While Catholic schools are not public schools, they also are not private schools.

In situations where students feel unsafe or there are concerns about their safety, teachers and staff work with Townsville Catholic Education’s Student Protection department to manage these matters, provide referral pathways when needed, and connect schools and families with resources and external support required.
