Featuring a large variety of over 60 boats, Mecum’s Geneva Lake Boat Auction has a vessel to fit everyone’s taste and budget - from thousand-dollar row boats to rare, several hundred-thousand-dollar Chris-Crafts. The auction is the day after the Annual International Antique and Classic Boat show Sept. 23-24, 2011, and several boats will first participate in the show and then run across the auction block on Sunday. From selling rare wooden classics to multiple award winners, Mecum is proud of it’s reputation for selling high-quality collectible boats.

1940 Chris-Craft 27’ Triple Cockpit Racing Runabout - The one remaining example of only two produced. The fastest and largest model in the highly-collectible Chris-Craft “Barrelback” series of runabouts - Rare Chris-Craft A-120-A Race Engine, a 375 HP, 845 CI; only three of these engines exist today - 52 MPH (Advertised speed was 50) - Top-of-the-line in 1940, and the most expensive at $6,290 - Many top awards - 15 hrs. since comprehensive and lengthy restoration in 2007 - All new planking (bottom, sides & deck) - Complete and extensive engine rebuild, with concealed modern carburetion and ignition systems for ease of operation - New emerald green leather upholstery in the original color and style, using leather reproduced by the original supplier - Birdseye maple dash, blue & beige instruments - Period-correct twin Ivalite spotlights and siren - A “thrill ride” boat on Lake Arrowhead, CA in 1940s and ‘50s

1986 Wellcraft 38’ Scarab KV 38 - This was the first boat Wellcraft sent to Universal Studios for use in its then hit show Miami Vice and was used in all aspects of filming the show. - Later, this boat became the camera platform for most “in cockpit” filming - 38 feet long - Complete bow to stern restoration including all wiring electronics, controls, engines and outdrives - Engines are twin 565/650HP GM blocks - Capable of 80+ MPH. - Alpine Stereo, Flat screen TV, Fridge and Head - Triple axle Eagle trailer and is ready to go
