A STUNNING RUBY SUITE We are absolutely delighted to introduce our stunning Ruby Suite designed by Christopher, Philip & Angus Carry with the help of Andreas Krieger of Hans D Kreiger.
Each of the 38 heart shaped rubies was carefully matched for colour and cut. The 76 round brilliant cut diamonds show a fantastic contrast with the intense red of the rubies. Because of the rarity of this intensity of colour and the necessity for such careful matching of the dimensions (height, width and depth), this project took an exceptionally long time to reach fruition.

The Greenwich is a superb example of the art of the British clockmaker. Exquisite craftsmanship, precision and innovation are the hallmark of this very fine wall regulator.
In the 18th & 19th century London lead the world in the technical advances in precision timekeeping - critical to scientific enquiry and regulating the new industrial age. This unique heritage is the inspiration of this superb English Regulator.
The skeletonised solid brass movements feature a dead beat escapement. Accuracy is enhanced by a temperature compensated pendulum based on an elegant design by John Ellicott in 1752. The movement has bull race bearings throughout and maintaining power as devised by John Arnold (1736-1799). A unique design of epicyclic gears allows the movement to be offered in 8 day and month going versions.
The movement is polished by hand and rhodium plated. Blued screws are featured throughout. The dial is silvered engraved brass and the time indicated with blued hands. A traditional Palladian design has been given a contemporary finish by combining the finest quality Makassar veneers with a black lacquer. Rhodium plated precision movement with dead beat escapement and temperature compensated pendulum. Hand finished Makassar and black lacquer cabinet with door locks. OYSTER PERPETUAL COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA When Paul Newman and his team achieved the GTS-1 class victory at the Rolex 24 At Daytona in 1995, the watch he was awarded at the end of the race was a Rolex Oyster Perpetual COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA chronograph. An appropriate trophy for a man who had worn this legendary OYSTER model since he developed a passion for motor racing in the early 1970s. The COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA accompanied him throughout his dual career as an actor and racing driver, becoming as durably associated with his name as with the Daytona race track. At BASELWORLD 2013, Rolex introduced a new prestigious version of the Oyster Perpetual COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA, the emblematic model launched in 1963, exactly 50 years ago this year. This legendary chronograph is for the first time entirely in 950 platinum, the noblest of precious metals. It is equipped with a chestnut brown monobloc CERACHROM bezel and an ice blue dial. CERACHROM BEZEL FOR MEASURING SPEED A key part of the COSMOGRAPH DAYTONA’s identity is its CERACHROM ceramic bezel with a tachymetric scale, making the watch the ideal instrument to measure average speeds of up to 400 miles or kilometres per hour. OYSTER PERPETUAL DAY-DATE When golf legend Arnold Palmer, known in golfing circles as the “King”, received the PGA Tour Lifetime Achievement Award in 1998 in recognition of his exceptional career, he was wearing a Rolex Oyster Perpetual DAY-DATE chronometer in 18 ct yellow gold. At BASELWORLD 2013, Rolex introduced a new version in 18 ct yellow, white or EVEROSE gold of the Oyster Perpetual DAY-DATE with luxurious colourful leather straps and matching dials. A symbol of excellence and prestige, always exclusively in gold or in platinum, the DAY-DATE was the first chronometer wristwatch to indicate the date and the day of the week spelt out in full on the dial when it was launched in 1956. Its elegance is now expressed in a more informal manner. The characteristically shaped middle case is crafted from a solid block of 18 ct gold. The fluted case back is hermetically screwed down with a special tool exclusive to Rolex watchmakers. The winding crown, fitted with the patented TWINLOCK double waterproofness system, screws down securely against the case. The fluted bezel is a Rolex signature aesthetic feature. The crystal, with a CYCLOPS lens at 3 o’clock for easy reading of the date, is made of virtually scratchproof sapphire. The waterproof OYSTER case provides optimal protection for the DAY-DATE’s high-precision movement. CALIBRE 3155, A SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER The DAY-DATE is equipped with calibre 3155, a selfwinding mechanical movement entirely developed and manufactured by Rolex. Like all Rolex PERPETUAL movements, the 3155 is a certified Swiss chronometer, a designation reserved for high-precision watches that have successfully passed the Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC) tests. Its design and quality manufacture provide peerless precision and reliability. The oscillator, the true heart of the watch, has a blue PARACHROM hairspring patented and manufactured by Rolex in an exclusive alloy. Insensitive to magnetic fields, the PARACHROM hairspring offers great stability when exposed to temperature variations and remains up to 10 times more precise in case of shocks than a traditional hairspring. LEATHER STRAPS AND GOLD FOLDING CLASP The straps of the new DAY-DATE combine the comfort and nobility of alligator leather with the convenience of a new 18 ct gold adjustable CROWNCLASP. This folding clasp is effortless to use and allows the length of the strap to be easily adapted.
