Standby for the Olympics ■ The Nine Network is being wise in not over-promoting of Eddie ‘Everywhere’ McGuire in its Olympics coverage which starts at 5.30am this Saturday with the Opening Ceremony. The Hot Seat compere will share the chair with Leila McKinnon for the spectacular lighting of the cauldron to commence the London 2012 games. They will be joined by Ken Sutcliffe. McGuire stopped off in Paris earlier this week, flying to Europe immediately after Collingwood’s loss. He will still be broadcasting his Hot Breakfast radio program daily for MMM listeners.
