We are growing with the Swedish forest industry.

We are the leading port for forest products in Sweden.

In 2022, we handled over 1.4 million cubic metres of sawn timber in Varberg. This is the largest volume in the port’s history.

Compared to 2021, last year’s volume increased by 19 per cent. The success can be attributed to partnerships with new and existing shipping lines. Another main factor is the increase of construction in housing in our export markets. With this record, we show the strength of our logistics position and our employees’ expertise in forest products.

We have a strategic position along the West Coast of Sweden between Gothenburg and Copenhagen with near access to the E6 motorway and a wide range of railway shuttles connecting our customers with the port.

We are investing to become Europe’s most modern forestry port.

We are growing together with the Swedish forest industry and are building a new port to increase our capacity and ability to handle even greater volumes.

The biggest advantage of constructing this new Port area is its adaption to what we are best at – efficient handling of import and export flows of forest products. By building a new port, we can optimise driving routes, placing of buildings, use of terminal areas and our logistics flows.

For better efficiency, we are expanding the port area with new railway tracks. With a connection to the Swedish Transport Administration’s new railway yard, we can switch full-length trains into the port.

We are also preparing for increased digitalisation and electrification – with the goal of creating efficient and sustainable logistics solutions for our customers and a good working environment for our employees.
