2016 FOOTBALL PROGRAM
A Message from the Principal Dear Arcadia Football Community, Welcome to the 2016 Arcadia football season. I am always excited this time of year for the start of school but also for the start of football! At Arcadia we are blessed with talented students, teachers, staff, parent groups, and to be located in a fantastic community. Our excellence was on display last school year when yet again every varsity team sport on campus had a winning record. Our successes, as well as our focus on school spirit, resulted in the largest football crowds that I have seen in my twenty-two years working in athletics at a comprehensive high school. This year one of our goals is to continue to support the outstanding programs that we have while enhancing the culture of respect for educational integrity via the Arcadia Learning Community Commitment. I would like to introduce Arcadia’s new Athletic Director this year Ms. Cher Fesenmaier. Her hard work and dedication to our students will prove to be a valuable asset to Arcadia athletics. She has been a coach as well as a trainer for the University of Nevada and UNLV. I would like to thank her for her leadership guiding our athletic program in a manner consistent with the AIA’s mantra of Victory with Honor. I would also like to welcome our new Athletic Trainer, Ann Stevens, and thank her in advance for all that she does to ensure the safety of our student/athletes. I would like to thank Terry Blaker our Equipment Manager, Athletic Administrative Assistant Michelle Gann, and Kristin Thomas our Bookstore Manager for all that they do to make Arcadia Athletics operate with great efficiency. Thank you to Head Football Coach Lenny Abt, and to his entire staff, for instilling in the football program a vision consistent with that of the school. Also, my deepest appreciation goes to the Football Boosters for their ongoing support of the football program. The work that was accomplished over the summer to the field house was a tremendous improvement to our athletic facilities. Your dedication is greatly appreciated by the entire Arcadia Athletic Department! I am confident our football team will represent Arcadia well this season as we tackle a difficult schedule in the newly recreated 5A Conference. As a former football coach, and a lifetime fan of sports, I am excited to see the team compete for a birth in 5A Conference playoffs. Our athletes have been working hard all summer and I am certain that they will confront all challenges with sportsmanship, integrity, respect, and with Arcadia Pride. This year Arcadia High School will apply for the AIA’s award for exhibiting respectful behaviors, and we would request all spectators’ assistance in this endeavor by cheering positively for Arcadia student/athletes. Thank you all in advance for what I know will be another successful year here at Arcadia High School. Go Titans!!!
Sincerely,
Nathan Slater Arcadia High School Principal

2016 FOOTBALL PROGRAM
A Letter from the Head Football Coach Arcadia Fans, Thank you for joining us for an evening of Arcadia football! We have spent the off-season working hard, in order to achieve our team goals. It is my professional desire that we represent Arcadia High School in a manner that is consistent with pride, class, sportsmanship and a commitment to excellence. I believe that football is the greatest sport in the world and that it teaches us many life lessons. There are triumphs, failures, great struggles and adversity. Success is only obtained through a mixture of hard work, dedication, talent and heart. The lessons learned on the field aid us off the field in our personal lives. I believe that participating in football helps develop young men into successful, responsible adults. The coaching staff and I want to thank the Boosters, Administration, students, parents and the Arcadia community for all the support we have received. We are excited for this season and have set some very high goals. After the off-season, it’s time for the Titans to awaken! We don’t just say family. We are a family! Sincerely,
Coach Abt Varsity Head Coach
The Arcadia High School Student Body wants to thank our senior Titans football players for their strength, persistence and spirit! Go Titans and good luck in the years to come. 4

to say that the Arcadia football community is a fabulously supportive one, from
to the ever-so-resourceful and organized Mrs. Gann, and of course our wonderful is a good day to be a Titan!” Coach Abt and his fellow coaches have high expectations for those who wear the Titan uniform. They are expected to be students first and athletes throughout the season. There are many ways in which students can receive
provided locations for students to work on their academics in the newly updated the Football Boosters in supporting the team once again! It takes quite an effort to monitor this program, but because we care about the long-term success of our student-athletes, we firmly believe it is the right thing to do. For this, Coach Abt and all those who touch these student-athletes’ lives should be commended. At Arcadia, we fully embrace the AIA policy of “Pursuing Victory with Honor.” Accordingly, we strive to treat our visiting student-athletes, their fans and game officials in a hospitable manner. We invite you to come to the games, cheer wildly for our Titans and have the time of your life. Please remember, however, to always treat our visitors the way we hope the Titans are treated when they are on the road. That is, after all, the Titan Way! Go Titans! 2016 FOOTBALL PROGRAM
A Letter from the Booster Club President Dear Arcadia Football Community, On behalf of all of our Booster Club Board members, were are pleased to kick off the 2016 Arcadia Titans Football season! It is truly a privilege to serve our Titans community as Booster Club President and I know from their preseason preparation that our Booster board team is dedicated to enhancing the experience of our players, families and community. Our mission is to lead the Arcadia Titans family of players, coaches, parents, students and administration in the support and cultivation of a championship football program that emphasizes teamwork, personal growth, leadership and the development of athletes who strive to make a positive contribution to our community. It truly takes a neighborhood to raise young men who are accountable and disciplined with a strong work ethic. It’s through our boys’ experience as athletes and participating as a member of a football team, that sportsmanship, leadership and character are created. I am excited about this season as we collaborate together, each in our own roles, to create a world class environment for our boys - a championship mindset. Win or lose we are contributing to nurturing young men of determination and character – Titan Pride! The Booster Club is not an exclusive clique of elites. Rather, you are the booster club. We together in support of our team, our students and our community with a shared vision comprise the Arcadia Titans Football Booster Club! In this day and age of limited school district budgets, much of the resources needed to support our sons, our coaches and a championship football program are simply not available. Through the efforts of our booster community of volunteers and sponsors, we are able to raise and deploy funds that provide the basic necessities such as team uniforms, updated equipment, scholarships for football camps, pregame team meals, game film, locker room and facility maintenance. We thank our sponsors in the Arcadia Neighborhood for sharing our vision, seeing the potential in our athletes and making a commitment to support our players. Without their contributions we would not be able to meet the needs of our three teams. I ask that you make yourself familiar with the local sponsors in this program, whose banners are on the field and the names on our scoreboard – please show them your appreciation by giving them your business and thanking them for supporting Arcadia Football. We look forward to seeing you at the games and hope you enjoy your experience this season as you cheer on our Titans, participate in volunteer activities, and socialize with family, friends, alumni and our local sponsors. Go Titans!
