● ‘Hope’, a young female Eastern Grey Kangaroo, would not leave the side of her companion ‘Beau’, after he suffered a fatal arrow fired to the head. ‘Beau’ died on Thursday at the Chum Creek Wildlife Shelter where he was being given care after the attack at Bundoora. ‘Hope’, who had an arrow fired into the base of her tail and was rescued two days before ‘Beau’, stood by him.
