The Christmas season is celebrated as a time of community spirit and celebration, but it is also a time of individual tradition. Lois Millard’s Christmas decorations did not come from a matching set of holiday trimmings, and they certainly are not part of any designer collection intended to impress visitors with festive elegance. Millard’s decorations are an eclectic assortment of hand-crocheted stars, poinsettia wreaths and Santa figurines that have been found in various thrift stores throughout the years, and each decoration has a story. “I like old-fashioned decorations,” Millard said. “With a history to them.” Millard has been collecting Christmas decorations for over 40 years, since she first
