THE TEXAS MILITARY DEPARTMENT (TMD) HELD A RIBBON CUTTING CEREMONY August 16, 2021, at Camp Swift, Bastrop, Texas, along with a host of government officials to commemorate the unveiling of the first ever 3D-printed Barracks. TMD partnered with a construction technology company to design, and 3D print an innovative training barracks. The 3,800 sq. ft. building is set to house up to 72 soldiers or airmen at their primary training facility while they train for missions in Texas or overseas. EGYPT THE TEXAS NATIONAL GUARD HOSTED A DELEGATION OF SENIOR OFFICERS from the Egyptian Armed Forces for the Egypt-Texas International Summit (ETIS) in Texas at the invitation of Texas Adjutant General, MG Tracy Norris. The weeklong summit provided a collaborative environment for Texas and Egypt’s senior military leaders to discuss the future of the Egypt-Texas partnership and learn more about each other’s respective organizations.
