New MLTFX DVE pre-size functionality The pre-size functionality now has three states. There is now a dropdown menu instead of a simple tick box.
There are 3 presize settings: 1: Pre-size on: "pre-size" In this mode the F1 page "Apect Conv" (box/cut) setting is used to control sizing to fit the source media size to the render format size. 2: Match pixel for pixel horizontally: "match x" In this mode image pixels are matched 1 to 1 horizontally from the source media size to the render format size. 3: Match line for line vertically: "match y" In this mode image lines are matched 1 to 1 vertically from the source media size to the render format size. Aspect ratio is maintained in all cases.
Ability to delete MLTFX and Effects custom resolutions Previously it hasn’t been possible to delete a custom resolution from the MLTFX and Effects canvas size / render resolution menu. Customer resolutions will now have a small x in the top right of the combo box when hovered over with the pen or mouse, allowing them to be easily deleted.
Note: The custom resolution cannot be deleted if it is currently active. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Ability to delete fonts from the list in Text As above this is also now possible with the font list in Text.
The currently active font cannot be deleted.
3 point editing change option to extend the timeline There is a new F1 option called ‘auto timeline extend’.
When checked this will automatically extend the timeline when editing a clip onto it. Marking just an in point on the timeline and then having a marked up (in and out) source clip on the Desktop and editing this in will extend the timeline to the correct duration. Also simply dropping a clip onto the end of the timeline will extend to the correct duration when this option is checked. This is similar functionality to dropping into the clip widget window.
R3DSDK upgraded to V4.5 The RED sdk has been updated to V4.5. This now supports the import and soft mount of 6K files from the new RED Dragon camera. It also supports the RED Rocket-X card for used with the 6K files. Note: Red Rocket must install driver v.1.4.36 or higher for compatibility with 4.5, also the firmware needs to be v1.1.3.0 or higher. Red Rocket-X requires firmware v1.2.21.4 or higher, and driver version v2.0.7.0 or higher. The RED Rocket-X card does not currently support RED One files.

AVCHD Import Panasonic AVCHD (.mts) files can now be imported with PCM audio.
Note: Dolby AC3 audio and soft mount not currently supported
Export trim size changes for resolutions not divisible by 8 or 16 This feature is about controlling the export trim sizes for resolutions that are not supported on the 1832 to 1828 registry setting. On import we pad <2k images to 8 pixels and >2k by 16. The export trim 1832 to 1828 registry setting only supports 6 sizes. Rather than having all these numbers hard coded in a text file can now be used in the Data directory to store its padded to unpadded trim sizes providing for greater flexibility. On first boot the existing numbers will be written to: C:\Data\User\exportconfig\exporttrimsizes.txt The user to add to or modify the existing entries as and when new requirements arise. As indicated in the new file, the entries should be included in the following format: <padded width>, <unpadded width>, one line at a time, for example: 1832, 1828 # optional comment The default file will include the following lines: # Trim sizes file for removing padding on export. # List sizes in format <padded width>, <unpadded width>, one line at a time, for example: 1832, 1828 # optional comment 1832, 1828 # Film Academy Offset 2000, 1998 # DCP 1998 * 1080 2096, 2088 # Arri Aperture 2880 * 1620 2288, 2276 3664, 3656 # Academy 4K 4000, 3996 # DCI 4K Cropped

Addition of QShare QShare has been a feature of other Quantel post products for some time. The addition of QShare to Pablo Rio allows those customers who require it to share flattened files between machines. History is not retained as the QShare function is about being able to send flattened media peer to peer rather than going through an export and then import process via 3rd party storage.
To setup QShare you need to know the computer name or IP address of the machines you wish to send from and to. ‘SrcServer’ is the machine you wish to send from and ‘TgtServer’ is the machine you wish to send to. More information on the setting up of QShare can be found in the Media Bins manual available on the support resources website.
Fettle Improvements The fettle graphs have improved colour visibility making adjustments easier.
