active within my university’s community. As I am actively involved with the Red Cross Youth Council and have a passion for helping and volunteering with children, I am dedicated to continuing these actions into life as a college student and adult. Thank you to the MDNA and everyone who has donated to the Austin D. Lucas Scholarship Fund, my peers and I are forever honored to represent the MDNA by showing our gratitude at our universities across the nation. I hope that I can rightfully embody the Austin D. Lucas and MDNA names to the best of my ability at Bowling Green State University. Thank you always and Go Falcons, Emma Harris”

2018-19 RECIPIENTS

The Austin D. Lucas Scholarship Fund was started in 1983 by Austin D. Lucas, a machinery dealer, whose goal was to help fund the college education of children whose parents work for firms belonging to MDNA. Over the years the scholarship fund has grown through contributions of Austin’s fellow MDNA members. It is from this fund that scholarships are awarded.

MDNA’S

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD MDNA’s Lifetime Achievement Award is traditionally given at the Annual Convention, however the Committee felt that the 2018 recipient deserved to receive this honor in front of his hometown crowd. This well-deserved recognition was bestowed on Jack Boecher, of Raco Industrial Pictured: Jack and Glenda Boecher, Raco Industrial Corp. Corp. at the Chicago Chapter/IMTS Meeting, at the Radisson Blu, in Chicago, on September 14, 2018. MDNA Past Presidents John Conroy and Dan Strand presented Jack with this surprise. As the name implies, this award is to honor a lifetime of achievements and contributions to MDNA and the industry. Jack Boecher earned this award one day at a time in service to the MDNA and the used metalworking industry. Jack first joined the National Board in 1987, as the Chicago Board Representative. He served on every major committee and held National Officer position up to and including President from 1996 to 1998. Thereafter, he continued to serve as a Presidential Appointee until he retired from the Board in 2016. However, that was not the last of Jack Boecher’s national service. He continues, even now, to give his time and attention as a trustee for the Austin D. Lucas Scholarship Fund. It is a great honor to receive the MDNA Lifetime Achievement Award. The MDNA has come a long way in the past thirty years, and Jack said: “It has been a privilege to be a part of it. Like any volunteer association, you get out of it what you put into it. I strongly encourage all young members of MDNA to become active at your Chapter level and eventually at the National level. You will be amazed at the satisfaction you will gain from the hard work, the additional business it will bring you from increased exposure, and the life-long friendships you will make.”

Chapter Chairman of the Year 2017-2018

John Myers was presented the MDNA Chairman of the Year Award. Presented by Chapter Leadership Chairman Kevin Brewster, this award is designed to recognize an outstanding Chapter Chairman for their efforts, time and talent over the past year. The Chicago Chapter Chair position is one of the hardest chapters to chair because, as one of the largest chapters, it is very active throughout the year. John has done an outstanding job of organizing and rallying the chapter during his tenure. Additionally, during his tenure he has served a dual role, also serving as the Chapter Representative. In presenting the award, Brewster noted that the competition for this acknowledgment is fierce with all Chapter Chairmen serving their respective chapters diligently and enthusiastically.

In Memory of

John A. Josko

Our hearts are still broken over the loss of long-time MDNA, AMEA Member and dear friend to so many, John A. Josko. John was a man with a big heart and many passions. He had a deep love for his family, found great joy in sailing and was endlessly in the pursuit of educational opportunities to expand his mind and willingly shared that knowledge with others. It was this love for education that drove John’s close friends and colleagues to come together and generate not one, but two Austin D. Lucas Scholarship Fund Trusts in his name. At the MDNA Chicago Chapter/IMTS Meeting and Dinner, September 14, 2018; the Austin D. Lucas Scholarship Fund President Kristine Conroy, with the help from John’s longtime friend Casey Mulqueen, presented the Josko Family with a plaque memorializing this gift in John’s name. This gift of $10,000 established two John A. Josko Trusts that will ensure the continuation and growth of the Austin D. Lucas Scholarship Fund to provide higher educational opportunities for the children of MDNA Member Firm Employees and it will provide a lasting memory through the annual gift of education to students.
