Biology AT A GLANCE
Students also take courses in general chemistry, organic chemistry, and mathematics. Graduates from this program move on to medical school, dental school, pharmacy school, graduate school, advanced veterinary training, and into government and industry. Graduates of Medaille’s associate degree in Veterinary Technology may transfer into the Biology degree program without loss of any credits.

Core courses include: biostatistics, botany, cell biology, ecology, epidemiology, genetics, and microbiology. With electives like immunology, animal behavior, herpetology, ichthyology, ornithology, mammalogy, and organic evolution, students can easily sample all aspects of the biological sciences, or specialize in one narrow area.
MAJOR:
Biology is the study of life in all forms – from microscopic amoebas on the surface of Lake Erie to the ecosystem of the entire planet. Rigorous training in biological theories, biomedical procedures and environmental studies are the hallmarks of our Biology program.
