STAR chefs are looking forward to a giant food festival this summer. Foodies Festival will return for its tenth year on May 4 to 6 with a predicted 25,000 people set flock to Hove for the event. They will be met with a range of tasty treats as well as activities including celebrity cooking demonstrations, drink masterclasses and chilli eating contests. MasterChef 2018 winner Kenny Tutt, who is soon to open his first restaurant in Worthing called Pitch, is one of the chefs at the festival. He said: “There’s so much more to opening a restaurant than I thought but we are on target to open towards the end of May. I’ve cancelled most appearances but have kept Foodies Festival in the diary because I love it so much. It’s on my home turf and Brighton foodies are such a great bunch.” Former Great British Menu winner Michael Bremner who runs the kitchen at the 64 Degrees restaurant in Brighton, will also attend. He said: “I’m all about social dining and the festival gives me a chance to interact with food lovers from all over the country. I’m a regular and really looking forward to it.” Both chefs will appear in the “Chef ’s Theatre” alongside other talented cooks from the Brighton area.
