B
lake Bauserman, who will graduate as valedictorian with a 4.705 grade point average from Patrick Henry High School, plans to pursue a major in English or engineering at Virginia Tech. Salutatorian of the 2013 class is Lorenzo Bilbao, with a GPA of 4.592. Commencement ceremonies are scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, June 15, at the Siegel Center at Virginia Commonwealth University at 1200 W. Broad St. in Richmond. The son of Leroy Jr. and Dawn Bauserman of Beaverdam, Blake has been a member of the varsity track team for three years, the Patriot Watch News crew, Book Club,

Sure, there have been times when it’s been pretty frustrating, but I’ve been blessed with an amazing group of friends and family who have my back and are there whenever I need them. And honestly, the part that I’m most proud of, even more than my academics, is the fact that I’ve always found time to have fun.
