BOARD REPORT HIGHLIGHTS, MAY 2016 The MDNA, AMEA and LOCATOR Services Boards of Directors met on May 4-8, 2016, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Public Relations Chairman Ed Krause reported that the committee has started planning for the Buyer’s Guide. Rates will be kept the same as last year. Additionally, the same discounts will be offered for those who sign up by August 1st. At the IMTS Meeting the committee will be auctioning off the inside front and back cover ad spaces. Also, they will be offering listings in a new special "75th Anniversary Supporters" section in the Buyer’s Guide and on the MDNA website. These ads will sell for $75 each. Mr. Krause encouraged all members to take advantage of the one free listing available to all members. Our Canadian advertising in the "Steel Marketplace" will be moving from print to online.

Convention Chairman John Conroy announced that the 2017 Convention will be held May 4-7 at the BoardWalk Inn at Disney World in Orlando, FL. The group room rate will be $239.

ADLSF President Kristine Conroy reported that ADLSF is doing well. She stated that they will be able to award $85,000 in scholarships this year. The deadline for applications is May 15th and the trustees will review the applications over the summer. Their decisions will be made in July and the students will receive their checks in August.

LOCATOR Services, Inc. President Brian Epstein reported LOCATOR will be doing a webinar in conjunction with the current MDNA webinar program. The webinar will be a marketing tool to promote the CIMS software and LOCATOR. The webinars will run once a quarter. Our newest feature in the book, the Specialty Section, continues to do well. Scott Buth will be contributing to the next Specialty Section (EDM.)

Webinars Craig L. Ward reported that the webinars program continues with great success. The committee is considering an abbreviated/mini webinar session that would last 15 to 30 minutes with a topic such as Sales Staff Training.

MDNA Auctions Immediate Past President, Ron Shuster, gave an update on the MDNA Auction partnership with Liquidity Services. One change to the program is that assets valued under $5,000 are sold absolute with no reserve. The upcoming sale dates are September 21st and December 8th.

AMEA President Jack Mendenhall reported: Membership is currently at 260. The Appraisers' Forum in March was very successful. He thanked Bob Yeoman and Meghan McLellan for making this event a great success. He also MDNA NEWS | PAGE 12
