The Neighbourhood Parkland is a quiet, well treed and friendly community located in South-East Calgary. Bordered by Lake Bonavista and Deer Run to the north and east, much of Parkland overlooks Fish Creek Provincial Park, which provides a beautiful natural setting enjoyed by residents of all ages. The foyer, which is included with the main hall in rental packages, provides a large space in front of the kitchen, suitable for buffet serving or simple mingling. With large south-facing windows this foyer provides a welcoming space for guests.
The Parkland community hall provides a range of facilities and amenities to the neighbourhood. To the south, a large grassy area hosts 4 soccer fields, plus one field with lighting. The hall contains a bright, hardwood floored main area, a kitchen, and a carpeted meeting room, all available for rental. Parkland also boasts a thriving community garden, located next to the hall itself.
Main Hall The main hall is an airy, bright room with west and south facing windows, with capacity for 90 people. This is a simple, attractive space with hardwood flooring, and is the perfect location for a friendly, personal function such as a wedding or family birthday.
The meeting room is separated from the rest of the facility, and constitutes a separate rental unit. Suitable for small meetings of up to twenty people, it comes with tables and seating as required, and contains a mounted whiteboard and podium.
Kitchen The kitchen, also included in hall rentals, is in the domestic style and contains a stove, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, urns and sink. A large inner window links the kitchen to the foyer, providing a serving area or bar.
