Designer Dana Tanamachi wasn’t even aware of the design element of typography until her first design class in college, but upon learning it’s importance, she immediately felt the call to it. Dana wanted to be one of the people with this form of influence in the world.
“The story behind your work is what counts the most�
Though she had gone to school for design, Dana Tanamachi’s work didn’t actually start gaining traction until after she had been asked to do some work for a friend’s Gatsby themed party with chalk. From there, talk of her talent spread via word of mouth, and people started reaching out to commission her work.
“I’ve always wanted to create work that has heart, soul, and guts...” says Dana. “If it all ended tomorrow, I’d still be content. I’m so humbled by the opportunities that I’ve already been given in my young career. I don’t take it for granted.”
