The Mechanicsville Little League 9-10 year old girls softball team captured the 2010 Virginia State Championship on July 21 in Yorktown. Stellar pitching, team offense and defense secured the state title The Mechanicsville AllStar team went undefeated through district and state tournament games where they outscored opponents 92-7. They defeated Bridgewater Little League in their final game 9-2 to win the state championship.
