Pedro, do not believe everything you read on the Internet if not backed up by primary research! I stick to my guns, there was no blue colour paint ordered by the British Army in the North African campaign, there is also no mention of the colour Light Blue in any of the Colours & Markings Orders i.e. MEGO's, MTP’s or GRO's for the period 1940 to 1945 in North Africa. Believe me I have most of them after visiting the NA in Kew (UK), from Shane Lowell in Australia and also an extensive collection in the SA Mil Archives, I have also had extensive conversations with Mike Starmer in the UK about the subject. I have been able to trace and document the camouflage history to a large extent. 19 Pages in a timeline format.
The colour Azure is an RAF colour used for the undersides of RAF/SAAF aircraft in North Africa and was much darker than the examples shown on the model and profiles.
