Assembled on January 17, 1967 and sold new by Smith Brothers Chevrolet of Hammond, IN, this restored 1967 Chevrolet Corvette COPO convertible is serial number 108246 and COPO number S290C, the latter signifying its special-order color combination of Elkhart Blue paint with a Goodwood Green Stinger and Green interior – an unlikely sounding pairing yet one that works remarkably well in the real world. 1941 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL CABRIOLET
#259 OF 400 BUILT, AACA AWARD WINNER, RECIPIENT OF THE CARL F. BENZ AWARD
Conceived by Edsel Ford for use while vacationing at his Palm Beach, Florida winter holiday estate, the Lincoln Continental was based on the Lincoln Zephyr and executed by designer E.T. “Bob” Gregorie, who sought to fulfill Edsel’s wish for a “thoroughly continental” automobile, including a feature that would become widely popular in the 1950s: an externally mounted spare tire that was referred to as a “Continental kit.” The result of Edsel’s vision and Gregorie’s design skills was a
styling and engineering triumph that still pleases the senses today. Built in the second year of production on February 11, 1941, this elegant Continental Cabriolet is number 259 of a total of 400 produced. The subject of a five-year restoration to factory specifications, this brilliantly finished and arduously detailed classic moves under the power of the marque’s turbine-smooth flathead V-12, here mated to the desirable Borg-Warner 3-speed transmission with overdrive. Now in addition to earning an AACA
award, the car was a recipient of the Carl F. Benz Award at the 2011 Geneva Concours d’Elegance held in Geneva, IL.

1932 FORD 3 WINDOW COUPE
ALL STEEL BODY, BELIEVED TO BE ONE OF BOYD CODDINGTON’S FIRST BUILDS
This historically significant 1932 Ford 3 window coupe is believed to be one of the late Boyd Coddington’s very first custom builds and his personal driver, and its every detail speaks to the vision and craftsmanship that were hallmarks of Coddington’s work. Finished in brilliant Coddington Yellow, the all-steel, real-deal coupe has been retrofitted with early Coddington wheels, otherwise remaining as it was first completed. It is in perfect show condition, featuring a Brown interior with hand-tooled upholstery,
a gorgeous burled wood dash with gold-plated instrumentation, leatherwrapped Boyd Billet steering wheel on a tilt column, power side and rear windows, swing-out windshield, Vintage Air and AM/FM stereo with remote; there is even a functioning rumble seat. 302 cubic inches of Ford Cobra V-8 power reside under the louvered engine cover, driving power through a modified C6 automatic to a 3.50:1 geared Ford 9-inch rear axle. And of course, there is plenty of the chrome and polished billet for
which Boyd was famous. An almost guaranteed “Best of Show” winner, this 1932 Ford 3 window coupe by Boyd Coddington is one of the best all-steel ’32 coupes in the world, and will attract new fans every time out.

1949 MERCURY WOODY
$95,000 - $135,000
MERCURY FLATHEAD V-8, STANDARD 3-SPEED, MOSTLY ORIGINAL WOOD
• RESTORED LOW MILEAGE CAR • SPECTACULAR INTERIOR WOODWORK • GREEN LEATHER UPHOLSTERY • FITTED WILTON WOOL CARPETS • 4-BARREL CARBURETOR • TUBE HEADERS
While the only immediately obvious departure from original on this stunning 1949 Mercury Woody station wagon are the American Racing Salt Flat Special wheels and radial tires, there is much more to the car than first meets the eye. A restored low-mileage example of Mercury’s famous E.T. Gregorie design, it is more than a restoration in the strictest sense of the word; it is rather a wholesale transformation of the original into a genuine objet d’art using only the very best materials. With the exception of the mahogany door inserts, it retains all the original
wood from trees grown by Ford Motor Company at its Iron Mountain, MI timber operation, all of it refinished to the same quality as Rolls Royce woodwork. The body was repainted in its original shade of Berwick Green, again finished to lustrous Concours quality. The same approach went into the interior, which features supple Green leather upholstery, fitted Wilton wool carpets, impeccable chrome and brightwork and spectacular graining in the dash. There is more artistry under the hood in the car’s performancebuilt Merc flathead V-8 equipped with
polished-and-painted finned aluminum Edelbrock heads, polished aluminum intake, 4-barrel carburetor and tube headers. Beautiful, powerful and a treat to drive, this 1949 Mercury Woody wagon typifies the quality of every vehicle in the Rick Davis Collection.

A complete nut-and-bolt frame-off restoration was performed on this allmatching-numbers 1962 Chevrolet Corvette convertible. The body was stripped down and refinished with PPG Roman Red lacquer following the same application as the factory original finish. That same approach was taken in maintaining authentic finishes and detailing throughout the car, including replacing all fasteners and applying all the correct factory markings. Restoration of the interior included new Red upholstery by Al Knoch and refurbishing of the gauges
by a professional specialist. The engine compartment and its resident 327/360 HP Rochester fuel-injected small block are correctly detailed, as is the spotless and authentic undercarriage, which shows the car’s 4-speed and off road exhaust. A oneowner Corvette for the last 25 years, its restoration is photographically documented in great detail.

1942 FORD SUPER DELUXE CONVERTIBLE TWO-TIME NATIONAL SENIOR AACA CHAMPION
At the outset of American involvement in World War II, Detroit’s automotive giants turned their massive resources over to military production, all but leaving automobile manufacturing behind. In Ford’s case, its annual turnout fell from 600,814 cars in 1941 to only 160,211 in 1942, making even its best sellers quite rare today. This extremely rare 1942 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible is one of approximately 2,920 built. A nicely appointed museum-quality vehicle in impeccable
condition, it has been through a frameoff restoration at a cost of $80,000, and has been twice rewarded with AACA National Champion laurels. Mirrorlike Burgundy paint and chrome, a pristine Tan interior and Black fabric top combine for a classic presentation that is enhanced by chromed bumper wings and guards, wide Whitewall tires and bright hub caps and trim rings. Ford’s 221/96HP Flathead V-8 is mated to a 3-speed manual transmission, with a radio and clock
rounding out the interior appointments. This uncommon, and uncommonly beautiful, wartime-built Ford is offered with a copy of the previous title from 1955, the original owner’s manuals, tools, jack, spare mat and other extras.

1970 PLYMOUTH SUPERBIRD
V-CODE 440 SIX PACK, 4-SPEED, DOCUMENTED WITH ORIGINAL BROADCAST SHEET
Plymouth issued its answer to the highwinged, aero-nose 1969 Daytona in 1970 with the Superbird, which Plymouth superstar Richard Petty unleashed on his NASCAR competitors with one of the most dominant seasons on record. While similar in appearance to the Daytona, the Superbird was unique, with a longer, more aerodynamic nose and a more steeply raked rear wing that combined for high top speed and
arrow-straight directional stability on NASCAR’s superspeedways. Part of that great legacy, the 1970 Plymouth Superbird offered here is the product of a complete nut-and-bolt restoration to factory as-new condition. A matching numbers example, it is one of 665 equipped with the 440/390 HP Six Pack engine, in this case mated to a 4-speed manual transmission feeding a factory Track Pack Dana 60 rear end with 3.54
gearing. Listed in the Chrysler Registry, it is finished in iconic Vitamin C Orange with a Black interior and the requisite Black vinyl roof, and includes Rallye road wheels, factory bucket seats with center arm rest, full instrumentation including 150 MPH speedometer and Tic-Toc-Tach, pedal dressup and AM radio. Documentation includes the original broadcast sheet and retains it’s original fender tag. SATURDAY

The quality of this car is such that it has earned the Shelby Originality Award, one of the highest honors available in the Ford collector hobby. Its Raven Black exterior is matched by the Black Deluxe Décor interior
that was standard equipment on the Boss. Additional equipment includes a front spoiler, trunk-mounted 85amp battery, high-back bucket seats, Deluxe seat belts with warning light, AM radio and center console, TractionLok differential, power steering and front disc brakes, Visibility group, competition suspension and colorkeyed racing mirrors. This 1967 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is an unrestored, alloriginal collector’s dream machine. Not surprisingly, it is also a multiple award winner, having earned Bloomington Gold Benchmark and NCRS Top Flight certifications. It has even been affirmed legitimate by Al Grenning of Classic Car Affirmation Service, LLC. It is one of only 1,096 finished in attractive Elkhart Blue, in this case matched with a Teal Blue interior whose excellent condition is attributable to the fact that the car has been driven a mere 8,000 miles

Power comes courtesy of the L71 Tri Power-equipped 427/435 HP big block engine driving a 4-speed manual transmission and 4.11 rear end – the ultimate powertrain offered that year (with the obvious exception of the race-ready L88). In 1965, Chevrolet built only 771 Corvettes with the L84 327/375 HP fuel injected V-8, and just 41 coupes with the N03 36-gallon fuel tank; only a handful were produced with both features. This 1965 Stingray coupe is one of that exclusive group of superrare Corvettes. It was originally raced in the U.S. before being shipped to Peru, where it was raced extensively. It was later returned to the U.S. and skillfully restored to factory-original condition. Finished in Tuxedo Black with a Black leather interior, it is equipped with a
4-speed manual, Teakwood steering wheel on a tilt column, power steering and power brakes, and original finned aluminum knock-off wheels, Goldline tires and exhaust system. 1956 CHEVROLET CORVETTE RESTO MOD
ALUMINUM 414/700 HP, DOUG NASH CLOSE RATIO 4-SPEED WITH A PERFECT FIT & FINISH
At first glance this 1956 Chevrolet Corvette convertible appears to be a superbly restored example with a very desirable combination of Onyx Black paint and Red interior, practically perfect fit and finish and Concoursquality detailing, all of which are immediately evident. But turn the key in the car’s dash-mounted ignition switch and this classic solid-axle Vette roars to life with an unusually sharp bark that settles down into an authoritative rumble not usually associated with Chevrolet’s legendary small block
V-8. The source of this cognitive dissonance resides under the hood in the form of an aluminum Milodon 414 CI small block that generates an astounding 700 HP at 9,000 RPM. With a Doug Nash 4-speed close ratio manual transmission and a 4.11 rear end with hardened axles handling the output, this outstanding “stealth” Resto Mod boasts incredible performance.

1962 CHEVROLET CORVETTE BIG BRAKE TANKER
327/360 HP, FUEL INJECTION, 4-SPEED, DOCUMENTED WITH EXTENSIVE RACING HISTORY
Tom Mazzola, 29, did not know what he really had when he drove his 1962 Corvette home from the dealer in 1966. It wasn’t long before he realized he had one of the hottest cars off the assembly line – a “Sebring” model in the parlance of the day with a rare amalgam of competition options that made it a terror on the SoCal racing scene for over a decade with Mazzola behind the wheel. In 1976, Mazzola sold the car, which at the time was in need of an engine rebuild and some cosmetic attention, to fellow Corvette racer Gene Layne, who
described the car’s exceptional nature for Vette Magazine in its January 1998 issue saying, “It’s the unique options that make this car special. There were only 1,918 cars built with the RPO 582 327/360 HP engine. And because of the 24-gallon fuel tank, the required hard top was offered without a soft top due to the tank’s intrusion into the storage area. Also rare are the 15.5x5inch-wide wheels; only 561 cars were so ordered. And the Heavy Duty brakes and steering appeared in only 246 cars.” Mindful of the car’s history and value,
Layne had the original Fuelie engine professionally rebuilt and recreated the original paint scheme of Roman Red with Black scallops in quality Ditzler lacquer after completely stripping the car down to the original fiberglass. Presented exactly as Tom Mazzola discovered it 47 years ago, this prominent SoCal Big Brake Fuelie Tanker is offered with extensive racing history and photographic documentation of its restoration.

1969 FORD MUSTANG BOSS 429 FASTBACK ALL ORIGINAL AND UNRESTORED WITH ONLY 2,648 MILES
Built in limited numbers with the purpose of homologating its radical new 429 CI “Semi-Hemi” engine for NASCAR competition, the 1969 Boss 429 was the meanest factory Mustang ever built to that time. The 429 engine had all the juicy pieces needed to conquer NASCAR’s daunting superspeedways: a forged steel crank, four-bolt main bearing caps, forged steel rods, and huge, free-breathing aluminum heads with crescent-shaped combustion chambers. A Ram-Air-fed Holley 735 CFM 4-barrel carburetor,
high-rise aluminum intake and a radical cam pushed power well past the 375hp factory rating. Serial number KK1806, this 1969 Boss 429 Fastback coupe is an amazing unrestored example with just 2,000 miles on the odometer. Factory finished in Royal Maroon with a Black Deluxe Décor interior, it is entirely original down to the White-lettered Goodyear Polyglas tires and factory exhaust. It is optioned with a front spoiler, trunk-mounted 85-amp battery, high-back bucket seats, Traction-Lok differential, power

1961 CHEVROLET CORVETTE BIG BRAKE TANKER
283/315 HP, FUEL INJECTION, 4-SPEED, BLOOMINGTON GOLD SPECIAL COLLECTION, TRIPLE CROWN AWARD
According to automotive photographer Bob Blanchard, this 1961 Chevrolet Corvette was sold new at Quality Chevrolet in Oaklawn, Illinois, prepared for racing at Nichels Engineering in Highland, Indiana, and raced in SCCA competition in 1961. It was rediscovered in an Illinois garage in 1989 by Elmer Lash, who recognized it as an exceptionally rare big brake/big tank/ Fuelie car. Lash immediately offered to buy the car and two weeks later it was his. A fouryear restoration commenced, and the
car was completed on May 25, 1993. Three days later it scored 98.1 at a regional NCRS meet, the first of a seemingly unending string of awards that includes repeat Bloomington Gold, NCRS Top Flight and Duntov awards, the Chevrolet Vettefest Triple Crown, and in 2001, a place in the coveted Bloomington Gold Special Collection. Finished in the classic combination of Ermine White with a matching hard top and Red interior, this historically significant C1 Corvette retains all the
original pieces: the RPO 354 283/315 HP V-8 with correct Rochester fuel injection, Borg Warner 4-speed, 4.11 Positraction rear end, Heavy Duty Brakes and Suspension, 15x5.5-inch painted wheels with passenger car hubcaps and Blackwall tires. Before Ford shocked the world of drag racing with its now-famous Cobra Jet Mustangs in 1968, company management had to be shown the way to dominance on the strip by none other than Bob Tasca, who challenged Dearborn with his version of a lightweight Fastback powered by a 428 CI FE big block engine specially built by Tasca’s engine expert John Healey. The car took on all comers at the Ford test track, impressing the brass enough that they uncharacteristically ordered a series of 50 purpose-built lightweight
Mustangs using two versions of the 428 Cobra Jet engine: one for Super Stock/E with 11.6:1 compression and a solid lifter cam; and the other for C/ Stock set at 11.0:1 and employing a somewhat milder hydraulic cam. The 1968 Mustang Lightweight Cobra Jet offered here is one of the 11 cars sent to Tasca Ford. It is completely restored to factory-delivered specification with the 428/335 HP Cobra Jet Ram Air engine, 4-speed Toploader transmission and Traction-Loc differential. WELL DOCUMENTED SURVIVOR, BLOOMINGTON GOLD CERTIFIED, ONE ORIGINAL OWNER FOR OVER 42 YEARS
One of 199 produced, this unrestored and original, matching numbers 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 coupe is the car that GM featured in its promotional literature relaunching the Z06 fixed roof coupe in 2001. In addition to having been displayed at the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky through 2000 and 2001, it is highly decorated, winning Bloomington Gold and Survivor Certification in 2010, the NCRS Top Flight Award in 2002 and the Chevy Vettefest Bowtie Award in 2000. A one-owner car for almost
its entire life, it boasts the Z06-specific combination of 327/360 HP V-8 with Rochester fuel injection, 4-speed close-ratio manual transmission, 3.70 Positraction rear end (changed when new from the factory-installed 4.10 gearset), special heavy duty suspension, sintered metallic powerassisted drum brakes with forward self-adjusters, front cool-air scoops and internal cooling fins, and 6.70x15 wheels with 4-ply Whitewall tires. It is finished in the original Riverside Red and still sports the White racing stripes
and chromed wheel covers added by the first owner a few days after he took delivery of the car from Jack Schwartz Chevrolet of Elizabeth, Illinois on August 14, 1963. Documentation includes the original dealer invoice.

This Acapulco Blue 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is a rare example indeed: a beautifully preserved unrestored original with a believed-correct 17,000 miles on the odometer and full documentation that includes the original invoice, warranty card, original drive out tag, metal dealership tag and an Elite Marti Report. Last licensed in 1982, it is also accompanied by a report issued by the Boss 302 Registry listing the car’s body style, trim code, VIN and engine number, transmission and rear axle, paint code,
optional equipment, overall condition and production date, in this case July 1969, making it one of the last 1969 Boss 302s built. Like all Boss 302 Mustangs it incorporates the 302/290 HP engine, front disc brakes, quickratio steering and special suspension, a front spoiler, special cooling package and Magnum 500 wheels with F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas raised White letter tires; it has also been optioned with a close-ratio transmission, 3.50 TractionLok differential, power steering and brakes, Sport Slats, console, tinted
glass, color-keyed racing mirrors, an AM radio, tach and trip odometer. The car retains mostly original paint and all original components are still intact, from major items such as the complete interior, engine pollution controls and spare tire to equally important details like the factory shifter and shift knob, exterior and interior chrome and stainless steel trim, making this a true dream machine for the Boss Mustang enthusiast.

1966 FORD MUSTANG GROUP 2 SCCA A/SEDAN RACE CAR
#12 OF ONLY 16 BUILT BY SHELBY AMERICAN, PURCHASED BY JOHN McCOMB, RACED FROM ‘66-’69
This 1966 Ford Mustang Group II A/ Sedan racer is number 12 of 16 built by Shelby American to compete in the SCCA Group II amateur racing series created in concert with the professional Trans Am series. Based on the Mustang GT, these cars shared much in common with the GT350, including a Shelby-built 289 CI engine with an aluminum high-rise intake manifold and 715 CFM Holley 4-barrel carburetor, Borg-Warner close ratio 4-speed, Detroit Locker rear end, high-
capacity fuel tank with quick-release filler, heavy duty front disc and rear drum brakes, Koni shock absorbers, heavy duty oil cooler and radiator, 15x7 American Racing wheels and more. Invoiced August 24, 1966 to Turner Ford in Wichita, Kansas, this car was purchased by John McComb and raced from 1966 to 1969, during which it won both the Pan American Trans-Am at Green Valley, TX and the Continental Divide SCCA National in 1966 and appeared on the December
1966 cover of Sports Car Graphic Magazine. It was purchased by Keith Thomas in June of 1967, who finished second in the 1967 SCCA A/Sedan Midwest Region behind McComb. The following year it set the A/Sedan lap record at the Lake Afton SCCA National. It eventually disappeared for 28 years until it was discovered in a Texas garage, after which it was completely restored to the original 1966 specification, one of nine known remaining examples.

1967 CHEVROLET CORVETTE COUPE
427/435 HP, 4-SPEED, BODY-OFF RESTORED AND DOCUMENTED WITH TANK STICKER
Introduced in 1966, the new 427 CI engine was a major success with Corvette buyers, who opted for one of two versions in a total of 10,374 coupes and convertibles. Flush with that success, Corvette returned in 1967 with the now-legendary 427/435 HP Tri Power engine, the perfect blunt instrument for street supremacy and a sight to behold with its chromed triangular air cleaner and massive valve covers. This freshly restored 1967 Sting Ray coupe embodies that formula in its Tonawanda-built (“The
Number 1 Team”!) Tri Power engine and 4-speed manual, in this case sans power steering and brakes for straightahead performance. Gleaming Elkhart Blue paint, a complementary Teal interior, bolt-on aluminum wheels with Redline tires and a super clean undercarriage combine for a great presentation in this tank-sticker documented mid-year gem.

The car retains its original V-code 440/390 HP Six Pack engine, heavy duty New Process

1962 CHEVROLET CORVETTE RESTO MOD LS3 376/480 HP, AUTOMATIC WITH C4 SUSPENSION
It continues to amaze that such widely divergent generations of Corvette can be melded seamlessly in a well-conceived Resto Mod, and yet here is another fine example of that phenomenon: a 1962 Corvette convertible whose details span the years from its assembly at the St. Louis plant to the C4 generation of 1984-96. A freshly-completed build, its foundation is a custom tubular steel frame powder coated to match the Torch Red paint that clothes the fiberglass body. Occupants are
coddled in custom heated seats whose Red leather covering replicates the seating surfaces of C5-generation Corvettes; Red leather is also used on the dash pad, door liners and steering wheel rim. In keeping with the car’s overall quality, the LS3 GM 376/480 HP crate engine, auxiliary components and engine compartment are clean and all of a piece. Riding on C4 suspension fitted with C5 disc brakes, C5 chromed wheels and low profile Sumitomo radials, this well executed ’62 also comes with power steering
and brakes, air conditioning, 4-speed automatic and AM/FM radio.

• VERY NICELY RESTORED • RACK AND PINION STEERING • DUAL SU H8 CARBURETORS • DUAL EXHAUST • CLEAN, STRAIGHT BODY • SHOW QUALITY PRESENTATION
This 1957 Jaguar XK140 roadster was ordered from the factory with the optional C-Type cylinder head that raised output of the car’s XK120 Special Equipment-spec engine from 190 HP to a healthy 210. The C-Type cylinder head option also included 2-inch sand-cast H8 carburetors, heavier torsion bars and twin exhaust pipes, resulting in markedly improved overall performance. This splendid matching numbers genuine C-Typecylinder head XK140 is believed to be a California car from new. The car is very nicely restored and comes
complete with a near-perfect top and a Heritage Certificate. The car shows no evidence of rust now or having ever repaired for any rust. The original tack welds are still evident and no new welds of any sort are present. Every nut and bolt on the underside of the car can be turned without difficulty. As a result of considerable restoration investment, the car looks and drives superbly at this time. The engine is well tuned and makes good power and the brakes and suspension work very nicely. The gearbox also works well and the car is an unusually good
driving example. The car is in excellent cosmetic condition and a very high quality driver. It is nice enough to show. The body and chassis are exceptionally straight and free of any structural corrosion.

1963 PONTIAC TEMPEST LEMANS 421 SUPER DUTY FACTORY EXPERIMENTAL LIGHTWEIGHT, 1 OF ONLY 6 PRODUCED
After Mickey Thompson and Royal Pontiac dominated Super Stock and A/FX in 1962 with their own speciallyprepared Tempest racers, Pontiac Motor Division took direct aim at the NHRA’s Factory Experimental class, building 14 special lightweight Tempest racers – six LeMans coupes, six station wagons and two standard coupes. Built on December 12th, 1962 at the Pontiac, MI assembly plant, the purpose-built LeMans coupes were all painted White and given Blue interiors with bucket seats.
Following in Thompson’s footsteps, Pontiac Engineering endowed the cars with high compression, dual quadequipped 421 CI Super Duty engines connected to unique rear-mounted 4-speed automatic transmissions. All used aluminum front sheet metal and brake drums, acid dipped bumpers and mounting brackets and lightweight windshield glass, resulting in almost perfect 48/52 weight distribution while keeping the cars in line with the NHRA’s 7.5 pounds-per-cubic-inch A/ FX class weight limit.
One of the six built, this Tempest LeMans coupe was delivered to Stan Long Pontiac on Grand River Road in Detroit. Driver Stan Antlocer campaigned the car through a busy and successful 1963 season that included the all-important Indy Nationals. Along the way he made an important change to the car; the 4-speed transaxle accommodated only up to a 3.90 final drive ratio and was somewhat prone to breaking under the 421’s explosive power, so Antlocer replaced the factory driveline with a heavy duty Borg
WHERE THE CARS ARE
Warner 3-speed manual transmission and a full-size Pontiac rear end with a 4.30 gearset. The change paid off in spades, earning Antlocer the title of “World’s Fastest Tempest” after tearing off an 11.93 ET at 123.95 MPH at U.S. 131 Dragway in Martin, MI. This record-setting Pontiac factory lightweight Tempest was restored by Scott Teimann’s renowned Super Car Specialties in Portland, MI to its configuration as originally raced by Stan Antlocer, including the 421 Super Duty engine with dual inline Carter 4-barrel carburetors and unique exhaust headers built by George
DeLorean, 10-inch M&H Racemaster slicks on Black painted steel wheels and graphics proclaiming Stan Long Pontiac sponsorship of the “World’s Fastest Tempest.” It holds an honored place in Pontiac’s storied drag racing history and stands as a tribute to the forward thinkers at Pontiac Engineering and racers like Stan Antlocer who competed with their creations in the heat of that era’s great A/FX battles.

1953 CHEVROLET CORVETTE ROADSTER
BLOOMINGTON GOLD CERTIFIED IN 2009 & RECIPIENT OF THE NCRS DUNTOV MARK OF EXCELLENCE AWARD
Corvette made its public debut in January 1953 at the 1953 GM Motorama held at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. Production began in June of that year in a pilot production facility in Flint, Michigan, where the cars were largely assembled by hand. The surviving examples constitute the rarest Corvettes of all, and while America’s Sports Car has come a long way, the first Corvettes remain among the most sought-after by collectors.
Winner of Bloomington Gold Certification, multiple NCRS Top Flight Awards and the NCRS Duntov Award, this 1953 Chevrolet Corvette roadster is serial number 93 of the 300 examples built in the historic first year of Corvette production, and one of fewer than approximately 125 to 140 known to exist today. Restored in the mid 1970s and again in the early 2000s, it is finished in iconic Polo White with a Sportsman Red interior and Black soft top and powered by
Chevrolet’s 235/150 HP “Blue Flame Six” fitted with triple Carter sidedraft carbs and mated to a Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission. One of the finest first-year Corvettes anywhere, it is documented with ownership history dating to 1975.

Finished in Dark Blue Metallic with White sill stripes and a Black Deluxe interior, it is equipped with the modified 428 CI Police Interceptor engine with dual 600 CFM Holley carburetors, a C6 automatic transmission and Detroit Locker rear end, outboard driving lights and E70x15 Goodyear Speedway 350 raised White letter tires mounted on Shelby 10-spoke wheels. 428/335 HP, 4-SPEED, FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING, SOLD NEW TO THE DuPONT FAMILY
1968 saw two important developments in Shelby’s roadgoing GT lineup. A convertible model became available to the public for the first time, and in early April the regular production 428 CI V-8 gave way to the new 428 Cobra Jet. Rated at only 335 HP, it actually produced over 400 HP at 5400rpm and 440 lb/ft of torque at 3400rpm. The new Cobra Jet incorporated revised 427 low-riser heads with larger intake and exhaust valves, the competition 427 intake manifold, 735-cfm Holley R-4174 four-barrel carburetor, an
oilpan windage tray and a functional Ram-Air induction system. To mark the change to the new engine, the GT500 was renamed GT500KR for King of the Road. This sterling 1968 Shelby GT500KR convertible was sold new to a member of the famed DuPont family. The accompanying full Marti Report documents the car as one of only 50 finished in Highland Green and one of 57 GT500KRs built with both a 4-speed manual and air conditioning. In all only 5 KR convertibles had this combination of color and equipment.

1970 PLYMOUTH ROAD RUNNER CONVERTIBLE
NUMBERS MATCHING V-CODE 440 SIX PACK, 1 OF ONLY 14 AUTOMATICS PRODUCED
It took nine years to complete the restoration of this jaw-dropping 1970 Plymouth Road Runner convertible. That’s a long time by any measure, but a job worth doing is worth doing right, and the job here was to restore the car to literally factory original condition, and that meant countless hours scouring the land for genuine NOS parts. The result is that this car is arguably the finest example in existence. Needless to say, it is entirely matching numbers and correctly date coded, right down to such seemingly pedestrian items as the alternator, distributor, spark plug
wires and engine drive belts. This is also an exceptionally rare car; it is one of just 14 Road Runner convertibles combining the V-code 440/390 HP Six Pack engine and Torqueflite automatic transmission, and it is the only one issued from the factory finished in Tor Red with a White-on-Black interior. It is optioned exactly as it left the factory with power steering and power front disc brakes, full gauges including TicToc-Tach, remote driver’s mirror, light package, bucket seats and console, solid state radio, 3-spoke woodgrain steering wheel, 3-speed wipers,
performance hood paint, chrome exhaust tips, Dust Trail body side stripe and 15-inch Rallye road wheels with Goodyear F60-15 Polyglas GT tires.

1957 CHEVROLET CORVETTE BIG BRAKE FUELIE 283/283 HP, 4-SPEED, ONE OF ONLY 51 BUILT WITH RPO 684 OPTION
This is truly a RARE find. The year 1957 is considered by many to be a high-water mark in Corvette’s history. Corvette’s transformation into a true high-performance was evidenced by RPO (Regular Production Option) 684. This package included wider wheels, stiffer springs, bigger shocks, quick ratio steering, cerametalic brake linings, vented brake plates and numerous revised components. Significantly, only 51 1957 Corvettes were built with the RPO 684 option.
For the ultimate road race-ready Corvette, Chevrolet offered for the first time RPO 579E, the Duntov high-compression, solid lifter 283/283 HP fuel-injected engine and a rather complicated arrangement of ducts that fed outside air to the engine’s intake and to the brakes at all four wheels. Beginning in May of 1957, the optional 4 speed transmission became available and this car was spec’d with it. To assist in getting power to the ground, this car also came with a limited slip differential called “Positraction”.
Fit and finish of the body panels and mechanical reliability improved in 1957 and it is evident in this example built with the RPO 684 option, which is sharply finished in Venetian Red with a Red interior and Beige soft top.

In 1962 the ultimate roadgoing production Corvette incorporated a plethora of performance features tested in the crucible of SCCA and FIA competition, led by the larger displacement 327/360 HP small block V-8 and the RPO 687 “Big Brake” package developed in such high-speed endurance races as Sebring, Daytona and Le Mans. Formerly owned by such prominent Corvette collectors as Irwin Kroiz, Tony Zagorski, and Terry Michaelis, this Sateen Silver convertible is factory equipped with
the Rochester fuel-injected 327/360 HP engine, Borg Warner T-10 4-speed, off-road exhaust and both soft and hard tops. 1955 CHEVROLET ZL-55 RESTO MOD
GENUINE ALUMINUM ZL1 427 CI ENGINE, 5-SPEED, 2012 DETROIT AUTORAMA GREAT 8 FINALIST
There is simply no other 1955 Chevrolet like this Red 2-door hardtop known as ZL-55, a masterpiece of the rodder’s art that earned a coveted Great 8 Finalist position at the Detroit Autorama in February 2012. Built from an original 2-door body, it was completely stripped and dipped in rustproofing compound, then the customization process commenced. By the time its Strawberry Red PPG paint was applied it had been treated to a plethora of custom touches ranging from smoothed sheet metal
to recontoured wheel well openings, custom floor and trunk pans, inner fenders, firewall and dash panel. The car’s spectacular finish, which extends to the undercarriage, trunk and engine compartment, is described by its owner as “gun-barrel straight, slick as glass and looking10 foot deep.” The same craftsmanlike approach is evident in the custom leather interior, a masterfully executed environment of Tan leather and polished billet hardware designed and installed by the Recovery Room in Plattsmouth, NB.
Rolling on highly polished deep dish billet wheels wearing smooth-sided rubber, the chassis is based on a modified frame built by the Roadster Shop and fitted with a Currie rear end with a body color center section and triple chrome plated axle tubes, chromed driveshaft, body color Tremec 5-speed and chrome plated bell housing, which leads us to the inspiration for the car’s “ZL-55” moniker: no garden-variety Chevrolet big block V-8 would suffice for such a completely over-the-top machine

COMPLETELY RESTORED ONE OWNER CAR WITH ONLY 18,053 MILES
Austin-Healy 3000 production ended in 1967 after 8 years of sales and competition success. Derived from the original 100 Six, the 3000 reached its final configuration in the Mark III version, a 2+2 convertible with a 2.9 L/148 HP inline-6 engine. The “Big Healey” was a tough, durable roadster ultimately capable of 120 mph. It was also one of the most beautiful sports cars ever built, in Britain or anywhere else, with racy, curvaceous styling that has held up extremely well over the ensuing years. That evaluation
perfectly describes this exceptional 1967 3000 Mk III convertible showing a believed-actual 18,053 miles. A one-owner car from the friendly climes of West Virginia, it has been completely restored to its present asnew condition, finished in the very attractive mixture of Metallic ice Blue paint, Blue interior with White piping and Dark Blue fabric soft top. Purists will appreciate such details as the car’s Silver-painted Dunlop knock-off wire wheels and Road Speed RS5 tires, comfortable bucket seat cockpit

1991 FERRARI TESTAROSSA
EXTREMELY WELL-PRESERVED WITH ONLY 630 ORIGINAL MILES
Ferrari resurrected an old and familiar name when it introduced the new Testarossa at the 1984 Paris Motor Show, a complete clean-sheet design that immediately polarized the motoring press and automotive industry designers, whose evaluations ranged from outright rejection to unfettered admiration. But the market showed no such ambiguity; brisk demand reflected public acceptance of what designer Sergio Pininfarina described as the car’s “exaggerated flamboyance.” And flamboyant it
certainly was, with pronounced fluted sides, upswept rear fenders and wide rear bodywork, but the engineering and wind tunnel testing that shaped the Testarossa also gave it astonishing performance. A far more refined machine than its predecessor, the 512BB, the Testarossa retained that car’s mid-mounted flat-12 engine layout while adding 4-valve heads, Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and other mechanical upgrades to produce 390 HP, making the new Testarossa the fastest production car in the world.
The innovative benchmark against which all contemporary sports cars were measured, it literally defined the supercar in its 11 years of production. One of 7,200 built, the sparkling Blackon-Black 1991 Testarossa offered here is powered by the famed 4.9 L/390 HP flat-12 engine and is an astonishingly well-preserved example with a mere 630 miles of service.

group of 427 Cobras, this sparkling White roadster was completed at AC Cars for delivery directly to Ford Advanced vehicles in Slough, England. As such, it was never invoiced to Shelby American and did not show up in American DMV records. Factory equipped with Smiths gauges, a hardtop, 428 engine and Sunburst wheels, it was purchased new by a Mr. Franck of Paris, France, who sold it to GT40 owner Jean-Pierre Van Den Doorn, also of Paris. Van Den Doorn placed it in his private collection and
the car was seldom seen for years, until it was sold to The Vintage Car Store in Nyack, NJ in August 1977. It then went through the hands of Kirk White and then Larry Megibow, who sold the car along with a substantial bank lien to Dan Turman in 1979. In 2001 CSX3301 was completely restored by HRE Motors in Freeport, NY, who returned it to its original White with Blue stripes, Black side pipes and chrome roll bar, and it remains the same today, with the odometer

ROTISSERIE RESTORATION SCORING 999 OUT OF 1000 POINTS AT THE CHEVY WINTERNATIONALS
It was one of the best-looking muscle cars of its era – or any other for that matter – and the 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 had the power and performance to back up its muscular styling, its crucial ingredient the 302 cubic inch small block under the cowl induction hood. While factory rated at 290 horsepower, the 302 combined a heavy duty rotating assembly with 11.0:1 compression, high-flow heads
and a Holley 850 CFM 4-barrel atop a tuned aluminum intake to power out 400 horses in contemporary dyno testing. The pristine 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 offered here is a genuine code-X77 car built at the Norwood assembly plant. The subject of a frame-off rotisserie restoration completed at a cost of $200,000, it is in absolutely impeccable condition and beautifully finished in Olympic

1969 CHEVROLET COPO CAMARO
427/425 HP, 4-SPEED, “HOOSIER HELL” DRAG CAR WITH ONLY 67 MILES
GM’s corporate policy limiting engines to 400 cubic inches in all but its fullsized cars was countered in 1969 by dealers working with Chevrolet product mastermind Vince Piggins. Piggins shepherded a special car, the COPO 9561Camaro, through the corporate maze. A simple combination of lightweight baseline SS 396 Camaro and the powerful L72 427/425 HP big block, at least 201 COPO 9561 Camaros were built for the dealers’ “special” customers who wanted the extra tenths a 427 version would shave off their elapsed
times in Stock and Super Stock. One such customer was Kris Mahen of New Castle, Indiana, who transformed his new 1969 COPO Camaro into “Hoosier Hell”, a Dover White 4-speed that eventually held the IHRA World Record in B/Stock. Never street driven and still sporting its original Red interior, the car has been skillfully returned to the plain-wrapper state it was in when delivered new from Queen City Chevrolet in Cincinnati, Ohio, but with one very significant difference: today the speedometer shows just over
67 believed actual miles, almost all of them added to the car in quarter-mile increments. Like all COPO cars, it is equipped with F41 suspension, heavy duty Muncie 4-speed and a 12-bolt Positraction rear end. 1971 CHEVROLET CORVETTE ZR2 CONVERTIBLE
LS6 454/425 HP, 4-SPEED, BLOOMINGTON GOLD HALL OF FAME, 1 OF 2 PRODUCED
Corvette aficionados take note: this Ontario Orange 1971 Stingray convertible is not only one of just 12 Corvettes built that year with the ZR2 Special Purpose LS6 Engine Package; it is one of only two convertibles and is in fact the very last of Corvette Chief Engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov’s factorybuilt extra-high-performance specials, an august group that includes the original 1963 Z06, the 1969 ZL1 aluminum block L88 and the ZR1 Special Purpose LT1. As the very last of the so-called Z-cars, it holds an exclusive position as one
of the most historically significant cars in General Motors history. Rarer than even the vaunted L88, the ZR2 was a one-year-only production package comprising the best high performance components available from the factory: a dual plate clutch, M22 “Rock-Crusher” 4-speed manual transmission, J56 dual-pin heavy duty power brakes, F41 heavy duty suspension with special springs, shock absorbers and front and rear stabilizer bars and a heavy duty aluminum radiator without shroud. Power steering, automatic
transmission, radio and air conditioning were not available as options. Documented by its GM Shipping Data Report as exported by GM Overseas Distribution (dealer code #1 in zone 79), this car was built on May 25, 1971 and was shipped to its first owner, an American living in Germany; it was returned to the United States in the early 1980s. It has been body-off restored to immaculate condition and was inducted into the Bloomington Gold Special Collection in 1999, the Bloomington

Gold Corvette Hall of Fame in 2003 and was part of the National Corvette Museum’s Concours d’Performance Exhibit. In addition to its LS6 454/425 HP engine, it is optioned with aluminum heads, shoulder harnesses, auxiliary hardtop, 3.55 Positraction differential, A.I.R. smog controls, aluminized exhaust, Soft Ray tinted glass, Rally wheels and Blackwall tires. This historically significant Zora Corvette is also accompanied by prodigious documentation that includes the twopage tank sticker, build sheets and owner history.

1970 CHEVROLET EL CAMINO LS6
ORIGINAL 454/450 HP, 4-SPEED, DOCUMENTED WITH PARTIAL BUILD SHEET
While Chevrolet marketed the 1970 El Camino as its own model, it was Chevelle through and through from the seats to the front bumper, enabling performance-oriented buyers to choose any engine up to and including the mind-numbing LS6 454/450 HP big block that could propel the El Camino to 13-second quarter mile times at over 100 MPH. Such are the credentials of this aggressive-looking El Camino SS, which has been completely restored to its original factory specifications by
the estimable Jen-Jacs Restoration in Savannah, GA, who also rebuilt the original LS6 engine to the same exacting standards. Correctly finished in Tuxedo Black with White SS striping and a Black bench seat interior, the car is equipped with a close ratio Muncie M22 “Rock Crusher” 4-speed and a racy 4.10 Positraction rear axle to maximize the LS6’s incredible 500 lb-ft of torque. It additionally features power steering and brakes, a cowl induction hood with hood pins, Super Sport 5-spoke wheels with Firestone
Wide Oval tires, full SS gauges and an AM radio, and is documented with a partial build sheet discovered during the restoration.

368 CI V-12, STANDARD 3-SPEED WITH 47,481 MILES
Cadillac set new standards in the early 1930s, producing cars that collectively are today considered the epitome of the Classic Era and enjoy full CCCA Classic status. The company completed its multi-cylinder engine lineup in 1931 with the beautifully sculpted new V-12 OHV engine, engineered by Owen Milton Nacker concurrently with the V-16 and every bit as much of an aesthetic success. It also delivered smooth, free revving performance and 135 HP, leading
to the decision to have one pace the 1931 Indianapolis 500. That vaunted engine powers this very rare 1931 Roadster, one of only approximately 90 produced. Restored a number of years ago, it remains exceptionally fresh in Cream with Brown fenders and Tan interior, rumble seat and top. 1969 CHEVROLET BALDWIN MOTION PHASE III CHEVELLE SS WELL DOCUMENTED, 1 OF ONLY 2 BUILT BY MOTION PERFORMANCE
Some of the most outrageous muscle cars ever to hit street or strip were the product of the partnership between Baldwin Chevrolet of Baldwin, NY and Joel Rosen’s Motion Performance, who together made a reputation putting big block engines into factory V-8 Chevy products. The wildest of these transformations was the Phase III package, which came with a written money-back guarantee of specific quarter-mile performance signed by Rosen. None were ever returned on that basis, yet Phase III cars were also
completely streetable and reliable. This 1969 Baldwin Motion Phase III Chevelle SS coupe is one of only two built. Finished in Burnished Brown with a White vinyl roof and Parchment interior, it is first identifiable by the big block midyear Corvette-style Stinger hood installed as part of the Phase III package and the Motion center caps on its American Racing Torque Thrust wheels. Showing just 39,000 miles, this rare Chevelle is the only remaining matching numbers example built in 1969. It is also the
best-documented Baldwin Motion car on the market, and is accompanied by the original invoice, build sheet, Protect-O-Plate and letters of authenticity from Joel Rosen.

1963 PONTIAC TEMPEST 2-DOOR WAGON
434/785 HP, AUTOMATIC, FORMALLY FROM THE RANDY WILLIAMS SUPER DUTY COLLECTION
There is literally only one 2-door 1963 Pontiac Tempest station wagon in the world, and this is it, the fascinating result of a twenty-year pursuit by the late Randy Williams to build the ultimate “no holds barred” test bed for his Pontiac racing engines. Williams worked with his friend and fellow Pontiac stalwart Scott Tiemann to put together this unique machine employing state-of-the-art techniques and a 434 cubic inch, 785 horsepower engine. Built with fiberglass fenders, hood and front
bumper, Lexan windows and sturdy but lightweight chrome moly tubing, the finished car weighs in at just 3,150 pounds and dashes to sub-10 second elapsed times at 135 MPH. Built at a cost of over $180,000, this is more than “just” a drag racer; it is a unique styling exercise that showcases the vision and talents of its builders and brims with the sort of details that set a car-guy’s heart aflutter. Scott Tiemann describes the car as “absolutely gorgeous. It’s
as beautiful on the bottom as it is on top. When you look at the bottom or inside the fenders- there’s lots of chrome under the car.” And plenty more to admire throughout, from the fabulous Burgundy paintwork, cleanly executed interior and detailed chassis to the dual-quad, tunnel ram “mountain motor” nestled in its smoothed and sanitary engine bay that bears Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick’s stamp of approval. Pontiac authorities and enthusiasts
WHERE THE CARS ARE
alike have heaped acclaim on the car, which was featured in the JanuaryFebruary 2002 issue of Pontiac Enthusiast Magazine and has been awarded the High Performance Pontiac Magazine Gold Award of Excellence. In Tiemann’s words, this beautiful car was built “for someone who appreciates show car looks with race car performance.”

1967 CHEVROLET CAMARO RS/SS
L78 396/375 HP, 4-SPEED, ROTISSERIE RESTORATION, DOCUMENTED WITH ORIGINAL BUILD SHEET
Chevrolet wasted little time giving prospective buyers the performance they were looking for in the new-for-1967 Camaro, adding the 396 CI engine option in November of that year. Rarest of all was the L78 396/375 HP engine ordered in just 1,138 of the almost 221,000 1967 Camaros. Available only with a manual transmission, the combination produced startling performance in the relatively lightweight Camaro, making it an instant contender in Stock and Super Stock drag racing. It was even more formidable in street
use, and was the perfect weapon to have in reserve even in upscale models like the RS/SS coupe offered here. Built at the Los Angeles assembly plant, this nicely optioned RS/SS coupe has received a full nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration while maintaining a high level of originality, including the complete driveline. While the original block was decked before being rebuilt to return it to correct tolerances, all component casting numbers and date codes are true to the car, including
the smog system, carburetor, heads, intake manifold, alternator and water pump. The car also retains its original sheet metal and dashboard, stainless steel trim, traction bar, door panels, tach and gauges, console, shifter and AM/FM radio. In addition to the SS and Rally Sport option packages, the car is equipped with power brakes, Rally wheels and Redline tires, Z87 Custom Interior and D55 console with U17 Special Instrumentation. 1968 CHEVROLET CORVETTE L88 CONVERTIBLE
1 OF 2 FACTORY RED/RED L88 EXAMPLES PRODUCED, ONE OWNER CAR UNTIL 2008
Finding a genuine original Corvette L88 is always a Big Deal; production was 20 in 1967, 80 in 1968, and 116 in 1969, for a total of 216. And by most authoritative estimates, fewer than half of those still in existence have been located and confirmed. Those facts alone make it worth the 20 years it has taken to find and restore the “Bounty Hunter”, a 1968 L88 convertible owned and raced by Ronnie Reid Joyner on the roads and highways of the Southeast corridor from the day he flew it off the rail car
that delivered it from the factory until he retired it in 1980. Along the way Joyner and the Bounty Hunter took on all comers, racing for money and bounty and always coming out on top. Then in May of 1980 after a night of racing and carousing, he slid the car into a sandbank on his way into his driveway. He put it in first and tried to power out; according to Ronnie the clutch finally exploded with such force that he was fortunate that was the only casualty of the night.
Joyner erected a garage to store the Bounty Hunter - psychedelic paint job, fender flares and all – with the intention of restoring his beloved, all-conquering beast, but the years can flash by quickly, and when the car was rediscovered late in 2008, it was described as the kind of car “that somebody would walk past at a swap meet. [If] it didn’t say anything about L88 and just had 15 grand on the windshield, nobody would buy it. [It] looked like a dried-up cow chip on four wheels.” Nonetheless its provenance
WHERE THE CARS ARE
was a practical certainty, and the car was purchased on September 24th, 2008 from its one and only owner of 40 years. On November 7th, 2008, the car was inspected and certified by David Burroughs, Gary Nabers, Kevin J. Mackay, John Ballard, Tom Christman, Terry Michaelis, and subsequently Chuck Berge on November 22nd, 2008. Its authenticity confirmed in writing by the hobby’s top experts, it was off to Houston where famed Corvette specialists Ken and Gary Nabers and crew performed their magic over the winter of 2008-09.
Since its first post-restoration public appearance in April 2009 the gloriously restored L88 convertible has won numerous Bloomington Gold, NCRS and Concours d’Elegance awards, including Best in Class at the 2009 Keels and Wheels Concours d’Elegance and inclusion in the 2009 Bloomington Gold Special Collection. The Bounty Hunter is one of only two 1968 L88s finished in Rally Red with a Red interior and White soft top. It is equipped exactly as ordered by Joyner with a Muncie M22 4-speed, G81 Positraction rear end, J50/J56 Heavy Duty power disc brakes, K66 Transistor Ignition, F41 Heavy Duty
Suspension, N11 Off Road exhaust, A01 Tinted Glass, A.I.R. Smog Control system and Rally wheels with PT6 Red Stripe tires. It is accompanied by volumes of documentation that include several large 3-ring binders, a photographic record of the restoration, over 7 hours of professionally-made High Definition Video with sound (including footage of Ronnie Reid Joyner in his natural Florida habitat) and all awards, certificates, judging sheets, invitationals, ribbons and owner’s manual packet, all of which are on display at Mecum Auction headquarters in Kissimmee, FL. 1967 PLYMOUTH RO23 BELVEDERE
DUAL QUAD 426 CI HEMI, AUTOMATIC, 1 OF 55 RO23 RACE CARS PRODUCED
Competition in NHRA Super Stock racing was at a fever pitch by the mid-1960s. The factories continued to trade blows with ever more radical specials to meet the demands of their team drivers, and in 1967 Plymouth upped the stakes, introducing a limited-production lightweight drag racing package for the Belvedere, the RO23. Fifty-five 2-door hardtops were built to meet the NHRA’s Super Stock/B class rules, all powered by the 426 CI Hemi backed by either a 4-speed manual transmission or a
Torqueflite automatic, the latter fitted with the 8¾ rear axle housing with 4.86 final drive. The cars were shipped sans sound deadener, radio, heater and front sway bar; the hood wore a large fresh air scoop, thin rubber mats replaced the standard carpeting and the battery was relocated to the trunk behind the right rear wheel well to aid traction. This RO23 Plymouth Belvedere lightweight from the Joe Amato Collection is a splendid example with the correct and recently rebuilt 426 race Hemi, equipped with
dual 4-barrel carburetors and dynotuned to 544 HP (the original factory 4-barrels have been restored and come with the car). Finished in showquality White paint over all-original sheet metal, it wears evocative painted steel wheels with “cheater” slicks and narrow rubber on American Torque Thrusts up front.

1969 CHEVROLET COPO CAMARO
427/425 HP, 4-SPEED, 1 OF 1 COLOR COMBINATION, WELL DOCUMENTED
1969: A lot of good things came out that year, including one of the mightiest Camaros ever built – the COPO 9561. Shepherded by Chevrolet marketing guru Vince Piggins through GM’s maze of corporate restrictions on engine size, the COPO 9561 conferred upon a usually plainJane SS396-spec Camaro almost supernatural power in the form of Chevy’s cast-iron L72 427/425hp big block engine. Because so many were used as they were intended – that is to say, raced – engine attrition
was not uncommon, and now finding one with its entire original driveline intact is quite uncommon indeed, a historical fact that puts the example offered here in a very exclusive club. In fact, the entire driveline is original to this car. Adding to that exclusivity is its one-of-one combination of Olympic Gold paint and Dark Green interior. Like all COPO cars, it is equipped with F41 special purpose suspension, a heavy duty Muncie 4-speed and a 12-bolt Positraction rear end, its old-school sleeper
appearance lightly spiced by its cowl induction hood and front and rear spoilers. This exceptional muscleera classic benefits from quality GM Canada documentation and comes with the original order sheet, bill of sale, window sticker, Protect-O-Plate, and owner’s protection booklet.

1956 PACKARD CARIBBEAN CONVERTIBLE
AN UNRESTORED ORIGINAL, DRIVEN JUST OVER 50,000 MILES SINCE NEW
This unrestored, almost entirely original 1956 Packard Caribbean convertible is number 268 of just 276 built that year, and it is in impeccable cosmetic and mechanical condition, having been driven just over 50,000 miles since new and never being exposed to the elements; in fact, it has never even been left outside overnight! Its original paint – a unique triple serving of Dover White, Scottish Heather and Maltese Grey, has had only minor touch ups over the years to keep it in pristine condition.
The original 374/310 HP engine is fitted with dual Rochester 4-barrel carburetors and mated to a pushbutton automatic transmission. It has been disassembled and all clearances found to be well within factory tolerances, with almost no visible wear to bearings and other mating surfaces. Many other components have also been examined for originality and correctness, including the reversible seat cushion covers and convertible top, whose lining is upholstered to match the interior
- an interesting feature exclusive to the Caribbean. Both are proven original and in excellent condition but were nonetheless substituted with meticulously-made duplicate replacements; the original pieces will be included with the sale. Every component on this outstanding example works just as it did the day it left the factory, including the clock, radio, self-adjusting suspension and power antennas.

1972 FERRARI DINO 246 GT
2418 CC, 5-SPEED, RECENT PAINT, INTERIOR AND SERVICE
After showings in Paris and Turin as a non-running prototype, the first production Dino, the 206 GT, appeared in 1967 at the Turin auto show. It was the first mid-engine production car from Ferrari – albeit without any Ferrari badges or other identification – powered by a 2.0 L DOHC V-6 engine transversely mounted just ahead of the rear axles. For 1969, the Dino received a larger and more powerful 2418 CC engine and a 5-speed manual transmission, its reported 146 MPH top speed
and race-inspired handling quickly impressing Ferrari enthusiasts. With production limited to approximately 2,800 GT coupes in total through 1974, the Dino 246 GT is the type of car that can anchor any serious collection; it is also a quick and agile performer that is an absolute joy to drive, especially on tight, winding roads where its exceptional balance makes it the equal of almost any contemporary exotic. This striking 1972 Dino 246 GT is formerly part of a prominent Texas collection with
recent Rosso Corso paint and a new Tan leather interior with desirable Daytona-style seats and a Becker Europa stereo radio. The 2.4 L/195 HP V-6 engine has been serviced, including rebuilding its three twinchoke Weber downdraft carburetors, and is in great condition.

What a marvelous rendition of a genuine milestone Corvette: presented in the beautiful and rare combination of Arctic Blue paint with a Red interior and White soft top, this stunning 1957 Corvette convertible is the product of a complete frame-off restoration that now shows just 246 test miles since its completion. 1957 was a big year for Corvette, with an increase not only in engine displacement but also in the number of engine options, from the previous year’s single offering to a total of six, including four Rochester fuel
injected units and the most powerful carbureted version driving this car – the RPO469C 283/270 HP small block with dual Carter quads on an aluminum intake manifold. Also equipped with a Borg Warner T-10 4-speed, aluminized off-road exhaust, heater, seat belts, courtesy lights and wide Whitewall tires, it has been completed with all new paint, interior, soft top, chrome and stainless trim.

NUMBERS MATCHING L79 327/350 HP, 4-SPEED, 1 OF 200 PRODUCED
The license plate says it all: “L79 SS”, denoting its most important feature, the rare one-year-only L79 V-8. The most powerful non-fuel-injected small block built by Chevrolet, the L79 327/350HP V-8 is distinguished by its exclusive dual-snorkel chrome air cleaner, which tops off a Holley 4-barrel on an aluminum intake and is flanked by chromed Turbo-fire valve covers. A special Duntovdesigned cam, high-flow heads and 11:1 compression complete this free-revving little powerhouse,
which required a 4-speed and 12-bolt rear end. One of only 200 built, this Black-on-Black SS coupe has been completely restored with all periodcorrect components and retains the complete matching numbers drivetrain as documented on the original Protect-O-Plate. The quality of this rare machine is superb, enough to earn it Best Restored honors and the CASI Award at the 2010 Boston World of Wheels, Best of Show at the 2005 Canadian Nationals in Ontario and Best of Show and Vehicle of

1954 CHEVROLET CORVETTE ROADSTER
THE FAMOUS “ENTOMBED CORVETTE”, 2,331 ORIGINAL MILES, BLOOMINGTON GOLD SPECIAL COLLECTION
This 1954 Chevrolet Corvette roadster is the famous “Entombed” Corvette removed from a brick vault inside a Brunswick, Maine grocery store once owned by local businessman Richard Sampson. A successful and somewhat eccentric man who built a chain of 33 grocery stores, ran for governor and served as a Senator from Maine, Sampson bought the car new in 1954 and drove it until 1959, when he took it to the construction site of a new store in Brunswick and had workmen enclose it in a brick-and-mortar vault.
He originally left orders in his will that the car remain sealed in brick until the year 2000, but later voided the will before he passed away in 1969. The car first came to the public’s notice when automotive writer Ken Gross wrote about it in Special Interest Autos Magazine, thinking he would have to wait 25 years to tell the rest of the story. But in 1982 the building was purchased by Brunswick auto dealer Frank Goodwin with the proviso that the car be removed by the expiry of the existing lease in 1986. When
the time arrived, the Corvette was liberated once again by Sampson’s daughter Cynthia, who watched as workers removed the outside wall brick by brick. Although the moisture in its enclosure had caused the car’s Polo White paint to yellow and blister over time, the tires still held air and the chrome, top and interior were still in remarkably good condition. Cynthia Sampson then moved the car, by then a celebrity in the Corvette community, to her home in Daytona Beach, Florida, where it remained in her living

room for the next ten years until its purchase by a Corvette collector who pledged to preserve it rather than restore it. In 1996 the car made its first appearance in the Bloomington Gold Special Collection in Springfield, Illinois, where it was displayed in honor of Richard Sampson, Sr. with Cynthia Sampson in attendance. Today this amazing piece of Corvette history remains probably the lowest mileage unrestored Corvette in the world, still with the 2,331 miles that were on the odometer when it finally again saw daylight 27 years after its entombment.

1955 FORD RESTO MOD
427 SOHC, 5-SPEED, ART MORRISON CHASSIS, PROFESSIONALLY BUILT BY BOBBY ALLOWAY
Penned by award-winning automotive and industrial designer Eric Brockmeyer, this prizewinning Resto Modded 1955 Ford Sunliner convertible is all attitude. Brockmeyer’s design guided 2011 Autorama Builder Of The Year Bobby Alloway in his initial mock-up of the car to establish its overall look before shipping it to Harbor Auto Restoration in Florida for the building and final completion. Body modifications include the grille, parking lights and taillights from a 1956 Ford, reshaped
and smoothed bumpers and a ¾-inch chop to the windshield and top. Street Seats of New Port Richie, FL gets the nod for the classy Red leather interior that features a custom dash with a 1956 Mercury cluster by Classic Instruments and a small-diameter reproduction of the original steering wheel by Greening Auto. Perhaps the most fascinating item in the mix is the rare Ford 427 SOHC engine built and dyno-tuned by Keasler Racing and Machine in Maryville, TN. A trophy all its own, the 427 is backed by a
Keisler 5-speed and a 9-inch Winters rear end. The Art Morrison frame incorporates coil spring suspension, large 4-wheel vented disc brakes and unique billet aluminum wheels specially made for Alloway by Boyd Coddington.
